Chapter 16:

Third Person's POV:

A heart of a child was so pure and that is said to be where the pure thoughts and good vibrations resides. The little angel Aarav was continuously looking at the digital clock in his room, with his chin pointed on the pillow lying on his ribs.

He was biting his lips curiosity and waiting for the clock to strike four. Once he saw number four in that digital machine, without waiting a second he ran to his paati.

"Paatiiii.... Paaatiiii... Whevre arev yovu?" he ran into the kitchen and jumped on her hip.

"Ammaaaa... Dei... Your paati is very old. Don't jump like this and break my hip." Told Urmila wincing in pain.

"Chory(sorry) chory... Paati, you savid baby will covme when the clocgk chows thee... Call baby." Aarav urged his granny.

"Dei... It's not three its four, your baby teached you numbers right. " she asked Aarav.

"Ha..ha.. Four... I'm chory it's four paati, cavll my baby and ask where is she? Pleash. " That little boy pleaded with his big glassy eyes.

"Yen chella kutty (my cutie pie), your baby will come soon. We can't call her now, she must be busy with her work chellam." Urmila tried to explain and kissed her grandson's forehead.

All on a sudden Aarav started crying, he was missing Krisha terribly, she never left him like this, it had been two days so he started missing his mother. Even though Krisha called him often Aarav missed her badly.

"Yen chellame... Don't cry. God what will I do. Let the man who gave so much work to Krisha rot in hell. " she cursed Krisha's boss which was unknowingly Manohar.

Suddenly door bell rang, an instant smile formed on Aarav's lips, in lightning speed he ran to the door and tried to open it but he couldn't his height didn't support him.

"Paati... Come chast(fast)" told that little munchkin.

"Ada iru da varean.... (Wait I'm coming.)" told Urmila and opened the door.

"Kabi uncol" Aarav jumped on Kabir. Aarav likes Kabir a lot but the first question he asked him was "whevre is my baby?" Searching for Krisha behind Kabir's back.

"Let me come in first young man." Told Kabir and entered the house. He greeted Urmila and told her about him staying with them. He also informed that they cannot contact Krisha due to the Strom ahead. Simultaneously electricity went off, and the apartment started functioning with the generator.

"There is no signal in my mobile aunty so I couldn't call her. Don't worry everything will be back to normal soon." He told Urmila looking at the dark sky and the howling wind through the window.

Aarav sat on the couch, his tears flowing silently, he was wiping it with his small delicate palms. "Young man, don't cry. Your mom will be back soon trust me she is also missing you, she told me that. " Kabir tried to console Aarav.

"Then why Che didn't come?" That little soul asked Kabir.

After few minutes Kabir was done convincing Aarav and started playing with him. Meanwhile one of Krisha's neighbors knocked the door.

"Hi Urmila aunty, I need a help from you." Asked a women in her thirties.

"Come in Pretha, tell me. " told Urmila.

"I will leave my son suresh here, let him play with Aarav while I go down and get some groceries in the ground floor. Its raining badly aunty. Suresh's dad called me and asked me to buy the necessary groceries, we are expecting a Strom do you know?" She asked Urmila.

"Yeah...yeah... I know. No problem. Come in Suresh. Go play with Aarav." Urmila welcomed him.

"Do you want anything aunty?" Pretha asked Urmila.

"No dear, Krisha already stuffed the refrigerator with everything. " told Urmila then Pretha left the place.

Aarav was playing with his friend Suresh, who was three years older than him, Kabir went to the restroom to freshen up leaving the two kids to play.

"Did you see Aarav it raining a lot. My mommy went down alone, I'm scared, I'm going to save her. " told Suresh.

"My baby alcho alone, I wivll Chave her." Told Aarav.

"No no Aarav you are a small boy. Stay home I will go and find my mother. Bye." Told Suresh and left the flat. Suresh saw his mom in the staircase and both of them went to their house.

"I'm no csmall boy. I wivll find my baby. " with that Aarav ran out of his flat. Kabir came out of restroom and searched Aarav everywhere but he couldn't find the small boy.

Aarav came to the entrance making the rain water drench him, he rubbed his eyes with his small palm and looked at a car in front of him.

According to him that car would take him to his mommy because it was white in color, usually Krisha leaves to office in a white car.

He ran to the car and sat inside it, he was a tiny frame so without knowing that a little boy was at the backseat the driver drove off the car with headphones plugged in his ear blazing high volume.

The driver stopped the car struck in traffic, Aarav thought it was his stop and got down the car.   The rain was making him difficult to see and he started trembling with cold.

"Baby... Ba...bavby..." He looked around but there was no sign of Krisha but only other people who were hastily doing their works without caring the small boy among them.

Aarav's heart started beating fast and looked terrified, he couldn't find his baby and all the humans around him looked like the people who were ready to hurt him.

"Paati.....(crying)... Baby....(crying).... Kabi uncol...(crying)" he walks through the raining streets and sat outside a closed shop. He was shivering with cold and crying his heart out scared.

"Baby......." Cried Aarav calling his mother.

______________

Adith's POV:

I was struck in traffic for almost an hour and irritated. I had to call dad but there was no signal.

Bloody Strom.

And the sound of my car wipers were so irritating. Damn rain "why do you have to pour like this?" I thought irritated and turned to my right.

There were water droplets on the glass window but that didn't blocked me from seeing a small bundle cuddled up to its knee. I opened my window and saw the same little boy I saw the other day in Krisha's flat crying "Baby......" I could clearly hear his voice even though it was raining badly.

I didn't bother about getting wet or my car in the center of the road. I ran to him and lifted him immediately hugging him close to my heart.

He buried his face into my neck and hugged me with all his strength crying, he looked afraid and also I guessed he recognized me. I ran back to my car carrying him and made him sit on the passenger seat but he climbed on my lap and hugged me.

"Hey little chicken, do you remember me? "I asked rubbing his back.

He looked at me with clattering teeth and nodded his head "Yovu arev my chriend."

I kissed his nose and removed his shirt, taking my coat from the back seat I covered his tiny frame. Switching on the heater in my car I stated driving home when the traffic cleared.

"Wherve are we? " he asked me once I parked the car inside my gate.

"We are in my house. Don't worry you are safe here. I'm your friend isn't it? I will not hurt you." I assured him and carried him into my house.

His mouth hung open looking at my house in awe. I enjoyed looking at that kid. I dropped him on my bed and tried to remove his pants.

"No..no what are yovu doving?" He asked me clutching his pants tight. He looked too much cute.

"Hey, you are wet man. You will catch cold. " I told and tried to remove his pants again but he didn't let me.

"Onlyv my paati and baby remove my pavnt. No ovther." He replied with a frown. I sighed and gave him a towel. "Okay fine, I'll turn around. You remove your pant and wrap this towel around you. "

He wrapped the towel around him, I tried to help him drape it properly but he refuced, so started drying his hair with another towel. I had a strange satisfaction while helping him.

"I want baby." He told me suddenly.

"All the shops are closed due to this Strom, I'll get you one tomorrow. " I pulled his legs and laughed.

"I wavnt to gov to my baby." He told me and started crying. I consoled him and got to know the so called baby he asks was his mother. He told me his stunt to save his mother.

"You are a small boy how can you be so stupid? What of I didn't see you today. You should not leave your house like that. Give me your home number I'll call and inform your parents. " I asked him. But he was too young to know his parents contact number.

"I wavnt to mveet my paati. " he resumed crying.

"Little chicken, see there, it's raining badly. I will drop you home tomorrow. Don't worry okay. Now stop crying and be a good boy. " I told him.

"Promish.." He showed me him palm and I assured him making him stop crying.

Moments later my room door opened suddenly and that little boy dropped the towel he was clutching around his hip. "Aahhh..." he screamed and picked up the towel making me laugh and glaring at my dad who was standing in the entrance.

"I dovn't livke you, you scaved me." He told my dad.

After a heartily laugh I asked him " What's your name?"

"My navme is Aarav, my baby cavll me daddy, my paati cavll me dei, my girlfriend in my flatg cavll me cuvtie." He told and blushed.

I crushed him and kissed his chubby cheeks making him giggle, "so you do have girlfriends at this age ah..?" I teased him.

"Care to explain Adith." Asked my dad. I told dad everything, he was happy that the little boy was safe.

"I'll go and make dinner. Both of you join me in an hour. " told dad and went down.

I went to my dad's room and got my childwood cloths he kept on my memory and made Aarav dressed in them.

I was unexplainably happy after meeting Aarav, my heart told me to keep him with me. We went down for dinner, dad made pizza. That aroma filled my entire house.

Aarav started playing around, my hall was messed up. He scribbled on the main wall in the name of his drawings I couldn't stop him. I just couldn't disappoint that little fellow. Surprisingly dad was also keeping quiet, he didn't shout at me for giving my childhood cloths to Aarav.

Aarav burned his lips a little while having pizza my dad sat next to him and started feeding him by cutting bread into small pieces.

"Thatha(grandfather) thvis is yumyum." He showed a thumps up and kissed dad's cheek. My dad's eyes watered but he hide it in front of me.

"You want some more?" He asked him.

"No I'm chull(full)." He told rubbing his stomach and went straight to my room as if it was his own home, totally reckless without any fear. I liked it.

"This boy, I could see your mom in him." told dad.

"He look totally different dad. " I told dad.

"You don't understand, I know my wife Adith. This boy behaves exactly like Urmi, same attitude. And...and I miss her. " he told Adith.

"I'm sorry. " I told dad. I could only apologize.

"How long you are going to suffer me Adith, marry someone and give me a grandchild. " pleaded my dad.

"Not again dad please. " I told him then heard Aarav yell from my bedroom. I ran to my room and saw him cuddled up in a corner looking at Rohan. When he saw me he jumped on me and hugged me.

"Uncol, see, that stovne moves." He told me pointing at Rohan.

"It's not a stone buddy. It's my pet turtle." I told Aarav. And went close to Rohan. Taking a carrot from my room refrigerator. I put it in front of Rohan.

His head came out of his shell and he started eating the carrot. Aarav was so much exited and started playing with Rohan.

"Tevll me stovries, I cavn't chleep. " he told Adith, I pulled him over my chest and told him my story, my love story.
