The night was long, her anxiety was building as she thought more and more about what was going to happen. It's not like he was going to reject her right? But why was it very difficult to let him know what she was feeling. They can still take things slow from there, just the feeling that she now has someone and that someone doesn't force his opinions on her and respects her views made her feel blessed.

Somehow, late in the night she fell into deep slumber. On the other hand, Abhimanyu had this weird good mood and for no reason he played some good music and just vibed with it, which made his whole family give him weird stares. Sure, his music taste was so bad that when he was happy he would listen to "chana meriya". Who would do that? But that's him with no reasons given.

As soon as he received her text that she reached home, he just smiled and sent her a smiley emoji.

She was something that he wasn't expecting to happen in life. He always thought that someone like him would complete him. With her, it felt all right and she was someone who needed lot of assurance which he was ready to give along with his love for the next seven lives. As much as cringe all of that used to sound,it didn't feel so to him.

Though still he didn't get any sign from her, he was sure they held a future. He would wait, because he believed good things always take time to happen.

The next morning, as usual Ekantha went for a walk with a fresh mood and a broad smile on her face. She returned back home and started searching for a proper attire for her to dress up. It's her first day at her work which she loves doing, its the first time she is going to confess her feelings to someone and she wanted to be presentable. She picked a banarasi litchi red silk saree for the day.

Quickly completing her morning chores, she dressed up in her saree, with her usual pair of jhumkas and a neck piece which wasn't too heavy nor too light which just suited her outfit for the day, she kept her kajal and bindi. One last time she looked in the mirror, feeling satisfied by her look she braided her hair into a bun.

Exactly, when she was ready she heard her phone buzz. It was Abhi as expected and she answered the call.

"Hi Ammu, Good morning!",he said in a cheerful voice.

"Good morning, Abhi. You seem to be very cheerful today, what's the matter?",she asked.

"Nothing special, the usual. Have been like this since last night I don't know if its just the emotional imbalance because of the fever? Or I am just usually cheerful like this? I don't know! Anyways, I am waiting. Come soon",he said.

"Are you here, already? I'll be there in five minutes",she said.

"I am waiting for you baby, prathi janma aa neethone, I am waiting for you baby[a song from oye movie]",he sang and she chuckled while going to her mother's room after disconnecting the call.

Her mother was up already and was going to come out.

"Maa, Abhi is here. I will go to temple and come back soon, inform Vennela and aunty about it and bless me",she took her mother's blessings.

"Bye kanna, take care",Kanyaka said while Ekantha rushed out to not to make him wait anymore. She took the stairs and went outside the apartment to find his car and he was standing leaning to the car looking around.

Wearing a white shirt and blue jeans, he was looking too good for Ekantha's heart to beat at rapid speed.

As soon as he looked at her, a bright smile formed on his face and he took steps towards her as she was walking towards him.

"Aye,hayee! Nazar na lage to you, ammu! You look so pretty and this colour suits you pretty well must say",he said.

Ekantha was having a hard time controlling herself from turning into a complete tomato.

"Thank you, Abhi! You look good too",she said trying hard not to stutter.

"Aww, thank you and here are some flowers for you! I told maa that today is your first day and she sent these flowers with me for you",he said giving her jasmine flowers garland.

"Thank you so much, these are my favourite. I was just thinking to buy them on my way to temple",she said taking the flowers.

"Umm, if you don't mind. May I?",he asked her to which she nodded turning around.

He put jasmine garland in her hair carefully,trying not to make a mess. When he was small, he used to see his father putting the jasmine garland in his mother's hair and they are his ideal couple. The love they share makes him feel jealous sometimes, that if he would ever find someone to love and cherish. He might have lied about the part that his mother giving him the flowers so as to not make her worried and scared.

"Perfect, now your look is complete",he said and she turned around.

"Shall we?",he asked extending his hand doubtful if she would give her hand. He was almost going to take it back and she put her hand in his, holding it tight and looking into his eyes which were having an amused expression. He looked at their hands which were entwined and then at her to find her already looking at him.

Both of them moved to the car and like a gentleman, which he is he opened the door for her and made sure she settled down and moved to the driver's seat. Kanyaka who was looking at them from the balcony, had a satisfied smile on her face. The guy who her daughter was having feelings for will love and cherish her till forever and that she was sure of.

Both of them were travelling to temple and Abhi was just humming some random song and along with him she started humming the song too. It was, first time that he was actually seeing Ekantha happy and active which was not something that happens everyday. They reached the temple and both of them got down,left their foot wear outside the temple and started climbing the steps of the temple.

Ekantha already had the things required for pooja so she didn't buy anything and directly went to the temple. It was a Ganesh temple nearby Abhi's home. They entered the temple and ringed the bell three times. They went to the murti of the Lord Ganesh and started praying. The pandit asked her to give the coconut and other puja supplies and went to perform the pooja.

"Gothra naamalu cheppama[gothram and names of the people who you want to perform pooja]",The pandit asked.

"Nagula gothram, Kanyaka, Ekantha",she said and looked at Abhimanyu.

"Bharadwaja gothram, Virendra, Vishalakshi, Mayuri,Abhimanyu",he said and the pandit went to continue the pooja.

Ekantha closed her eyes and prayed for everything to go well and not to have any backfire at the end. She prayed that the everyone gets happiness,health and success around her including her. While Abhi just prayed for her to come into her life and also bless her with all the happiness because she deserved it.

The pandit gave them coconut and blessed them both saying"shigrameva kalyana prapthirasthu" hope they get married soon to which none of them said anything and looked in the opposite direction to which the pandit laughed. He gave the prasad to both of them along with the coconut and sat back.

Both of them decided to do three circumambulations around the temple, with their hands joined in namaskar mudra both moved around the temple one after the other. Ekantha's hands and feet were going cold,she was getting tensed. After completing the circumambulations, they both sat on the steps of the temple.

Abhimanyu noticed that she was hesitating to tell something.

"Do you want to say something, Ammu?",he asked and her throat went dry. She felt like she was overwhelmed by all her feelings.

"Ye..I mean..I",she was struggling to form words.

"What happened, Ammu? Is everything okay?Are you not feeling well?",he asked concerned about her.

"Abhi, I don't know from where did I get this much courage. If you would have said me,that I would be confessing my feelings to some person few months ago,I would have probably had a panic attack thinking of all the impossible possibilities and rejections and what not. It took a lot for me to come till here, I want to tell you what I feel in my heart on this day which is special to me because you know why.

I don't know when and how it happened, but seems like it happened with me,Abhi. When you are sick I get worried, when you don't talk to me for a day, I go crazy. With you, I feel like I am in safer hands and with you I feel like I can be myself and you would never judge or think otherwise. You have always given me space and a penny for my thoughts. When I said, I got a job which I would love doing, you didn't ask me what the job was instead you just said we'll celebrate, you talked to your parents for me and what not.

I love the fact, that no matter how many time I doubt myself or come up to you with all type of questions, you never yelled at me for asking such questions and instead made me understand what was going on.

You are something, Abhi something that I can't describe but I want you in my life till my last breathe, Abhi. I don't know if I'll be the best for you or not but I promise, I'll always be there for you in your highs and lows, I promise in the presence of God. I..I love you,Abhi. I don't know how else to say this except for telling you what all I feel",she said and was almost on the verge of tears.

Abhi was speechless,he held her hand and looked at her while she was looking at the ground having no more courage left in her to face him. He lifted her head with his other hand and his eyes met hers.

"You have no idea, what this means to me Ekantha! I have been waiting to hear this from you for so long and trust me, I mean it when I say it. I love you and I will cherish you till my last breath. Honestly, I wanted to make it something special when I confess my feelings for you but you gave me one of the best birthday gifts ever making my special day even more special. I love you and thank you for coming into my life. I've always believed that good things take time to happen and even though we took our sweet time in taking slow steps till here, we will continue to do so. Just because you said, yes we won't get married tomorrow. Though I would love to do it, let us take things in this pace",he said leaving her completely shocked...

Abhi's thoughts :
OMG, OMG, OMG, Freak is it true? Did I wake up today? Ouch it hurts! I did and I wanted to tell her about my birthday at the end of th day after her work and then go somewhere but today- every word she said still its ringing in my ears. I still can't belive the girl with golden heart has given a place for me in her heart. I would remember this birthday forever in my life. Thank you Ammu, for coming into my life!

Hello dear readers, How are you all doing?

And and and finally they confessed their feelings when we are almost close to 40 chapters in the book.

They had a bumpy journey throughout and they deserved to confess feelings to each other, but brownie points to Ekantha for doing it on his birthday even if she didn't know. Doesn't she deserve the brownie points guys?

I hope you all liked the confession part, I never had the idea of making it with all the decorations and confession, it happens in life when the moment just comes and we confess that's all. I believe that the moment,person and the feelings matter. That's what I wanted to show too, hope I kept it up to your expectations.
