Swara.

Yesterday night, Riya and Divya kept on asking about my first night experience. They know, he was my crush and he proposed first, for this marriage. That's why they were so interested in hearing about my first night. When I felt, they won't leave me forever, I changed the topic and asked about their boyfriends. Thank God! That worked. They were so immersed in bragging about their boyfriends that they forgot about my first-night thing. Of course, this would happen if you have cousins of your age.

I woke up early. After taking a bath, I went to the kitchen for making the tea. I insisted on Sulochana kaki and made the tea. Even she likes to drink my special tea.

Then, I went to each and everyone's room for keeping the morning tea on the table. Even though I'm a coffee addict, I like to prepare tea more than coffee. When I entered my room, Sanskar was still asleep. How innocent he looks! I felt like to kiss his cheeks and those rosy lips. Swara!! What.the.hell. you know he doesn't deserve it. Don't forget your sanity! I scolded myself and kept the tea on the tea table.

I know today is an important day in my life. I'm going to work. I'm going to earn. I'm going to stand myself. I felt proud of myself. I have taken a master degree in computer science. And now, I'm going to work as a system manager. I felt so happy.

It would be 8 in the morning, everyone came downstairs. I made breakfast and side dishes quickly so that everyone can have it on time. Sanskar came after getting ready.

"Mom, ask everyone to have breakfast. I will come after getting ready." I stated and went to my room.

I came downstairs after getting ready. I could see everyone washing their hands after having breakfast. I went to them smiling.

"Shona, eat this kheer." Papa gave me a spoon full of kheer as I was going to the office for the first time.

I took blessings from elders and went with Sanskar. We entered the car and there was a deadly silence. Suddenly, Sanskar got a call.

"Yes, Lavanya. I'm on the way. So, every arrangement is done, right?" He was talking to her. What type of arrangements? I hope, he wasn't planning anything against me.

"Okay, that's good!" He looked at me with a smirk. I was scared. I was sweating badly. Why the hell I had even agreed for joining his company. I'm sure, he won't leave me in peace.

"Madamjii is sweating hard. What happened? Even the ac is on. Do you need anything." He was aiming at me sarcastically. The nerve of this man. I hate him.

"Sorry to disappoint you. I'm not at all sweating. You are flying so high, Sanskar. I swear you can't do anything to me. Even if, you are thinking to trouble me with overload chores, I don't care." I said without cracking my voice. What does he think of himself? A Greek God? Hell!!

"I'm not at all a Greek god. But yes, I'm your God. I can destroy you completely within a minute. So don't mess with me, bitch." What the hell! How could he even hear that? Urg!! Swara, now just concentrate on your breathing. Sanskar is a shit. Okay!

Soon we reached Maheshwari group of companies. It was standing in front of me with tremendous glory. Sanskar stormed inside the building without sparing me a glance. I sighed. I got inside the office to see many girls wearing a very short dress. What the hell! Was there any ramp walk here? Why can't they wear something decent? Look at their makeup! God!! I think they spend their whole salary on buying this dress and makeup kit. I shook my head and went to the reception area. 

"Swara Sanskar Maheshwari here!" I announced and I could see many gazes at me. Of course, they would be looking at me with an alien expression. I was wearing a simple crop top and plazo unlike them.

"Swara mam, your cabin is on the 5th floor." I heard a soft female voice coming from the elevator. I have seen her somewhere. But--

"Mam, myself Lavanya. I'm the assistant secretary of Sanskar Maheshwari." The girl came and introduced herself. She shook hands with me.

"Okay, I will be taking leave now," I said and entered the lift. Did I saw Lavanya before? Ahh!! Leave it. I'm here for doing my work.

I reached the 5th floor. I could see everyone working there. All of them started to greet me. I smiled and greeted back. This all was new to me. Actually, I want to work here as a system manager, not as a maheshwari bahu.

"Mam, I will show your cabin." I saw Aman, Sanskar's chief secretary coming towards me. I followed him. We reached to a cabin.
He knocked the glass door. I wondered why he was knocking it.

"Come in!" I heard Sanskar's voice from inside. Why the hell I was going to meet him, now. We entered the cabin. Sanskar's cabin was so vast. It was simple but elegant. God!! Why the hell I'm always smitten by designs and sculptures.

"Aman, you can go," Sanskar ordered and he exited the cabin.

"So, Mrs Maheshwari, this is your cabin. You should work in front of me. I don't trust you. What if you forge the important documents or helped our rival company by hacking the system? I can't take the risk. So, you should work in front of me." He announced and continued doing his work.

I fumed from there. Such an insult!? For what? This man standing in front of me was a psycho. That's it! Now, I'm trapped. I need to talk to badi papa. I sat on the chair and took a file from the bundle.

"Sir, this is about the serene project. It needs your signature urgently." I saw a girl entering inside the cabin without knocking. Manners!! Where were her manners. Which employer would come into her boss's cabin without knocking the door? And the cherry on the top, she was trying to get closer to my husband.

"Simran, ask Aman to call for a meeting." He ordered the girl. Simran? Now, who is this? Anyways, I was not going to leave the matter here. How dare she.

"Excuse me, Ms Simran! Aren't you supposed to knock the door before rushing inside?" I asked sarcastically. She looked at me with anger and disbelief.

"Who the hell are you to say that to me. I'm Sanskar sir's assistant secretary. And we have rights to enter his cabin without knocking if the matter is urgent." The nerve the girl. I glared at her.

"Mind! Mind your language! I'm Mrs Swara Sanskar Maheshwari! Now, get lost." I saw her getting shocked. She mustn't have thought I would be his wife. She mumbled a sorry and rushed outside. I turned and saw Sanskar looking at me angrily.

"You!! Who gave you the rights to question my staffs? Don't you dare to repeat the mistake. And yes, I want you to respect my secretaries formally. I don't want you to rule over them." I hate him!! Here, his own wife was at the verge of humiliation. But for him, all that matters was his ego. I didn't reply to anything.

"Mrs Maheshwari, you are supposed to attend a meeting now," Sanskar announced and I followed him to the conference hall. I could see every board members there. It was my very first day and I was scared.

"Good afternoon, everyone. Today we have held this meeting to discuss the serene project. I hope everyone is ready to start the meeting." Aman was introducing the matter.

"So we are planning to add a new member to the project. That is Mrs Swara Maheshwari. She would be handling the data and development management charts of the project." Aman announced and I felt so happy.

I could see badi papa and papa smiling at me. Both of them used to visit the office if there was any meeting only. Now they were here for the same.

"So, I officially welcome Mrs Swara Maheshwari to the Maheshwari company. Good luck, Mam." Aman said looking at me and I smiled to him.

"If we are able to do this project successively, then our stock rates will go up. Our share market would be increasing to 20.5%. I hope, everyone will be cooperating with us. I need Mrs Maheshwari to update me daily. If any mistake happens from her side, the punishment would be worst." Sanskar stood and said those words. I need to prove myself. Wait and watch, Mr Maheshwari.

The meeting was over. Aman gave me the important documents about the serene project. I need to do homework. I kept the files in my bag securely and started to look upon the file which I left by midway.
