SCENE 15

LOUIS is at his house. He sits in his bedroom with his laptop in front of him. He's obviously distressed and upset about something. Panning into the laptop, we see that he has over a thousand unread emails.

LOUIS

(to himself) Does it ever stop? 

(He grumbles as he starts at the top of his emails and opens them.) 

(LIAM enters)

LIAM

Hey, mate, what're you up to? 

(LOUIS turns to look at him, frowning. LIAM is slightly startled by this)

LIAM

Is now not a good time?

LOUIS

(sighing) No, I mean I just got about a thousand emails I have to go through.

(LOUIS pulls a hand through his hair)

(LIAM takes a spot on LOUIS' bed.)

LIAM

Well, why don't you just delete them all? Problem solved.

LOUIS 

(grumbling as he reads through an email) I can't just mass deleted them all because some of them might be important. I've found some sponsorship emails in the middle of it all. 

LIAM

(half-joking) Well, maybe if you had a manager they could take care of it all.

(LOUIS turns back and glares at LIAM from his seat. He turns back towards the computer afterwards)

LIAM

I'm serious! Imagine how easy things would be if a manager took care of all of that. You could just focus on making your videos and stuff and not worry about that business side of it all. 

(LOUIS runs a hand through his hair and sighs loudly)

LOUIS

I don't have the money for something like that. Besides, no one wants to take me on for management. 

LIAM

(waving LOUIS' comment off) I'm sure loads of people would like to have our signed on for their agency. You've been all over the news the last couple of days. 

(LOUIS sighs loudly and shuts his laptop, sick of reading through emails.)

LOUIS

Maybe. (pause) I don't know! I don't even know how to go about getting signed on to an agency. Don't they approach you first for something like that?

(They both glance at the wall, deep in the thought. After a beat, LIAM lights up as if he's had an amazing idea.)

LIAM

I know! How about I be your manager?

(LOUIS makes a face and looks LIAM up and down in shock)

LOUIS

Why? You hate going through emails.

LIAM

(shrugging) Think about it, I'm organized and I keep your life together, to begin with. How much harder would it be to manage your emails and sponsorships and stuff like that? I'm sure it couldn't be that big of a deal. Besides, then I can get in with the big-players. It's a win-win for both of us. 

(LOUIS doesn't seem as sure about this idea as LIAM is)

LOUIS

I don't know, Li. It's a lot of work.

LIAM

And I'm ready. I won't let you down, Louis!

SCENE 16

The scene starts with LIAM and LOUIS walking through the aisles of Target. Neither of them are in their work-uniforms, so they're just there to shop. LIAM pushes a red shopping cart while LOUIS walks next to it looking at his phone. Both boys wear the same outfits they wore in the previous scene. 

LIAM

What else is on the list?

(LOUIS pulls his phone closer to his face and squints)

LOUIS

Uh... a brownie box. 

(LIAM looks over at LOUIS and glares)

LIAM

I'm serious

(LOUIS smiles and lets his shoulder slump.)

LOUIS

Me too! It's been a hard week. At least let me indulge in some brownies.

(LIAM rolls his eyes. He's given in.)

LIAM

Fine. (pause) What else?

(LIAM looks back at his phone, a huge smile on his face. He slyly glances at LIAM again before smirking.)

LOUIS

Firecrackers.

LIAM

No. Nice try though.

LOUIS

You're no fun.

Both boys are interrupted as we see two girls enter the stage from the right. They're in their mid-twenties. Both are average looking girls with a nice fashion sense. LIAM and LOUIS continue without noticing the girls, but the girls obviously notice LIAM and LOUIS. They both glance at each other.

GIRL 2

(whispering) it has to be him! Look!

(GIRL 2 shows GIRL 1 a photo from her phone. GIRL 1 looks down to the phone and then back up at LOUIS. LOUIS and LIAM still haven't noticed the two girls.)

GIRL 1

Are you sure? It's going to be totally awkward if we go up and ask for a photo and it's not even him. 

(GIRL 2 thinks about this for a moment, then shrugs. Without talking to GIRL 1 about any more, GIRL 2 dashes out from the aisle and towards LIAM and LOUIS.)

GIRL 2

Hi! I was just wondering if you're Louis Tomlinson?

(LIAM and LOUIS have stopped pushing the cart. LOUIS stares at the girl in shock for a beat. LIAM then elbows LOUIS to get his attention. LOUIS looks from LIAM to GIRL 2 before responding.)

LOUIS

(clearing his throat) Uh... yeah?

(GIRL 2 smiles widely and turns back to GIRL 1 who is hiding. GIRL 1 straightens and walks to join her friends.)

GIRL 1

(softly) hi.

LOUIS

Hey?

GIRL 2

(gesturing to the both of them) We're like huge fans! We've been subscribed even before you got famous. You're our favorite YouTuber.

(LOUIS is shocked. He has no clue what to say. LIAM notices this.)

LIAM

That's cool. Louis here has never met any subscribers before.

(LIAM gestures for LOUIS to go greet them. LOUIS is brought back to reality again and smiles widely at the two girls.)

LOUIS

 Yeah. Sorry. Shit. I'm a mess. 

(LOUIS runs a hand through his hair.)

LOUIS

I'm sorry. This is really cool. Did you two want a photo or something?

(The girls look back towards one another and smile. They both nod happily at LOUIS as GIRL 1 passes her phone to LIAM to take their photo. LOUIS moves so he's in between the girls.)

LIAM

Alright, I got a few.

(LIAM passes the phone back to GIRL 1, who pockets it.)

GIRL 2

Thank you so much! It was great meeting you!

GIRL 1

Honestly, this has made my year. I love your videos.

(LOUIS blushes)

LOUIS

Wow, thanks. If you post the photo make sure to tag me. I'll give both of you guys a follow.

(GIRL 1 smiles even wider as LOUIS waves them off. The girls run giggling back into the aisles.)
