𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿'𝘀 𝗣𝗢𝗩:

Anant came to his house and pressed the door bell. Without wasting a minute, Shakshi opened the door and he came in. To his surprising, all the members were gathered there and Mrs Chauhan was in the center, drinking lemon juice like those Bollywood villains.

"Actually mom-" Anant began to say but she cut her off quickly.

"Actually you were at Manpriya 'a house these days, right?" Mrs Chauhan asked as he slowly nodded. Shakshi and Radhika looked at each other before turning back. Disha was silently standing there.

It's not like she didn't regret but she don't want her mother to know about it and also, she won't be sad if they divorce.

"Mom, the truth is not like its showing. Manpriya is innocent-"

"Innocent? And her? I don't think so" Mrs Chauhan said.

"Believe it or not but its really not her fault and I'm not going to give her divorce. Mom, marriage is a holy ritual and it means getting a new life. I argued with you but I'm sorry this time. I really love her" Anant said, making Shakshi chucked a bit as little Ashu giggled.

"Nice going Uncle" Little Ashu said as Radhika pinched him, indicating to shut his mouth.

"Mom, I can tell you the truth if you want. But will you believe me?" Anant kneeled down in front of her mother.

"I expected that you would bring your loving wife with you but you didn't. You are really surprising me nowadays, my son" Mrs Chauhan said.

"I'll do anything you say but please don't tell me to divorce her. Please mom" Anant said as she looked at Disha

"Disha, do you have anything to say?"

"Um..well..I think you should forgive her" Disha said, slowly.

"No no, never I can forgive her. She broke my trust and did something which I can't expect! How can I forgive her?!" Mrs Chauhan said in anger.

"Mom, she didn't-" Anant was cut off again.

"What punishment should I give her, Disha?" Mrs Chauhan asked her as everyone except Mrs Chauhan looked at her with hatred.

"Um..what can I say?" She said, slowly

"No no, go ahead "

"Maybe letting her do all the household work by herself?" Disha suggested.

"Yes great! And a slap too" Mrs Chauhan smiled as she nodded.

"Mom this is too much. You can't punish the innocent!" Anant said.

"Shh! Shakshi! Radhika! For 1 month you don't have to do any work and also tell our servant to take leave for somedays" Mrs Chauhan said as theh were shocked but nodded.

Mrs Chauhan stood up and Anant too. She went to Disha and slapped her hard.

"M-Mom, you slapped me-"

"Yes. This is the slap and also do the household work for one month!" Mrs Chauhan said in anger. Everyone was surprised. They didn't see this coming and Anant and Shakshi was pleased that mom finally came to know the truth, unknown about How.

"B-but-" Disha trembled as Mrs Chauhan sighed.

"I was a fool back then that I believed you and why won't I? You're my daughter after all but you proved me wrong " Her voice broke down "I shouldn't have pushed Manpriya out of the house but that moment when I saw her face, I felt that she wasn't lying..."

"Then why you did that?" Shakshi asked.

"Because if I didn't do that then Disha would have made a different plan to turn her down. Also I wanted to know the truth.

I know Manpriya is not that type of girl who will lose easily so I gave up on her as i knew she will find out the truth.

I kept an eye on Disha and also told Radhika to follow her outside " Mrs Chauhan said as everyone looked at Radhika with shock as she winked.

"You're also involved in this?!" Shakshi nearly shouted "You should have told me"

"Hehe, but what's the fun there? I wanted to give you all a surprise " Radhika giggled.

"I found out that it's not Manpriya but Disha who is in relation with Viraj. I felt like to kill my own daughter only that time.

I really feel guilty to have a daughter like her and I was ready to give her the punishment and about to send her to her uncle's house then...I came to know that you were planning to make Disha regret so I let it go.

I thought that she should realize her mistakes and then I'll handle the situation but to my surprise...." Mrs Chauhan slapped her hard again, making her cheeks swallowed.

"But...this girl...she is so cheap that still she didn't regret. I just couldn't believe that she is my daughter " Mrs Chauhan said with tears as Anant hugged her.

"Its okay mom. I'm happy that you finally know who's right" Anant said.

"I'm sorry my son. I'm equally guilt to suspect her and I'm ready to bear all the punishment she will give" She said to him as he chuckled.

"Mom, my Manpriya maybe evil but she is not cruel. She already forgiven you" He said.

"Today I myself will go to her house to bring her back" She smiled.

"Yayyy! Finally its over!" Little Ashu clapped as everyone laughed.

"And Disha," Anant went to her "I don't know why you hate her this much but you are the only daughter of my mother, and that's why everyone respects you very much.

Everything would have been okay if you tried to mingle with her. If you think, she really saved your life" Anant said as she broke into tears.

"I-I am sorry Brother. I'll apologize to her and also follow the punishment " She said as Mrs Chauhan looked at her with a little depressed.

"Remember Disha, one month for the punishment then I'll send you to your Uncle's house " Mrs Chauhan said.

"No no mom, I promise to do everything you say bit please don't send me away. Please mom!" She requested.

"Its for your own good. You should go there and study hard and who knows you may get a better boy-" Shakshi said as Mrs Chauhan glared at her.

"I-I mean a boy or girl who can help you with studies " Shakshi nervously smiled as everyone laughed.

Disha looked at everyone who were happy and thought "I think I should really go there...at least everyone will be happy then. I never thought that I'm the root of all the troubles but now everything will be alright."

Everyone went back to their rooms as Anant also went to his room as at the evening, he and his mom will go to bring Manpriya back.

Ok so, the next will be the last chapter as I don't to make it long. A short and simple story is fine of this time ;D
