Story 2 - Chapter 14
Story 2
The Gentleman Who Stole My Heart
Chapter 14
More than two months down and I couldn't believe I was actually enjoying my married life. Arjun made sure I explored all the choices in various fields. Every time we went out to eat, he made sure I chose not just for myself but for him as well. It was apparently a way for me to find what I liked and for him to try new stuff. We spent the weekends hanging out and enjoying various adventurous and fun activities. Sometimes we went to the amusement park with friends– his and mine. We could already see something brewing between Aarav and Radhika. Oh, how much fun it was to tease them both. There were days we both went rock climbing or hit the film city. At times he took me for cute dates. He was very caring.
We also visited our family homes. I couldn't believe WE had actually stayed in MY room. Daadi was the same old – irritating me and asking me to gear up for being a mother! Can she like chill in life? Poor Karan, she was after him for a marriage now. Even though we stayed in one room there was never a cross of 'the line'. There was a lot of tension that I felt being on the same bed at least in my head. I had no clue about his. Every time we stayed over at his or my family home we shared the room. Secret to be told – I liked it.
As for that uninvited stubborn guest between us. It was always there. The sexual tension, of course. We kissed a lot more. But what happened last evening had left me in a fix.
It was a Sunday. We had returned from his family home late into the afternoon. Lazy as the day was we both made it to our respective rooms for a nap. It was in the evening that it had happened.
We were both seated on the couch in the living hall. A cup of coffee and a good chat show– unneeded to say we both were having a great time laughing and sharing more jokes.
It happened all very suddenly. I placed my empty cup aside, looking at him and commenting something about the guest on the show. In response, much unexpected, his fingers rubbed over my lips. Perhaps, wiping away the coffee cream. Our eyes locked into an intense lock. In the next few seconds, his lips were over mine. I hungrily responded, letting him take the lead. My hands found their way around his neck. He leaned over me. I laid back on the couch in response. Before we even realised, we both had drifted away into an altogether new world. His hand moved up to my bosom and I moaned. He gasped aloud grunting whispers I couldn't understand. I felt his fingers, intruding, gently inside my top.
My skin felt fireworks where he touched. His lips left mine and found home in the crook of my neck. I was sure I would explode with the excitement my body felt. His fingers drawing patterns on my abdomen under the top. His stubble caressing my cheeks as he left wet kisses down the length of my side-neck. "Arjun." I gasped. I was moaning. I wanted more of it all. I only knew him and my body at the moment. An explosive combination! He kissed my chin. His kisses trailed downwards. I waited in anticipation. His hands moved upwards and I gasped as I realised where this was heading. Was I ready for it yet? To take our relationship to the next level? Did I trust him? The answers for all three was a Yes.
But, what if I did something wrong? What if he didn't appreciate me the way I was? Was I really ready to be intimate with him?
I was broken out of my thoughts as his hand pulled down my top and he pulled himself apart. Both of us breathing heavily, gazing at each other. "Excuse me." I said softly quickly making it to my room. My cheek burning with a fire of aftermath and embarrassment.
That was it after that I didn't even have the courage to talk to him, properly. The dinner happened quickly. Today morning again I left a little early for work. I had no clue about what our relationship was. We were married, crazily attracted (at least I was), he loved me but I did not.
I stirred the vegetables and added the gravy. My anxious heart was like ever, confused. The dinner was almost ready when I heard his presence.
"Hi!" I said trying to seem normal, as I stepped out of the kitchen.
"Hey!" He smiled a little hesitation on his face.
"Dinner's ready. Have a quick change while Is et the table."
"Aye, Aye, wifey!" His charming smile broke through victoriously from his hesitation.
Grinning I went back into the kitchen. I gulped some water, thinking about what could come next. I'd just listen to my gut. End of confusion.
We spoke about the day generally, as we did. The dinner was a peaceful affair. It was after dinner that he came into my room.
"I wanted to speak about what happened yesterday." He stated calmly. I took a deep breath and nodded.
"Are you mad at me? Why have you been behaving strange since then?" He asked directly, sitting before me.
I kept aside the file I was reading. "I am not mad at you."
"Then?"
"A little awkward I suppose." He smiled. I hated it when he smiled, when I was awkward.
"Can you not smile."
He raised an eyebrow clearly amused at my request. "Can we get to direct talking? I can't beat around the bush." He stated stupidly.
"I haven't been in a relationship before, Arjun, it's all too.." I shrugged unable to explain.
"You trust me?"
"I guess so." I held back the curving of my lips. He noted it I suppose, cause he smiled looking amused.
"You feel something for me?"
I stared at him my face growing a serious expression. I didn't have an answer. I just felt nice around him.
"Don't get worked up. I asked simply. Do you want to consummate our marriage?"
I blinked at him. This man couldn't find better words? Who asks it that way?
"I..I..don't.."
"Fudge the hesitance, you clearly want it as much as I do." He scooted closer to me, almost hovering upon me.
"I am afraid, Arjun." I said honestly.
"Of what?" His manner was tender and his hands held mine. It made me feel better. I was willing to trust him with my stupid insecurities.
"Of it. Of us. What if..?"
"Shh!" He whispered, placing his finger on my lips. He understood so quickly?
"Trust me Nisha, I will be by you. Every time. I understand your fears. Trust me please..?"
"What about the love? I don't love you.." I reminded him, in a hushed tone. He gave me a wide smile, one that I couldn't decode.
"You don't have to. My love is enough." As he said that, he kissed my forehead. I immediately wrapped my arms around his waist. I felt perfect with him. He didn't push me to anything. He let me be, me!
"Now, can we get to some action? You've no clue how desperately I've waited for this day!"
I blushed looking down. "Wait!" I said as he came closer.
"What?"he asked in an irritated tone.
" I will...I ..umm."
He chuckled. "Okay."
"You understood?" I asked surprised as he got up to leave .
He grinned nodding in a yes and disappeared. I closed my eyes rushing to my wardrobe to pull out that new nightie Aaru had gifted me, and then ran into the washroom.
With a thudding heart and uneven steps I slowly walked closer to his room. I had pulled on a descent night robe over the scandalous nightie. No I couldn't do this. I was almost close to his room when my feet refused to move. He would have perhaps been asleep. Yes, runaway Nisha. I took an about turn when I was stopped by his voice. "Nisha!"
I shut my eyes. Such wrong timing. Breathing out, I turned slowly. "Hi!"
"What's wrong?" He asked baffled
"Nothing!" I said staring at him. Trying hard to smile causally and not that smile which said I am in a mess.
He grinned walking up to me like a predator. The glint in his eyes made me gulp. What had I got myself into!
I wondered what his reaction would be if I told him I wasn't ready. Perhaps the same of a lion which was convinced he would get food and then not given food. Shoot! He'd hate me if I did that. I didn't want his hate. He came closer and closer, until we were inches apart. I freaked out. "Arjun , I think I am not yet ready." I blurted out. He looked as though entertained, his lips holding back a laugh.
"What!" I said irritated. I just didn't like when he found me amusing.
"Stop fretting. I am not going to hurt you or eat you. Unless you want me to!" He added the last bit suggestively, his tone seductive. Holy! My mouth fell open at that. I was sure my cheeks had reddened at that.
"I can't." I looked at him,pleadingly.
"I knew it. " he smiled. "We can sleep together at least? Please." He made a pouty pleading face. I nodded smiling. Relieved that he didn't expect anything to happen between us.
He pulled me closer as I lay on one side. I glanced at him questioningly not really minding what he did. In fact I had secretly desired to snuggle into his warmth. "How are you going to get comfortable with me. It's step one Nish!" He pulled the duvet over us. For the first time we were under the same duvet.
"Nish?" I asked. This was the second time he called me that. The first being on the morning after our first night, where he thought I was in his dream. I grinned remembering the scene. I liked it!
"Now what's running in your head?"he asked curious as his hand encircled my waist. Surprisingly I was liking his closeness.
" nothing!" I said, cursing myself in my head.
"Liar."
"It's nothing, good night Arjun."
"Kiss?" He asked.
My eyes shot open. I didn't expect that. I bent closer and pecked his lips. Done!
He looked unconvinced. "You need to take kissing classes from me!"
I gaped embarrassed and he laughed. "Stop it. " I said rolling my eyes.
"You're so cute!"
"Thank you."
"And beautiful!"
This time I was shy, "Thank you."
"And gorgeous."
I grinned. "Thank you."
"And...sexy!" He whispered into my ears and closed his eyes not expecting a reply. He indeed now knew me well. I blushed turning slightly, struggling due to his hold. He eased his hands to let me. Once I settled his hand again fixed itself over my waist. Would I even get sleep tonight?
Hope you're enjoying.
The next part is almost ready! Let's see if I can finish that today.
-Anami!
