BREAKFAST CONVERSATION

Happy reading......

Mahir Sehgal busied himself in the kitchen, preparing breakfast with a sense of contentment. The aroma of fresh toast and scrambled eggs filled the air as he set the dining table. He glanced at the clock, ensuring everything was ready by the time Bela would join him.

Meanwhile, Bela Sharma had finished getting ready for her interview. She wore a professional yet elegant outfit, a crisp white blouse paired with a navy blue pencil skirt and matching heels. Her long black hair was neatly tied back in a simple bun, and she exuded confidence and poise.

After dressing up, Bela proceeded to the prayer room that Mahir had mentioned earlier, his mother was a firm believer so she set it up when she visited him last time. It was a small, serene space adorned with portraits of various deities. Bela felt a wave of comfort seeing this corner dedicated to prayer, a reminder of her roots and beliefs. She closed her eyes and offered a silent prayer for guidance and success in her interview.

Just then, Mahir appeared at the door of the prayer room, a tray of breakfast in his hands. His gaze fell upon Bela, who was deep in prayer, and he paused in surprise. He hadn't expected her to be someone who prayed regularly, and the sight touched him in an unexpected way.

He cleared his throat softly to announce his presence, not wanting to startle her.

"Bela," he called gently.

Bela opened her eyes, turning to see Mahir standing there with a warm smile on his face. She returned the smile, feeling a sense of gratitude for his understanding and respect for her beliefs.

"Breakfast is ready," Mahir said softly, gesturing towards the tray he held. "Whenever you're ready, let's eat."

Bela nodded, rising from her spot in the prayer room and following Mahir to the dining area. As they sat down together, the morning sunlight streamed through the windows, casting a warm glow over their meal.

"Thank you, Mahir," Bela said sincerely, picking up a piece of toast. "For everything. You've been so kind to me."

Mahir smiled warmly. "It's my pleasure, Bela. I'm glad I could help."

As they enjoyed their breakfast together, Mahir couldn't help but notice how different Bela looked now compared to just moments ago. She had transformed from the curious, playful girl he had seen in the morning to a poised and professional woman ready for her interview. Her outfit exuded confidence and elegance, and Mahir found himself admiring her transformation.

"You look amazing, Bela," Mahir complimented sincerely, his eyes lingering on her attire.

"That outfit suits you perfectly."

Bela smiled gratefully, a hint of nervousness still present in her expression.

"Thank you, Mahir. I'm a little nervous about the interview."

Mahir nodded understandingly. "You'll do great. Just be yourself," he reassured her with a warm smile.

"And don't worry about getting there. I can drop you off."

Bela hesitated for a moment, considering his offer.

"Oh, Mahir, you don't have to. I can manage," she replied politely.

Mahir shook his head gently. "Nonsense. It's no trouble at all. Besides, navigating Mumbai can be overwhelming, especially if you're new. Let me help."

Bela looked touched by his concern. "Thank you," she murmured, feeling a wave of gratitude towards him.

"I guess it would be helpful."

Mahir grinned, pleased that she had agreed.

"Great. Once you get more familiar with the city, you can manage on your own."

Curiosity sparked in Mahir's mind as he considered her upcoming interview.

"By the way, which company are you interviewing with?" he asked casually, taking a sip of his coffee.

Bela hesitated slightly, then replied confidently, "I applied to Metro Events. They're a big name in event management."

Mahir's eyes widened in surprise.

"Metro Events?" he repeated, a mix of astonishment and delight crossing his face.

"That's where I work, Bela. I'm the Manager there."

Bela couldn't believe the coincidence. "Really? What are the odds?" she exclaimed, her eyes widening in amazement.

Mahir chuckled, feeling a rush of excitement himself.

"Looks like fate brought us together, Bela."

After their breakfast conversation, Mahir got ready to drop Bela off at her office. He emerged from his room dressed casually in a t-shirt and jeans, his hair tousled and fluffy, exuding a relaxed charm that Bela couldn't help but admire. She kept her thoughts to herself, not wanting to reveal how she found him effortlessly handsome in every attire.

As they prepared to leave, Bela finished her coffee while Mahir grabbed his keys.

"Are you not going to work today?" she asked casually, savoring the last sip.

Mahir shook his head with a smile. "Nope, I'm on leave," he replied, leaning against the kitchen counter.

"My friends insisted on celebrating a big deal we closed for a marriage event. So, I have to stay home and get everything ready for tomorrow."

Bela looked surprised. "You have friends here in Mumbai?" she inquired, genuinely intrigued.

Mahir nodded. "Yeah, a crazy bunch of them," he chuckled.

"You'll meet them tomorrow. We're having the party right here at my place."

Bela's eyes widened in astonishment.

"Here? At your home?" she repeated, surprised by the news. She had never experienced large gatherings apart from being with her sister, so the idea caught her off guard.

Mahir noticed her hesitation and reassured her with a warm smile.

"Don't worry, Bela. They're good people, friendly and welcoming. You'll feel right at home, and I'll be with you the whole time."

Bela nodded slowly, a mix of nerves and curiosity swirling within her. She appreciated Mahir's efforts to make her feel comfortable in this new environment.

"Thank you, Mahir," she said sincerely, setting down her coffee cup. "I guess it could be fun."

Mahir grinned. "It will be. Just relax and enjoy yourself," he encouraged, patting her shoulder reassuringly.

After their conversation, Mahir was waiting for her to drop her. Outside, gleaming under the morning sunlight, stood his new sports bike, a vibrant red that caught Bela's eye immediately. She couldn't help but admire its stylish design.

"Is this yours?" she asked, impressed.

Mahir nodded proudly. "Yes, I bought it last month. Haven't had much chance to ride it," he said, patting the bike lovingly.

"You'll be the first to ride along with me today."

Bela felt a rush of excitement at the thought. She sensed something akin to a filmy scene playing out in her mind but dismissed it quickly, not wanting to appear foolish in front of Mahir. However, he had already noticed her fascination with the bike.

"I can teach you to ride it whenever you're ready," Mahir offered warmly, noticing her curiosity.

Bela smiled gratefully, feeling a surge of gratitude for his kindness.

"Thank you, Mahir. I'd like that," she replied, feeling her nerves settle as they prepared to embark on their journey to her office.

As Bela settled onto the back of Mahir's sleek red sports bike, she followed his instructions carefully, a mixture of excitement and nervousness swirling within her. Mahir assured her to sit comfortably and hold onto him if she felt unsure, emphasizing safety amidst the thrill of the ride. It was the first time she had ridden pillion with anyone other than her father, and the proximity to Mahir felt both unfamiliar and surprisingly comforting.

Hesitantly, Bela placed her hands around Mahir's waist, keeping a cautious distance as they set off. She couldn't help but notice his strong frame and the powerful engine purring beneath them, adding to the rush of sensations she felt. As Mahir glanced at her through the rearview mirror, he caught a glimpse of her apprehensive expression.

Without warning, Mahir revved the bike, causing it to roar to life and accelerate. The sudden burst of speed made Bela jump forward slightly, her front almost touching his back. She let out a small gasp, a mix of surprise and exhilaration.

"You're going to enjoy the ride, trust me," Mahir called out over the wind, his voice filled with excitement and reassurance.

Bela couldn't help but smile nervously, feeling the adrenaline course through her veins. As they navigated through the bustling streets of Mumbai, she gradually relaxed, surrendering to the thrill of the ride. The wind whipped through her hair, and the vibrant cityscape blurred past them in a flurry of colors and sounds.

Glancing at Mahir's profile, she admired his focused expression and the way he effortlessly maneuvered the bike through traffic. Despite her initial nerves, she found herself trusting his skill and relishing the adventure they shared together.

As they approached her office building, Mahir slowed down smoothly, bringing the bike to a halt with practiced ease. Bela dismounted carefully, her heart still racing from the exhilarating experience.

"Thank you, Mahir," she said sincerely, turning to face him with gratitude shining in her eyes.

"That was... amazing."

Mahir grinned, his eyes sparkling with satisfaction.

"I told you," he replied warmly. "Anytime you want to ride again, just let me know."

Bela nodded, feeling a newfound sense of adventure and appreciation for the moments they had shared. As she walked towards the entrance of her office, she glanced back at Mahir, watching him ride off with a growing sense of admiration and friendship blooming in her heart.

Just as she reached the doorway, Mahir turned back, stepping towards her with a gentle smile. His hand reached out, brushing a loose strand of hair behind her ear and fixing her hairstyle with a simple touch. Bela's heart skipped a beat at his tender gesture, her eyes meeting his with admiration.

"Good luck with your interview," Mahir said softly, his voice carrying a hint of encouragement.

Bela could only nod, her emotions swirling as she watched him mount his bike and ride away. She took a deep breath, feeling a rush of gratitude for Mahir's kindness and support. With determination in her step, she entered the office building, ready to face the day ahead, her thoughts lingering on the unexpected connection she had found with Mahir.
