Mayukh.. please baby.. wake up... see I will never fight with you, I will love you too.... it's too much now. wake up!! I held his palm as tightly as I could...!!! I was surprised at my own words.. 'baby'. Really??? But it felt so warm calling him so...

"ma..." a feeble voice came... we all jolted up..!!! "Mayu..." we three screamed together... yes..!!! My husband.. My Mayukh has regained his senses..!!! Mamoni hugged him tight and started wailing... baba came to me, "your husband is back.." he patted me...but now, this time I broke into tears....!!! till now I had controlled them.. but now the dam had overflowed... baba hugged me, and trust me it felt exactly like my own father hugging me when I was a kid and I used to be scared....

I composed myself a few minutes later and went to Mayukh... mamoni and baba were completing the formalities.. the doctor had announced they would release him in a hour. "mam... these are medicines... this one he needs to have before lunch. And that one after dinner..." the nurse continued giving me directions and I was noting them. She left after she was done. "Mrs. Roy.." the doctor came... "he will be injected steroids everyday for a week.. we will send the chemist at your house"... he confirmed..

Mayukh's office, hospital,  the residing flats everything were in the same campus..!! very large campus!!! to be specific, it was office hospital he was admitted in.. well.. perks of working for a big organisation you see..!!!

"Hiyu... what if I would be dead today???" he asked.. his eyes were blank... I sprang up!!! "dare you utter such shits further..." I held his shoulder tight..!!! I was raging!! How can he even think so non sense..!!! "so.. If anything would have happened to me... you would cry right???" he chipped again.. with this I lost the last thread of control on my temper... I slapped him..!!! yes.. you heard it right..!!! I actually had slapped him..!! how dare he!!!! "Hiya..." he winced... and the next moment he was in my arms... "peace..."he mumbled.!!!

I... actually we... we were busy feeling each other when we heard some soft coughs..!!! shit..!!! I almost forgot this was hospital..!! I tried getting up, but he held me tight.. shameless..!!! "ma.. please... two minutes..." his quipped... and my cheeks burned red...!!!

Mayukh was coming with baba in the ambulance.. where as I and Mamoni came to his flat walking...

A moderate 2bhk flat... small, but cosy..!!! the flat surprised me a little... the place didn't look like a bachelor's den... in fact, it was pretty organised... both the bedrooms had just had a double bed, two bean bags, side tables and cupboard... and yes in one room, it had a small television and a shelf full of books!!! I guess.. 21 inches!! The drawing-dining  too was very simple with a couch a tea table and a four-chairs dining table of Godrej... very simple and not at all costly but everything seemed so neat and tidy..!!! and the kitchen.. few utensils... the almost empty shelves with a few jars, a gas oven.. a cylinder.. that's it..!! so this was my dear husband's place..!!! everything was a contrast to the way he lived in our home... our bedroom..!!!

Baba came instructing the ward boys who were bringing Mayukh on the wheel chair..!!! a tear made its way seeing him like this. But I fought back, leaving for the kitchen..!!!
