Part-89
"Mm-mm." Randhir groaned in sleep, pulling Sanyukta closer to him who in fact was busy placing soft kisses on his face.
"Good morning." She greeted him with another kiss on his cheek.
"What time it is?" Randhir asked with his eyes still closed. He was enjoying having her in his arms and the kisses she was showering.
"Somewhat half past seven." She kissed his nose.
"Someone is being affectionate. What's going in that pretty little mind of yours, princess." He raised his brow opening his eyes to have look at his morning beauty. His. He can never get enough of that sound.
"You sure don't want to know what is going in that pretty little mind of mine." She kisses his jaw, her eyes zeroed to his.
She might have sound all bold and sexy with that statement of hers but only she knew exactly what she meant. Last night they did resolved their issue but the frown on his face while he was asleep was not something liked by Sanyukta. He has his problems to deal with and above that he was tired and sleepy as well when she decided to confront him with her own situations. So this just might be one of her tricks to make her husband smile. She don't like the frown on his face and will do anything under her capabilities to remove them.
"Try me." He whispered, his breath teasing her lips. So two can play this game, he mentally smirked as she shivered a little. "You might be lucky to have your wish granted."
"Don't complain me later that you were not warned." She licked his chin, her one hand rubbing his cheek while the other unbuttoning his shirt.
She without breaking their gaze make herself comfortable on top of him, his arms like a habit encircling her waist. Sucking his chin she pecked his lips.
Once, twice, thrice. Every time before he could capture her lips for a proper kiss, she would just step back teasing him more.
"One should never play a game.." He pushed her head capturing her lips in a toe curling kiss and before she could register Randhir flip her, pinning her down on the mattress. "which they can't win." He smirked breaking the kiss and moving down her neck earning a pleasurable moan from her.
----------------------------------
"Sanyukta are you going somewhere?" Renuka asked making Sanyukta halt in her steps. She was all ready to go office and have her answers which Randhir promise her to give. She was both excited and nervous for the same reason.
"Yes Mom." Sanyukta turned back. "Just going to the office."
"If you are not getting late can you drop me at Vidhushi's place?"
"Of course Mom." Sanyukta smiled. "Randhir can always wait."
"Is something important there? Is Vidhushi alright?" Sanyukta asked once they were settled in the car and she was ready to drive.
"Nothing to worry dear." Renuka smiled at Sanyukta's worried tone, telling her to relax.
"Just going to meet them and see everything is set for weekend." Renuka explained.
"Oh!" Sanyukta nodded. "Where are we going for weekend?"
"Nowhere far, just Parth father own a farmhouse in lonavla. Seems like good place to spend the weekend with family there."
"Sounds exciting." Sanyukta grinned genuinely.
In all this busy schedule a family get together will be perfect opportunity for a much needed break.
"Trust me, it will be exciting." Renuka mirrored Sanyukta's expression.
"Here we are Mom." Sanyukta informed halting the car in front of the desire destination.
"Thank you, dear."
"Sanyukta.." Renuka looked at her daughter-in-law before stepping out of the car.
"Yes Mom?"
"I know why you are going to office. I just wanna tell you trust Randhir and his decisions. His first priority is always your happiness." Renuka patted her cheeks.
"I know Mom." Sanyukta nodded.
-------------------------------------------
"Hey, is he inside?" Sanyukta inquired to Sahil who was working on his desk when Sanyukta approached him.
She could have directly went in but like the other day she don't want to intrude anymore important meeting of his.
"Hey." Sahil greeted her back with a wide smile. He was really fond of this woman. "Yes, he is inside."
"So is it okay for me to go inside or.." Sanyukta left the words hanging asking Sahil to complete it and enlighten her.
"Ha ha.. Don't worry, nobody else is inside. In fact he has almost a free day today." Sahil chuckled.
"Thank God! Other day was so embarrassing." Sanyukta shook her head remembering the incident.
"You should had listened to me when I was calling you. Should had saved yourself the embarrassment."
"I'm glad you are finding my situation funny." She mocked glared him.
"Go now. I think he is waiting for you only." Sanyukta gulped listening those words.
She don't know why the sudden words made her more nervous than already she was.
Everything will be all right.
She keep on reminding herself as she made her way for his cabin door.
-----------------------------------
Debating between knocking the door or just pushing casually for a minute or so Sanyukta finally settled with pushing the door and barging in like she always do.
Knocking will seem weird and moreover she don't want to act different than any other day.
Closing her eyes for few brief seconds, she took a deep breath to calm her nerves, her hand resting on the handle of the door.
"Hey." She pushed the door trying the fake grin but as soon as her gaze zeroed on him a genuine smile escaped the corner of her lips.
He was sitting on his chair, spinning the paper weight and a cute frown plastered oh his sexy face making him look sinisterly hot.
He looked up hearing her voice and the frown was instantly replaced with a loving smile.
"Hey yourself." He got up walking towards her direction pulling her in a hug. "You are late. I was waiting for you." He murmured, his face hidden in the crook of her neck.
"Sorry. Mom just asked me to drop her to Vidhushi's place."
"It's OK." He said breaking the hug but still keeping her close. "You sit, I'll just come in a minute and then we will talk." He kissed her forehead walking out of the door.
------------------------------------------
"Dad?" Randhir knocked on Harsh cabin door.
"Come in, son." Harsh called from the other side.
"Can I have the file?" Randhir asked coming directly to the point. There was no point to beat around the bush when Harsh already knows the matter.
Randhir had already discuss regarding his decision with Harsh few days ago. He could see Sanyukta increasing interest in business therefore he had talked to Harsh. And yesterday after his talk with Sanyukta he decision to put his plans in action.
"Here you go." Harsh handed him the file with a assured smile.
"Thank you dad for trusting me."
"I know whatever decisions make, you take after analyzing every aspects and I believe in both of you." Harsh put his hand on Randhir shoulder giving it a light squeeze. "But just remember be calm with her when explain things, listen to her point of view too, ask what she want and then only come to any conclusion."
-------------------------------------
"Sahil make sure nobody comes in until I ask you to send anybody in." Randhir ordered walking back to his cabin.
"Yes, sir. Just try to keep the volume low while you are busy doing things." Sahil smirked wriggling his brows suggestively.
Randhir dismissed Sahil's inappropriate comment. It could be dealt later, he thought. He has more important matters for the moment.
"Hey, everything okay?" Sanyukta asked.
"Yes, princess." He nodded taking a seat in front of her. "You comfortable there?"
"Yes."
"So let's talk." That sentence was enough for Sanyukta to rile up all her curiosity and anxiety regarding what's going through her husband mind. She thought when she will put forward her wish in front of him he will accept with open arms but the reactions which are coming from him are weird and unsettling.
"Tell me one thing Randhir do you want me to join this office or not?" She had enough of his uncertainty.
"Sanyukta it's not.."
"Yes or no." She interrupted.
"Yes." He sighed.
"Are you happy?" She asked another question.
"Yes."
"Are you really happy or just for sake of saying?"
"I'm really happy for you princess." He leaned forward cupping her face.
"Then why isn't your face saying so?" She pouted with a frown.
"It's nothing like that. It just that I wanted to surprise you with something on your birthday but you were too stubborn to wait for two days." He answered.
"What surprise?" He was planning a surprise for her birthday that was a surprise in itself. In fact she wasn't sure if anybody knew about it or not.
"Read this." He handed her the file which Harsh gave him.
Sanyukta curiously took the file from his hand. What surprise could he be talking about and what is in the file. Sanyukta thought.
"What is in this?" She asked. She has always been a curious person. She can't be blamed for the questions rising in her mind.
"Read it, you will get it."
"Okay." She shrugged opening the file and reading the content
"Randhir.. You want me.." Sanyukta shuttered looking up from the file after reading it.
"Yes." He simply answered with a huge grin on his face.
"I can't." She shook her head. The thought what Randhir want was too overwhelming.
"Yes you can Sanyukta."
"I can't Randhir. It's is too huge of a responsibility for a inexperienced person like me. I'm glad you thought I can be part of boards of directors and have share in company but I'm incapable and inexperience." She decline keeping back the file on the desk.
"Everyone is inexperienced at a certain point in life. If you will not experience it how will you become experience. And about your incapabilities I know how capable you are and the rest can be polished with time." Randhir explained with a shrug as if he will just snap his fingers and it's done.
"No Randhir.."
"Answer me Sanyukta." He interrupted. "Haven't you not been helping me recently."
"Yes, I was but those were just basic and small things. I'm not aware how to deal with bigger problems."
"Sanyukta here I'm offering you to be part of boards and you are giving me excuses. You wished to join office and I'm giving you the opportunity." He almost yelled in irritation.
"I know it is such a big opportunity." She sighed. She knew he was loosing his patience but she want to keep her point too. "But I don't feel worthy enough Randhir."
"What do mean Sanyukta? You are a educated woman."
"But not as highly educated. After completing my graduation I started the internship with Sameer's company. I thought from that internship I'll earn enough to do MBA by this not being a burden on my parents either. Getting married at 23 was never in my To Do list Randhir but see here I'm. Don't think I'm complaining or anything, getting hitched to you was one of the best thing." She wiped the traitorous tears that escaped her eyes. This stupid tears ducts. Can't they for once not make her look weak.
"So you are trying to say that if you would have had a MBA degree you would have accepted my proposal?"
"Maybe yes." She whispered.
"Then it is decided.." He rubbed her jaw nervously. "You will get a MBA degree in two years."
"But.."
"No ifs and buts Sanyukta.. I'm trying hard to make things easy. Just listen go me. Okay?" He asked.
"What about the babies Randhir?" She spoke quickly before he can cut her.
"Are you..?"
"No." She quickly denied.
"So?"
"I'm not now but the other day we had the talk about the babies and you said you will love to have a baby and I don't want all this MBA mess and all to come in between my pregnancy."
"Sanyukta you want a baby now?"
"I.."
"Tell me honestly?"
"No." She whispered.
"But you?"
"The other day when we talked about the baby I thought you want one. Yes, I would love to have babies with you in future but I for now I just want you. You are 23 almost 24 and I'm just 26. We have whole life ahead for everything. Do what you want to do at the moment and pregnancy in early age can be harmful too."
"You don't want baby now?"
"No. All I want is you to take up a MBA course and while doing MBA you will work in this company for experience too. Okay?"
"Is it an order?"
"No."
"Good, because I don't take orders." She said in between her sobs."
"I love you Sanyukta." He said wiping her tears and pulling her in a hug.
"I love you too."
-----------------------------------
"Pick up the damn phone Randhir.." Sanyukta clenched her jaw as Randhir phone went unanswered for nth time.
Currently she was sitting in the living room with some random movie playing on the TV, her one hand devouring the ice cream and the other busy calling Randhir from past few hours.
Being alone was not something that Sanyukta look forward too especially when ditched by her husband. Yesterday when Renuka narrated the plan for the weekend, Randhir straightforward decline the offer saying he has something important to do therefore Sanyukta and he will reach the other day.
Everyone left for the Lonavla in the morning, leaving Randhir and Sanyukta alone who will join them sometime in afternoon tomorrow. Randhir too left the house soon after others repeating his old excuse that he has something important to do.
Sanyukta looked at time. It was almost seven in the evening and since morning there was sign of him or any news of him. That infuriating man was not picking up her calls either.
She can understand that he may have some sudden work to attend. That was not a problem. The problem was if he was going to be out of the house entire day leaving her alone to sulk, it would had been better if she would have gone with others.
The sudden knock on the door broke Sanyukta's chain of thoughts, cursing incoherent words to him she got up see the unexpected visitor.
"Yes?" She asked the man who was standing on the doorstep with huge rectangular box in his hand.
"This is for you." He forwarded the box
"I'm sorry, I guess you are on wrong address we haven't ordered anything so huge. It must be somebody else's." She declined pushing the box back.
"You are Sanyukta Shekhawat?"
"Yes."
"Then I'm on right address. This for you." He handed the box with a warm smile.
Closing the door Sanyukta kept the box on the table, intrigued by what could be inside it and most importantly who could be the sender.
For a moment Sanyukta thought to call Randhir and ask him if he has any idea but then decided against it. She would first see herself what is in the box and than if she would something inappropriate she will call him and tell him, only if he pick up her call.
Patiently, or rather impatiently Sanyukta open the box to find a beautiful dress.
The dress was gorgeous. That was the only thing Sanyukta could think about. Her gaze fixed on the dress as she studied the details.
It was a full length ball gown with a sweetheart shape neckline. The upper part was skin hugging while bottom flowed like skirt. It was in the shade between pink and purple with shades of light black. The left breast of the gown was covered with with stone with reached up to the waist area. Whole gown was sparkled with glitters giving it a princess look.
After Sanyukta was done admiring the dress, she noticed three notes places inside the box.
'Be ready by eleven,
Princess, your ride will be waiting.'
The first card read.
Princess. That name did sound some bell.
'Save me a dance,
Wait scratch that,
Your every dance gonna be mine.'
The second card read.
She know the writing to well and third card itself made everything clear.
'To his beauty,
From her beast.
Happy birthday <3
I love you.'
It read.
After reading the final card everything clicked to her. All this was his plan. He was planning a surprise for her that's why he cancelled their trip with the rest.
This man never fails to startle her. Every time she thinks that pervious surprise was his best and there can't be anything better than that, he comes up with something more better making her all speechless every damn time.
-------------------------------------
It was ten minutes to 11 when Sanyukta was already. She took the shower, did her make up and her hair too. She kept the make up minimal just to go with the dress and she had put her hair in a messy bun with strands falling on her face.
She looked out of the window to find Randhir car already waiting on the driveway but there was no sign of Randhir.
Looking at her reflection in the mirror for the last time, she walked out of the door when feel satisfied that she look perfect for her prince charming.
------------------------------------
After forty-five minutes drive, the car finally came to its stop. Before Sanyukta could open the door the driver was already on her side, opening the door for her.
Princess was here still there is no sign of prince charming. She thought.
"Ma'am, Mr Shekhawat asked me to drop you here. He asked me to tell you to just walk straight through the door inside the place. He will be waiting."
"Okay, thank you." She nodded making her way inside.
This place was not in downtown of the city but little bit outer making it surrounding greener and fresher.
The place looked quite old giving it a look of fairytale palace
-----------------------------------------
The room was dark. Pitch black to be precise. There was no source of light making it difficult for Sanyukta to see anything.
"Happy birthday, love." She felt a arm around her waist from behind a chin rested on her shoulder. Instantly she knew who it was.
"Randhir.." She breathed as her mind was still busy registering everything.
"Yes." He whispered in her ear kissing her cheek.
Soon the light flooded the room making Sanyukta easy to see Randhir.
"Thank you." She turned wrapping her arms around her neck and kissing his lips.
"Anything for you." He shrugged kissing her fully on the mouth.
After breaking the kiss Sanyukta looked around the room still being in his arms. Room was decorated beautifully with balloons, lights and candles making it a replica of Disney movie ballroom.
"It's beautiful."
"Well thank you. After all I did it." He smirked.
"Shall we cut the cake now?" He asked.
"Lead the way." She smiled.
"Happy birthday." He once again wished her pulling her in a hug after she was done with the cake cutting.
"What we will be doing now?" She asked hugging him back.
"May be we could dance a bit, have a dinner, have marathon of your favourite Disney movies starting with the beauty and the beast and then go to bed but if you want to do something else I'm up for it or we could just skip all this and directly go to my favorite part 'to the bed'." He whispered huskily the last part.
"The offer looks inviting." She licked her lips. "But may I have a dance please?" She asked forwarding her hand and bowing a little.
"Sure you may." He chuckled pulling her to the dance floor.
Song You and I echoed the room and both Randhir and Sanyukta matched their step with the tune.
"You know there was no need of all this a simple happy birthday would have been enough." She said.
"I know that would had been enough but I don't want to give just enough to you I want to give more than enough to you." He said pulling her closer.
"Did you really liked all this?" He asked after a second.
"Without a doubt."
"Than it was worth the effort. I was planning to give you that share thing news as you birthday surprise first but you were too stubborn to wait for two days."
"This is much better."
"Wine or champagne?" Randhir asked with a hint of amusement in his tone as they sat for the dinner.
"None." She rolled her eyes getting his amusing tone. He was teasing her she knew it without a doubt.
After her little incident at the bar the hangover in the morning was really bad. Sanyukta was in pain but Randhir did found her situation amusing. He never left a moment not to tease her or embarrass her about the other night and had his good time telling her about her drunken state. The mockery was never ending. From then she decided she was never going to drink again.
"It's okay. These are not highly alcoholic toxic it taken in correct amount and by chance if they did make you feel dizzy, I'll be there for you." He leaned kissing her forehead.
"Red wine then." She grinned.
"Thank you Randhir." Sanyukta said it once again after dinner was done.
"You told me already. Now enough of with your thank you."
"This thank you is not just for this.." She gestured her surrounding. "but it is for all the time you were with even when I was hard to deal with. Thank you for not giving up on us. I know we had talked about this earlier but I just felt like thanking you again." She said
"Truly speaking I should be the one thanking you for everything you did to me. If you were hard to deal with I was even harder. You changed me Sanyukta just like beauty changed the beast. Thank you for believing in us. Your love made me a better man Sanyukta." He kissed her knuckles.
Who said happy endings are just fairytale thing. Everybody can have their happy ending and a fairytale. You just need to make it happen. Not every time princess need saving some time prince need saving too.
