Part-84

"Shail do you know how to make a cappuccino coffee?" Randhir asked pressing the elevator button.
"Sorry Sir I don't know." He simply replied.

"So what do you know?" Randhir frustratingly ran his fingers through his hair.
"Sorry sir but I wasn't informed that I should have knowledge about how to make a perfect cup of coffee apart from the knowledge about the position I'm applying for." Shail chuckled. He should be afraid seeing his boss this worried and anxious but Randhir antics were making Shail amused.

He was not fully aware about the matter which made Randhir leave the meeting in between but he was sure it has something to do with Sanyukta only. A small smirk appear on his lips thinking how this woman keep his boss on toes all the time.

"Oh! Shut up. You are sounding just like her, sarcastic and mean." He growled entering the elevator and Shail too followed him. "And stop saying sorry, it's irritating. It reminds me I have to apologize to her." He murmured the last line to himself.

Pressing the ground floor button Randhir tapped his foot thinking who else can help him in this moment of crisis.

Vidhushi. That was the first name which crossed his mind. He took out his phone and scrolled her name through his contact list when he remember that he can't call her. She must be busy with Parth and he can't disturb them with his problem.

Kaustuki? Nah! He don't want to be teased by his younger sister. That will be extremely embarrassing for an elder brother.

Mom? Again a big no. First of all he had to explain her everything and without a second thought she will take side of her daughter-in-law. He was in no mood of receiving any scoldings from her.

Then who else can help him at this very moment. Think Randhir think. He banged his fist on the wall.

Shail arched his brows at his boss action with a coy smile on his lips.

"Stop giving me those glances." Randhir glared him.
"Then stop acting like a caveman." Shail rolled his eyes.

"You can't talk to your boss like this." He snapped.
"I was talking to my friend." Shail shrugged.

"Thank you for giving  me a reason that why I should never befriend a employee again."
"Now mistake had already been done. You can keep this in mind for the next time." Shail laughed. "All the best till then."

"Why don't you feel offended. I had been extremely mean to you at times." Randhir wondered walking out of the elevator.
"Because I had been trained that boss is always right and in order to keep your job you had to tolerate everything that boss says no matter how offensive it is at times."

"Impressive." Randhir said.
"Plus a friend doesn't leave another friend just because he said something unacceptable when his mood was foul." Shail said making Randhir speechless for the moment.

"So where are we going?"
"Canteen." Randhir answered his mind still searching for a help.

"You want to make coffee for her?"
"Yes." He nodded. "But I don't know how to make a cappuccino." He sighed.

"Ask somebody." Shail suggested.
"I can't. It's embarrassing."

"Mm.. Then YouTube it." Shail winked.
"That is a great idea." Randhir grinned. "Why haven't I thought of it earlier. You are not even that bad as a friend." Randhir patted his shoulder.

---------------------

"Sir do you need something. You could have called me or anyone of us." The man  who was in charge of the canteen said as soon as he saw Randhir entering. The employees present there were already looking at Randhir through bewildered expression.
"It's OK." Randhir nodded looking around the kitchen.

"How can I help you sir?"
"If you really wanna help me then just keep your mouth shut and provide me with things I'm asking."

The man nodded without a thought whereas Shail shook his head. This man was impossible, he thought. Ways to ask for help.

"Give me everything required to make a perfect cup of cappuccino." He asked vaguely without specifically asking them by name.
"Sir, I can make that for you." He protested.
"Just do what I'm saying."
"Sorry." He said giving Randhir everything required to make a cup of cappuccino.

"Now you and everybody.." Randhir pointed to the handful of staffs standing in kitchen. "Leave until I ask you all to come. Shail you will wait." He don't want to risk his reputation in front of his employees.

Shail snickered at Randhir commanding tone earning a death glare from him.

"Sorry." He mouthed crossing his arms and putting his finger on his lips to prevent another laugh escaping his mouth.

"Okay now," Randhir nervously rubbed his palm and took out his phone to seek help from his last resort. YouTube. "I hope this works."

After series of continuous replay of video and some soothing words from Shail, finally Randhir was done with the cappuccino.

"Does it look like a heart?" Randhir narrowed his brows at his own creation of heart made up of cream.
"Let me see." Shail said examining the shape. "Of course it look likes a heart. Your heart, not perfect but full of love." He winked.
"Cheesy." Randhir laughed making Shail simply shrug.

"Done?" He asked. "We should not make Mr Singh wait for any longer."
"Just a second. Give me that sticky note." Randhir said.
"I don't know what you are planning but here you go." Shail said giving the note.

"You don't need to know either." Randhir said scribbling something on that note and pasting it on the cup and putting it in a tray with  few chocolate chips cookies by the side.

"Randhir smile." Shail said pointing the camera towards him and before Randhir could protest Shail had already captured the scene.

"Mm.. I asked you too smile but this frown isn't looking bad either." Smiled grinned looking at the photo

"What the hell are you doing." He growled.
"This was once in a blue moon view now when will I get to see it again so just thought to capture it."
"So thoughtful." Randhir replied sarcastically.
"I know." He chuckled.

"If your are done with my photoshoot go and give this to Sanyukta. She must be in my cabin." Randhir said forwarding the tray towards Shail direction.
"Why don't you go and give it yourself?"

"Because if I'll go I won't be able to attend the meeting." He sighed.
"Oh!" Shail smirked taking the tray.

"It's not what you are thinking." Randhir rolled his eyes. "If I'll go to pacify her it will take me more time than required plus I don't want to be the victim of her wrath. Let this cookies and coffee do its work then I'll see her." He explained.
"As you say sir." Shail said in a sing song way before making his way towards Randhir's cabin.

--------------------------

"Your boss is not here. Go." Sanyukta shrieked in annoyance on hearing the knock on the office door.

"It's me Shail. I know Randhir is not here because he only asked me to see you." He said.
"Oh! Such a coward he is, couldn't apologize himself so he send you."

"I agree." He chuckled. "Now may I come in?" He asked again.
"Yes please."

"Will you mind opening the door for me.. Actually my hands are engaged."
"Sure."

"So what sweet words he had filled in your mouth to pacify my swollen mood." Sanyukta asked opening the door.
"Actually sweet coffee with some additional sweet cookies are your bribe to see smile on your face."

"I don't want anything. Go tell him it's not that easy to woo me." She said. She want him not some stupid yet delicious coffee.
"He made this coffee so at least try it."  He insisted. "Look at this if you still not believe me." He said showing her the photo he clicked few minutes ago.

A small smile escaped her lips seeing him making coffee for her reminding how he made that mouth watering pasta for her in Goa but soon she composed herself.

"I will have it but go and tell your boss that his mission is still not accomplished successfully." Shail nodded.

"Sanyukta.." He said before walking out of the room. "I'm no one to speak and you know him better than I do but all I can say is even you know that his mind work irrationally sometimes making him do things he regret moments later."
"Hmm." She nodded.

After Shail was gone Sanyukta kept the tray on the table and a goofy smile appeared on her lips seeing not so perfect heart on the coffee. But what interested her more was note pasted on the coffee mug.

A sorry note. She presume.

'Te Amo' It read.

This man know how to make his woman go weak on her knees. She smiled taking a sip of the heaven filled in a cup.

---------------------------

Randhir phone beeped with a message while he was in between the meeting. Thinking it be of no importance he ignored it but within seconds his phone again beeped with a message.

He took out his phone to see two messages from Sanyukta.

Princess-  you are in no position to ignore my message *frown*

He chuckled reading her second message before going to the first one.

Princess- me te amo <3

He smiled reading her first message.

Sanyukta was munching her cookies when her phone beeped with a message. She blushed knowing whose message it could be.

Saddu <3- so am I forgiven?

Princess- not yet but now I can think of forgiving you.

"The deal is confirmed from my side Mr Singh now if you please pardon me I need to go." Randhir walked out of the room his mind still lingering on his princess last message.

---------------------------

Randhir slowly entered his cabin to witness Sanyukta standing near the window, the slow evening wind messing up with her hair in most beautiful way possible and the setting sun enhancing her beauty in most prominent way.

"I love you." He whispered wrapping his arms from behind and kissing her neck.
"Teach me how to drive a car." She replied placing her hand on his.

"What are you saying princess?" He asked in confusion.
"You want me to forgive you, right?" She asked turning towards him and wrapping her arms around his neck

"Yes, but what condition is this?"
"Teach me how to drive a car or allow me take cabs." She said her voice full of determination.

"How these two things are linked?"
"Like today if I would had known how to drive a car or you would have allowed me to take cab all this drama would not had happened. Moreover I want to be independent. I don't want to dependent on you, Vidhushi or somebody else for a ride. If I want to meet you all I want to do is take out the car, drive to you and hug you instead of asking you to pick me up. Today you got late for your meeting because of me, Vidhushi had to drop me here first then she went to prepare for her surprise. I don't like it."

"Sh!" He put his finger on her lips. "OK I'll teach you how to drive not because you are a burden for any of us but because you want to."

"I love you too." She said engulfing him in a hug.
"Finally you replied or else I thought you were never going to say it." He kissed the top of her head.

"I'm sorry too." She murmured against his chest. "I should have informed you before landing up here. I could I forget you have tons of works to do. Next time I'll keep that in mind."
"I should be the one saying sorry." He sighed resting his chin on top of her head. "The way I talked to you in the car and lobby was not at all acceptable.

"You know I'm not angry about the car ride thing." She looked up at him breaking the hug. "It's alright if you were angry but the way you behaved in the lobby was very disrespectful Randhir. You don't know how embarrassing it was to get those sorry glances from your employees."

"I know, love. I'm really sorry." He kissed her forehead.
"This meeting wasn't important and you acted like a maniac I wonder how you would have acted if this meeting was important."

"This wasn't important for the company but it was important for me as an individual."
"I don't understand." She frowned.

"It is related to business leave it you will not understand."
"Then make me understand Randhir." She cupped his face. She wanted to be part of this business world she wanted to add but this story is for another time. Regularly coming to this place has woken up her desire to work again and she will talk to him about this soon.

"It is a long story princess."
"And I have all time in the world."

"So you are not going drop the topic."
"Nope. I need to know what is bothering you." He knew she was not going to give up so he dragged her to his desk and made her sit comfortably on it whereas he stood between Ber kegs with both his hands on either side of the desk.

"Dad think that both Parth and I deserve fair chance to compete for the CEO position" Randhir started the story gaining Sanyukta's full attention. "I have no problem in this. In fact I thing the same because he has equal contributions in the company like me. We have that fair competition between us. The productive one you see. I don't mind if the position goes to him but their is no harm either if I become the CEO. I already wasn't able to crack a deal in the morning and not able to crack two deals in a row could have harmed my chances."

"I have never asked about this but where are Parth parents?" Sanyukta asked curiosity taking the best of her.
"It's nothing like you think. They are alive and healthy. They live in London. Even uncle has share in the company he is just not much active in business."
"Oh!"

"So the deal is cracked?" She asked changing the topic.
"I don't know." He shrugged.
"What do you mean you don't know."

"I left the meeting in between. How can I concentrate in a meeting when my wife is angry."
"That is a lame excuse."

"I don't care. For once I want my personal priorities above the professional ones."
"What will dad say of all this Randhir. Coming here was a bad idea. I should have know."
"You know what dad would have done the same if it would had been mom in place of you." He kissed her nose and hugged her.
