Chapter {17}
"Is she an agent ! Napak log aur khatarnak irade" A small television beamed at a tea stall.
"Where do you think she is !" Ginny spoke out sipping the tea.
"Let's see" Manpreet hummed.
"Are you worried about her safety?" Ginny spoke.
"This isn't the place to be in" Manpreet pressed his lips.
A cold hand held his warm palm in assurance.
A glare fell on the intertwined fingers and Ginny retreated," uhmm...sorry just happened, I wanted to assure you ".
"It's okay" Manpreet spoke.
"Where did your daughter go?" Naheed's friend and neighbor Yasmin asked .
"To Jahanum, don't repeat her name again " Naheed responded tearfully.

" Jannat it is " Ginny looked at the landscape.
"Which is burning" Manpreet sighed .
"It's people and not the place dude" Ginny added.
"People are dying too" Manpreet spoke.
"They die everywhere" Ginny shrugged.
"Die like that in ash ,smoke ,fire and pierced flesh" Manpreet spoke out furiously.
"Don't change topics, Mahi is the main reason that we are here" Ginny replied.
"Any clues ?" Manpreet asked.
"Nope, no one identified her" Ginny answered.
"What if she got killed ?" Manpreet spoke out with heavy throat.
"Shut up, Don't say nonsense " Ginny scolded.
" Band karo band karo (Close shop) " A few people came screaming and the crowd followed.
"What's that! Terrible terriost shit" Ginny cried in terror.
"What happened?" Manpreet inquired the tea seller.
"Roz ka hain( daily it happens) they want money from me" the tea seller sighed.
"What money?" Manpreet asked.
"I borrowed money for my daughter's wedding" The tea seller closed his tiny shop.
"How much?" Manpreet asked.
"Sahib ji rehne dein" the tea seller spoke.
"Tell...I want to help tea tasted awesome and I don't have a 10 ruppee change" Manpreet spoke leaving tea seller spellbound.
"20 thousand" the tea seller spoke hesitantly .
"Hmm...20 k tea Manpreet, you never gave a 500 bug coffee to me" Ginny laughed.
" I am tea lover " Manpreet smiled .
"Mahi lover too" Ginny winked.
"She is an agent sent across the borders ,
How can expect a woman overnight become a hindu and a big Patriot of India" the tv small TV continued.
"Isn't crazy we months ago it was about the religion stereotypes and crime now it is about a suspicious woman who isn't suspected cause she is a woman with 4 kids and has converted" Ginny sipped another cup of tea.
"We live in a crazy world where religion is blamed for politics" Manpreet sighed.
"Why did you both fell for each other ?" Ginny added.
"It was something different, we both never saw us with a different religion. Our lover wasn't about whom we worshiped ,it was how much our hearts got connected" Manpreet spoke out.
"How will we find her?" Ginny wondered .
"Just like that " Manpreet pointed to the T.V.
"No way!" Ginny laughed .

"Don't think someone will immediately find her" Ginny spoke drafting a Facebook post.
"What an optimistic advice" Manpreet spoke out with sarcasm.
"I mean it's just not practical, every other day internet is shut here" Ginny reasoned.
"If sun does not shine in the mountains for days that never it would appear in the skies again" Mahira replied.

"Where is my daughter?" Shamshed asked Naheed.
"You forgot to take medicine ,you never had a daughter" Naheed spoke.
"Shut up! I had her ,she was tiny and in pink hue born. I still remember the way she clutched my finger when I took her in my arms" Shamshed remembered a flash of past making his arms curl as if he holded a new born.
"No! We had a still born and after that we never had a girl" Naheed responded.
"Stop making me insane with this tablets ,where is my daughter?" Shamshed wept.
"Yes there is daughter... a delusional daughter in your head" Naheed shouted.
"She looked just like a flower ,her smile was radiant unlike you who is heartless" Shamshed stood up.
"Flowers are not only found in gardens , they are also found in mud . I threw her in one of them. She didn't deserve this garden" Naheed spoke.
"What was her fault?" Shamshed questioned .
"She got her hands into the dirt , crossed boundaries and loved a Sikh boy" Naheed finally revealed.
"A Sikh?" Shamshed crashed in one of the chair .

"Someone in the valley says they found a girl looking like her" Ginny spoke out happily.
Manpreet and Ginny reached the said location.
A tattered house with a rust lock on its gate .
Manpreet broke it with stone and entered inside .
A girl laid on the floor ,her clothes in dirt and blood. Hands tied behind neck and feet too clasped in ropes.
"Who is She?" Mahira asked.
"Maybe it's some woman abducted. Abducting woman is common in this particular area" Manpreet spoke looking for a water bottle in his back pack.
"No! It's Mahi!" Ginny wailed leaving a thunderstruck Manpreet.
