Chapter 12
Armaan OOTD:
Armaan's POV:
After getting ready for my office, I walked down to the hall. Antara Oberoi was sitting in the living with my mother. Wishing morning to them I attended Yash's call, and he informed me about Rajkund's presence in my office. I accepted his visit for the afternoon, Mom gestured for me to see the wedding card of Esha and Kartik. I knew about their wedding as it was going all viral. Oberois were on good terms with my father so Antara's presence was expected.
Antara requested looking at me "Armaan... it would be great if you will attend the wedding with your whole family. I know you stay busy and don't get much time for yourself but it would be a perfect occasion to refresh old relations." She said that because I wasn't much involved with them in business after Kartik take over the business. That doesn't mean I don't like them it's just we never get along much. "Sure, I will see... as Mom suggested earlier to meet my relatives in Udaipur so it could be possible, I will attend." She nods understandingly. Touching my mother's feet, I took my leave as I was getting late for the office.
Till afternoon meetings were aligned and I barely got a break from work. After lunch, I finalized the contracts and forwarded them to Yash for the rest of the process. "Sir we have Mr. Rajkund Mehra in the waiting room..." the receptionist informed, "Yes let him in...".
Rajkund entered my office and wished me rubbing my forehead I gestured for him to sit. After listening to Aadesh bhai I gave it a thought and consulted with a few business advisors. They said the same thing that this relationship will be profitable, but Ishita would stand against me. "I pleaded with you to let me know if you are saying no to the marriage proposal then why did you tell her?" he looked at me in confusion. "To know your real intentions" I sit back comfortably.
He snaps his brow, "Then why did you ask for a background check my companies..." I sent my men to do it. "I said didn't say no to your daughter and saying yes to your marriage proposal... but on few terms and conditions" he raises his brows "What terms?". "You will be selling me your real estate, greenhouse, and textile manufacturing companies with proper documentation signing the Sales Agreement and majority stakes of them as well including pharma. You're the founder of the pharmaceutical so you can introduce new shares and dilute your daughter's high stakes in the company rest I can handle. In return for all this I will take care of your daughter and marry her..." he sighed with a smile of satisfaction.
He gathered himself and agreed with me, "I agree with everything but there is a slight problem as between this time I gave the greenhouse company to Esha but don't worry she's a sweet girl and would sell it back to me whenever I will ask but not till her marriage as I gave her the company just a few weeks back in her Roka Ceremony..." I nodded, as my priority is his real estate and pharma. "Now go prepare for the marriage as you have two marriages aligned one after another... and yeah don't forget to get army protection for yourself as your daughter will kill you the moment, she gets to know about this all...".
He smiled awkwardly and asked, "I will do that but... how will you announce your marriage with Ishita and when because I don't want it to affect Esha's marriage." With a smirk I knew what he was trying to say, he was afraid to get it out of his chest so wanted me to handle Ishita's outburst. "I said I will handle it... now get out I have better things to do till then keep your mouth shut and not let your daughter smell it."
Ishita's POV:
One month later in Udaipur, Rajasthan.
At Esha's Roka Ceremony Dad gifted her the greenhouse companies paper signed by him. After that we left Mumbai and came here to Udaipur and shifted to our relative's house except me, I chose to live in a hotel because I can't live between so many fake people it suffocates me. Mom got herself busy in wedding rituals and most of them thankfully didn't include me.
Today is her big day, she was so nervous that most of the time she needed me around her, and today I was feeling anxious. Like I wanted to spend more time with her my little sister will leave our house and would have another family. It was her wedding but I wanted to cry as she's the glow of our house and without her, it will be dark.
At first, I didn't feel it but now as the day came close it was eating me inside. Mom pats my shoulder as Esha stood in front of me in her wedding dress. Esha glimpsed at me, "If you want to cry then let me go to the other room as I'm not going to cry...." She smiled and tried to hide her sob but her red glossy eyes let her tears fall. We hugged each other and cried, "Shh... I will be one call away..." I rubbed her back. Esha hugged mom and she spoke the same lines every mother says, give respect to them as you do to your family, try to adjust and adapt to the new environment blah blah blah.
I just told Esha one thing, "Whenever you feel like you can come back home it will always be your first home no one has the right to stop you. Remember I've got your back if you ever feel you're being wronged by anything. Don't be too much adjustable like mom... no offense..." Mom scoffs, "Offense taken..." I shrugged my shoulders.
Esha giggled and hugged us again, her makeup artist adjusted her look as makeup was waterproof and sweatproof so it wasn't much ruined after our crying session. I checked my outfit and redo my makeup leaving my hair in a curled bun when Rajkund knocked on the door informing me about Barat's (Boy's) arrival. He hugged Esha and said some soothing words that nobody cares about.
I cornered my mom and asked, "Mom... Do you know anything about Sana or her husband? Have you seen them because I haven't seen them in any of Esha's ceremonies?". Mom glimpsed at Esha who was taking pictures with some of her friends and the photographer was taking his solo pictures. "Don't tell Esha about it... she was also asking about her. Sana divorced her husband last year that's why she broke all contact with us. She has a daughter, and her husband's family use to torture her by asking for more money besides her dowry. When she gave birth to a daughter, they threw her out of the house and asked for two cores to accept the child born." My blood chilled she didn't tell me why, she was my favorite cousin's sister because the rest of them are stereotypical bimbos.
"What... but why she didn't come it's Esha's wedding she should be here?" Mom pats my shoulder. "She will be... her mother told me as other relatives would have made fun of her that's why she wasn't present at any function. But she knew no one will say anything in your presence so she agreed to be present at the wedding venue. Now let's go or we will be late." Picking up the phone we raced out towards our car. Esha was still busy getting her solo shots, Mom called her out, "Oh heroine... Shaadi bhi Karni hai... Sirf photo nhi kichvani hai...". (Translation: Oh heroine.... Have to get married too... not only to click pictures...) Esha rolled her eyes, "okay Mumma but app log bhi toh aao Ek group photo chahiye...". (Translation: okMumma but we want a group photo..." Mom pulled her arm, "Pehle Chalke dulha le aae fir photo keechna Zindagi bhar baeth ke" (Translation: First let's go and bring the groom, then sit for the rest of your life to take photos.)
