In Your Debt

“In your debt?” Mace repeated. “What do you mean?”
“Since you saved me and helped restore the wildlife, I owe you. I will do anything and everything for you, including vore.”
Mace screeched. “No vore! No vore!”
“I don't know, you seem like you're into vore. And according to legends, only those who possess a certain power can free what's in the deep.”

Mace began to question how she came to the conclusion of him liking vore, but the legends intrigued him more. “Legends? What are these legends— and do they include vore?”

“Well, you see,” began Purple. “This place is not on earth— Well, it is, but it's not. It's another dimension; a different reality. You can tell, because it's very purple, like me, but your world is rumored to be green and blue, or maybe pink and yellow. But that's besides the point; many people come here, sometimes by accident, or on purpose with a mission: to free me.”

Mace looked around. There was nothing but overgrown trees, tall grass, unique animals, and some sea girl in some aesthetically pleasing world. “How do I get out of here? I have places to run, frogs to steal, people to disappoint, and I don't have time to save some weird different reality land.”

“You don't want to help us?” Mace shook his head no, and Purple let out a sigh. “Go the way you came.” Mace thanked her, turned around, and began his journey back.

Purple let out another breath; he didn't go the way he came. “Wow, gays have no sense in direction, but they sure know how to walk fast.” She turned around and watched the sun glisten on the water. She didn't remember much, but she could recall what was wired into her brain. Legends, a purpose: she was told fate was on her side but she didn't know where the path led. She pulled the orange fish from her hair gently and spoke to it. “Is this all just a joke? Was I built into this stimulation to be someone's laugh?”

“Uh, Purple?” She was interrupted by Mace standing behind her.
“Yes, Mace?”
“I think the portal is gone.”

Purple choked on her laughter. “You went the wrong way, frog boi.”

“No, I took a shortcut. The path I took to get here made this huge circle and it's such a waste of time. And— Did you just call me frog Boi?” Mace questioned.

“Yeah. Frog Boi. And are you sure? I mean— I wouldn't know any better since I've been in the water for, I don't know, let's say a couple hundred years? ” She let out a nervous chuckle.

“A couple hundred years? How are you alive? What's down there? Do you remember anything?”

“I don't, sorta. I know I have a purpose and I'm within the legends, but all I know is my name, that I'm meant to accomplish something, and the basics, like animals.”

“What about the land?” asked Mace. “Do you remember anything else? Like certain paths or a town?”

“Well,” thought Purple. “We could listen to my instincts.”

“Your intuition is the best we got. We'll have to use it to get somewhere. I don't think my scattered brain will get us anywhere.” Mace sighed and hoped Purple wouldn't cause any trouble.
