Hello pt.1
All will be revealed in time.
Mark's P.O.V
Letting out a quick sigh of relief I let my back slide down the wall before my body hit the pavement. Shaking in slight fear I take a quick look at my surroundings. Tall trees were scattered in random places, oak, the only trees you could really find in this place. They stood taller than a skyscraper it seemed, maybe because I was just so small compared to them. Miniature houses were placed between the every two trees along with the one I had pressed myself against. They were all made of stone, making them overly noticeable in the excessively green forest, but that was what they were meant to do. In fact they were built for the soul purpose of just being there, waiting for a stranger to walk into one of them, only to find they couldn't get out. Because in those houses was nothing but death to await them. It was all a trap placed by the bandits, also known as the lowest of lows here in the kingdom.
The bandits were known for their love of traps and stealing things people held precious, along with murder every now and then. Their leader was one who seemed unstoppable, and they liked it that way. If someone was to cross the bandits they were as good as gone and every person, from the king to the slaves knew it,"Come out come out wherever you are, Mark." I was lucky enough to be the one who had crossed them.
My mother and younger sister had been in danger, the bandits had decided to call their annual 'rage'. The rage was one that gave them a right to go into peasants or commoners homes and do whatever they pleased except for murder. But even that rule had a loop-hole, the king made them sign a contract that said under watch of anyone they are not allowed the right to kill people, but the contract didn't say anything about killing with no one there to witness, or if the witnesses are killed. Tonight was the night they decided my neighborhood would be their next target.
I shiver as I recalled the sounds they made while banging on my houses door, the screams my mom and sister made as they were beaten and the blood they lost when they were killed. Seeing it fit I had taken two lives for two lives, and now four bodies lay dead in my past home. My justice was not the justice of the bandits it seemed, because now I was officially a target for them, and no matter how it went I would be killed eventually.
Tears fell down my face in fear which I quickly wiped away, I wasn't going to live my last moments in fear, and I sure as hell wasn't going to just let them take my life without fighting for it. Shaking my head I nodded to myself, glad my little pep talk helped,"Mark....." I sucked in my breath, not daring to breathe knowing that they were as close as close could be. The voice could be heard from the other side of the house I was using to hide.
Gulping I slammed my hand over my mouth in dread, thinking of the best escape route. Maybe I could knock them out, well I don't know how many there are, god you're so stupid sometimes Mark,"Got you!" The whisper hit my ears and I jumped before quickly opening my surprisingly closed eyes only to see a scary looking male towering over me. I squeaked out of fright,"P-please." The man scoffed in response, his hand raising slightly before slapping my cheek with a loud smack. Continuing my weak act I pretended to shiver and hold my cheek in pain,"Wh-what are y-you gonna do to m-me?" The man smiled,"Oh don't worry I'm only here to kill you."
Letting out a loud battle cry I kneed the man in the no-no square, causing him to bend down with his hands grasping at his wounded area. I took advantage of the situation by bringing my knee back up to meet with his inflamed face that was looking at the ground. Adrenaline was rushing through me as I ran away from the male and bolted towards the trees, which gave no coverage being so spread apart. Only seconds later the sound of heavy footsteps invaded my ears, I didn't dare look back, one thing books had taught me was that looking back only slowed you down and I wasn't about to doubt my favorite authors.
"Get back here you little bitch!" I yelped when a hand came in contact with my ankle, before I could even blink I was face first on the ground with a very short and different looking boy hovering over me. He had blonde hair that suited him in a weird way and a buff figure, pretty intimidating. In his hand was a nice looking knife, it was very shiny,"Jackson what are you doing here? Didn't you hear bosses orders? No killing!" The boy above me, Jackson, stopped with a scowl on his face, his eyes never leaching mine as he talked to the person behind us,"Stay out of it Junior!" The person, Junior, let out a fairly loud huff,"How can I not when I was sent to make sure the target stays alive, because God knows that you need some supervision." Jackson chuckled darkly while raising his knife, I let out a scared whimper,"Jackson!" The said man slammed the knife down and I closed my eyes waiting for the impact, which never came. Opening them again I saw that Jackson had made it so the knife just barely skimmed my ear and landed on the ground beside my head,"I don't need supervision from anyone, especially you." With that he got off me,"Besides, what's the fun in not scaring him a little. He did kinda kill the second in command and our best fighter." I tried to sit up only to have a foot push me back down ruffly,"That just makes him even more valuable."
Having enough of this pointless arguing I decided to say something,"Come on kids let's not fight over me, there's enough to go around." I chuckled when the Jackson guy put his hand around my neck,"What did you say?" He snarled like an animal, making me giggle,"Getting possessive eh?" Jackson soon looked confused, his dark eyebrows nearly touching,"You've lost your mind man." He whispered making me frown,"Not at all." I smiled before kicking his chest with all my power, making the man fly off of me, I quickly stood up and dusted myself off,"Well wasn't that eventful, had lots of fun can I go home now?" The now already familiar voice of Junior answered me,"Sure, after we take you to see our boss of course."
Frowning again I took my time to really look at the guy in front of me, for the last five minutes he was just a voice so I really had a right to check him out. The boy had jet black hair which complimented his pale skin and dark brown looking eyes. His ears were bigger then I would have imagined making him look adorable and harmless, but the smirk placed on his slightly pink lips made it known that he wasn't so harmless after all.
"Uh, yeah sounds good." My confidence slowly drained out and I had no idea why I was so scared around him, his presence just gave off the don't-mess-with-me vibe. His eyebrows raised slightly at my sudden agreement,"Really now?" Looking anywhere but him I nodded,"Well then let's get going, come on Jackson I'm sure Bam is gonna love to hear all about how you almost killed the target again." Almost immediately Jackson got to his feet and ran over to Junior, his eyes already watering,"Oh please Junior don't tell Bambam! He won't talk to me for weeks!!" Junior smirked in response, that guy had smirking disease,"That's not my problem."

After what felt like hours and hours of walking we finally stopped in front of a normal looking house. So this is the bandits hideout huh? It was massive compared to the house of commoners that I was used to seeing and I could only guess we weren't in that part of the kingdom. I came to a halt as the other two men continued on till they were standing in front of the dark brown door that was placed on the wider side of the house. Juniors head tilted to the side, out of some type of instinct maybe, but it scared the crap out of me,"You coming Mark?" Letting out a quiet sigh I run to catch up with them.
All three of us stood in front of a normal looking door, for most likely five minutes straight, just as I was about to say something Jackson's hand stretched out and knocked on the door four times, then paused, knocked two more times, paused, and knocked five more times before putting his hand back at his side. Movement from inside the house could be heard along with the sound of multiple locks being turned and unlocked. My eyes widened slightly when a young looking boy opened the door, he couldn't be older then twenty but was unfortunately taller than me with reddish hair and pale skin much like Junior's. He had big lips and a well shaped face that made me slightly jealous, his eyes matched perfectly but I could tell he wasn't from around here,"Jackson!" The boy squealed and launched himself into Jackson's arms,"Bam!" Jackson squealed just as loud. So this is Bambam?
Feeling very awkward I moved from foot to foot waiting for them to stop being lovey-dovey. Are they together? What am I talking about of course they are. A hand waved in front of my face making me jump, a small giggle made me turn to see Junior smiling at me. Leaning his body towards me he started to whisper,"Don't mind them Jackson is about to get his ass kicked anyways." There was a mischievous look in his eye that I didn't know if I liked.
"Hey Bambam?" Junior called making the said boy turn away from the scared looking Jackson,"Yes?" He asked slowly, probably already predicting what was about to happen,"You'll never believe what Jackson did on the hunt." Hunt? The word made me question what exactly they were planning on doing to me, if I was hunted didn't that mean I would be killed? Snapping myself back into reality I must have missed something because now Bambam and Jackson weren't hugging and a very angry looking Bambam was pointing his finger in a very scared looking Jacksons face,"No sleeping next to me for a month and don't expect to be talked to for the rest of the week! We talked about this!"
Jackson frowned and quickly took Bambams hand before dragging him into the house, most likely to talk to him about his punishment. Feeling a tap on my shoulder I turned to see Junior looking at me with an expressionless face,"Hey, it's time to meet the boss."
I'm doomed.
