You got outside and began walking side by side with Mark. There was occasional chatting about random stuff, until you arrived at the ice cream parlor. You guys both ordered then you pulled out your money.

"Nah I got it." Mark said

"Mark no." you said

"Yes! I'm not letting you pay."

"Maaaaaaark." you whined

He ignored your complaint and handed money for both your ice creams to the guy who took your order. You both thanked him and then headed back to your house.

"You don't have to pay for me all the time. I do have a job." You said licking your ice cream.

"I know, it's not cause I think you don't have money, it's cause I wanna be nice."

You sighed and rolled your eyes at his niceness.
"Hey don't roll your eyes at me. Im being nice." he said playfully shoving your shoulder.

"Don't shove me!" You said shoving him back. He stumbled forward and his ice cream fell out of his hands. He looked down at his ice cream then at you.

"You are so dead." He said. Then you bolted past him to your back yard.

"I AM GOING TO KILLOU!" He shouted racing after you.

"YOU'LL HAVE TO CATCH ME FIRST!" You screamed through giggles as you sprinted into your yard.

Mark ran up behind you trying to shove you but you dodged him and stood behind a tree.

"Missed me missed me, now you gotta kiss me!" You chanted like a child.

"You wish." Mark said from the other side of the tree."

"DO NOT!"

"DO TOO!"

Then he began chasing you again and you stumbled to the ground. He's now sitting on top of you and takes your ice cream.
"Mark give it back!" You shout. He just sits there and licks it. Finally you bumped it causing it to go all over his face. He looked at you mouth wide open.
"HA!" You said and then rolled over to you were now on top of him.

"I hate you." He said

"Nuh uh you looooooove me." You said kissing his temple. He laid there with a pouty look.

"You have ice cream on your nose." you said.

"Well get rid of it. It's your fault it's there." Mark said sharply.

"Marky? You aren't really mad are you?" You asked softly.

"No sweetie." He said his face softening.

"In that case...." You leaned down and licked a spot of ice cream off of his nose then a spot on his cheek.

He sat up so you were straddling him. He was looking deep in your eyes.
The next thing you knew his soft lips were on yours.
You pulled away for air, biting your lip and looking down.
"You had a little around your lips too..." You said quietly. He chuckled lightly and kissed you again.

The screen door slid open,
"Mark, (Y/n), dinner's- oh." Your mom sat in shock for a second.
You pulled away abruptly.

"Oh uh okay, Mom." You stood up off of Mark's lap and outstretched a hand to Mark helping him off the ground.
You guys walked back to the house in silence.

Once you got inside Mark spoke,
"Uh actually Mrs. (Y/Ln) I have to get home... Mom wants me to eat dinner with her tonight."

"Okay. I'll see you later, Honey." Your Mom said sweetly with a tone of confusion in her voice.

You walked towards the door with him. Then you stood there in silence, then he leaned down and planted a sweet kiss on your lips.

"I'll see you tomorrow." He said with a smile and then left.

You sighed and sauntered into the kitchen and sat down on a stool.

"Is there something you wanna explain to me?" Your mother asked.

"What?" You asked snapping out of your daze.
