You were running. Running as fast as you could. You looked behind you. He was still chasing you. You picked up your pace as you lungs stung from their loss of air. You felt hands grip your waist and you screamed.

"You thought you could get away from me, b****?" He said as he turned you around.

"I'm sorry, Mark. Please don't hurt me again!" You said to your boyfriend.

He smacked you on your face. Your face stung and you gasped at the pain.

"You will never leave me again, understand?!"

"Y-Yes, I'm so sorry, Mark. Please don't hit me!"

He gripped your waist and shook you vigorously as you cried.

You sat up. Your face beaded with sweat as you panted. You looked over to see your boyfriend asleep.

"I have to leave before he hurts me again!"  You thought as your mind was still foggy and you couldn't tell dreams from reality.

You hurried out from underneath the covers. This woke up Mark.

"(Y/N)? What are you doing up?" He asked as he rubbed his tired eyes.

"Get away from me!" You yelled as you tried to hurry out the door.

Mark got up and grabbed your waist. You kicked and screamed at him.

"What are you doing, (Y/N)? It's me, Mark, your boyfriend!"

"Don't touch me!" You yelled as you pushed him away.

He let you go as you demanded. You were cornered, and began to freak out. He walked slowly towards you, trying to calm you down.

"Please don't hurt me. I won't ever leave again, I swear. Just please, don't hit me!"

"I would never hurt you, babe! I love you!" Mark said as he wrapped his arms around you.

You tried to fight his grip, but soon gave up. He rocked you back and forth, whispering sweet things in your ear. It finally hit you that it was all a dream.

"Oh, I'm so sorry, Mark! It was all a nightmare. I thought it was real when I woke up. I'm so sorry," You said between sobs.

"Shh, it's okay, babe. I love you so much. Let's try to go back to sleep, okay?"

You nodded and the two of you climbed into bed. You crawled into his arms and laid your head on his chest.

"(Y/N), just know that I would never, ever hurt you."

"I know, Mark. I love you."

"I love you two, angel."
