Dumbledoors great great granddaughter. That's my title.
Not y/n.
Not just a y/h.
But the girl who's great great grandpa basically owned Hogwarts.
My life was no where near easy, but it was comfortable.
My life had no adventure whatsoever. Until a boy. A pureblood, bleach blonde, scared shell of a boy named Draco Malfoy.
I walked into knockturn alley to sell an artifact that my mom didn't want anymore. She said it would sell for a fortune in knockturn alley.
I walked into the store and waited for someone to show up. I looked around with my shiny e/c eyes and peeped at all the other knickknacks.
Footsteps shuffled across the wood floor and I looked to see a man, waiting for my service.
"I'd like to sell something."
"What is it?"
I pulled the gem out of my pocket and held it up.
"May I touch it?"
"If you give it back when I want it back."
"I promise."
"Good." I flicked out my wand "because you're promising with your life."
He inspected it as I held my wand around his head.
"Well. It is worth something." He hummed.
"How much?" I asked.
"Couldn't say."
I pressed the wand toward his head.
"I said... how much?"
"10 galleons."
"Oh. Well I've got a better seller somewhere else." I lied.
"I'll give you 15." He pressed.
"Twenty and I'll give it to you." I bargained
"Deal."
"Give me the money."
He handed over the money and I counted it as I held the wand in place.
"Thank you for the business." I smiled.
"M-my pleasure."
Just because I was dumbledoors relative, doesn't mean I have to be a pushover. I know how to make money. I didn't just become a trust fund baby.
I put the money in my pocket and headed out the door.
I walked over to see two bleach blonde males who I presumed to be father and son.
"Draco! Don't touch anything!"
"Yes father."
Wow. That man is a dick.
I walked past them and snapped my fingers. I looked down and saw the end of the mans cloak colored pink. I chuckled and walked out.
Serves him right.
I walked out of knockturn alley and sat on a bench in diagon alley.
I brushed off my shoes and took in the buzz of the beginning of the school year.
I had been pretty street smart for a while. Becoming a teenager made it worse though.
I can hold my own in a fight and I can definitely do things for myself.
That man and his kid -who I think was named Draco- walked by and his dad didn't seem happy.
"I must find out who insulted me like this at once!" He scowled.
I leaned over to see his father walking in a fit of fury.
I laughed and walked to the train station to get to Hogwarts.
I sat down and waited until the compartment opened.
"Hey. This is our cart. Get lost."
"How about you, Malfoy?" I snarked back.
"How do you know who I am?"
"It's hard to not know who you are based on your loud, obnoxious, insolent, and tiresome attitude."
I crossed my arms and he glared at me.
"Fine. You can stay here. But that's because you're actually cool. Standing up like that. Takes guts."
"Oh joy. Nice to know I have the approval of prince daddy's boy." I mocked as I sarcastically bowed.
I threw myself back down into the seat and crossed my legs.
I sighed and occupied myself with anything other then Draco and his goons.
"So, what's your name?" His voice rang.
"Y/n. Y/n Dumbledore."
"You're joking. You're the headmasters great granddaughter?"
"It's great great granddaughter actually. And if you must know. Yes, I am."
"Well you certainly don't act like it." One of his goons shot.
Draco elbowed him in the side and shut him up.
"Don't listen to him. He doesn't know what he's talking about."
I scoffed a laugh and looked back down at the coins I had collected.
"Wait a minute. You're that girl from knockturn alley." He spoke.
I slowly clapped and looked at him.
"Congrats! You did it! You figured it out!"
"Wait till my father finds out about this!"
"And you'll do what? Tell him? And how would he ever... ever... be able to punish a poor old great great granddaughter of the Albus Dumbledore? For his heirs are of the upmost poise and lawful character." I recited what my mother used to say to me.
"You're good at this." Draco smirked.
"What can I say? I'm a talent."
Draco scoffed and the train stopped.
We got off and I went to the y/h common room.
After a while I went to the library to study.
I sat down and felt a presence appear next to me.
I looked over and see Draco raising his eyebrows at me.
"And your presence is required...why?" I asked
"Because I want us to be friends. You're cool and I think you'd make a great asset to my group."
I set my quill down in disgust and I looked at him.
"Okay first of all. I'm not a little piece in your little game. Second, I'm not going to be just another thug in your group. Unlike you, I have the biggest reputation to uphold so no. And last but not least, you could just approach me like a normal human being and ask me normal questions."
He was left shocked in his place.
"I'll be a part of your little group, but don't come crawling to me when you screw everything up."
I walked away from him and went back to my room where I really decided if I wanted to do this.
Of course I do.
