Using love pt 3

Mentions of the crucible! If you don't know anything about it, don't worry, doesn't really have anything to do with the storyline itself! Just go along with it!
~~~~~~~
I went home with a really confused brain. Did I like him or was I just desperate to receive any attention as a crush? I slept on it that night with a lot of mixed feelings.
The week had rolled by and I seemed to forget about Draco. Obviously, he would be brought back into my mind from time to time but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be! I'd seen him a couple of times this week so it was confirmed that it wasn't just in my mind. He was real. And really cute. I had also contemplated talking to him about three times but all attempts were nothing short of a conversation in my mind. God why do I have to be such a loser?
Lunch on Friday was a turn around for me though. I sat at my table, all alone because my bff just had to get sick, and ate while I read a couple pages of a book. I felt a presence in front of me and I looked up to see Draco.
"Hi Draco." I greeted politely.
"Hey, mind if I sit with you?"
"Uh, sure! Go ahead."
Draco sat down next to me and I continued to read my book but something about his presence irked me.
"Can i help you?" I asked as I looked up to see him staring at me.
"Could you help me with one of my classes later?"
"Uh, sure. What time?"
"Like 4:30."
"Sure, just meet me in the library then."
"Cool. So what are you reading?"
"Uh, the crucible, it's for English."
"Interesting, can I read too?" Draco leaned a little closer with me arm on the table. His snake necklace dangled down and gently stroked the open books pages.
"U-Um s-sure."
Draco scooted in and his shoulder brushed up against mine. The hair on the back of my neck stood as now I was more aware of his touch than the text in front of me.
I felt Draco lean closer and back away a couple of times. He subtly touched my hand when he pointed for an explanation in the book. For a second, I looked at Draco in his eyes. Closer than I ever have before. He started to trail his fingers to my hand and he lightly drifted his fingertips along the back of my hand to my wrist.
"You know, I'm a lot more interesting than some book."
"Sorry Draco, I have to finish this chapter."
"No you don't."
He leaned in closer, almost pulling me in between his open legs. His arm rested on the table, almost trapping me,
"Come on princess. Let's play a little."
I looked at his lips which were getting closer to mine. I wanted to kiss him so bad. So bad but I knew it wasn't right. Before I could make a decision for myself, the bell rang. Literally saved by the bell!
"Sorry Draco. I gotta go to class! I'll see you later today."
"Yeah definitely! See you then."
I was dreading that moment, when I'd have to see him again after school. After that incident. I couldn't even look him in the face, let alone have a full conversation with him and act like we didn't just share the most awkward moment of my life with him.
Later that day, as I sat in seventh hour watching the seconds go by, I started to grow a pit of dread in my stomach. Was it dread from embarrassment, or was it nervousness to see him again? It was definitely clear in my mind that I liked him. But I can't tell if I was nervous to see him because I was scared we'd talk about what had happened in class earlier or if it was because I was nervous to even start a conversation with him. There were so many different paths to choose to decide which emotion fit the empty but tingling void in my abdomen.
Come on princess.
My face blushed as I remembered the becoming tone of his seductive and elusive voice. The way that even the raspiness of the "on" in his voice made my body start to shiver. The way the elongated vowels reached out with its deceivingly attractive hands to pull me in. He was attractive, he was inviting, but I knew, I knew that it was just a game, he didn't like me. He really didn't. He just wanted a toy.
The bell rang and the black hole in my stomach was now twice as big, swallowing up my insides and choking me. As I made my way to the library where I'd promise I'd meet him for some after school help, my legs started to tremble and my hands started to grow sweaty.
"Hey." Draco greeted shortly as he saw me come nearer to him.
"Hi." I just as bluntly replied while I say myself down next to him.
"So, I need help with English and Math."
"Okay, let's start with English and move on from there."
"No no no, you're going about it the wrong way. You have to take a look at the perspective of Abigail and the girls."
"But why?"
"So you understand why they kept it a secret from the reverend."
"But I already know, it's because they didn't want to die from being witches."
"No... that's wrong as well."
"How?" He looked at the book with a confused and slightly upset look on his face. His eyebrows knitted together tightly and his breath was now heavy with frustration. Soon that creased, narrow, angry look flattened out and settled into realization. Almost like with the calming of his emotions, the wave like wrinkles in his skin calmed. "I get it! I get it! Abigail and the girls would have been severely punished and put to death if they didn't say anything because it would be assumed that they were witches. But when they knew that the reverend would be upset and possibly lose his job, they kept it a secret. But sooner or later, they confessed knowing the lesser punishment would come with confession. Clearing their name of being witches, but also telling they did dabble in witchcraft by Titubas hand."
"Yes! Perfect!"
"It makes so much sense now!"
"It should! That means you're getting better at this! Wanna read the second act?"
"Absolutely not!" He groaned and looked at me with shock.
"Why not?"
"Because... it seems like so much work!"
"Come on! It's not that hard! Now that you understand it, the second act will go by faster."
He looked at me with a decisive face and then sighed.
"No, I don't want to." He crossed his arms and shook his head.
"Draco! Please! Just finish it!" I rolled my eyes and threw my hands up in frustration. "What if I... give you a reward if you finish it?"
"A reward?" He perked up after the words fell out of my mouth.
"Yeah, like a rewarding system. Get a certain amount done and you get a reward. Sometimes that makes it easier for people to do work they don't want to do."
"Okay. I'll do it, BUT I get to pick the reward!"
"Really? Bargaining?" I stared at him with an eyebrow raised.
"Yep, that's my conditions, I have to pick the reward." He held his hand out for me to shake it. I looked at his hand, then into his eyes, then back down to his hand. I finally gave in and shoved my hand to his.
"Fine, if it gets you to finish your damn homework."
