Dracos POV
After the battle, mom decided to put me under cover. She decided to move me to London to prevent my magic from being traced.
She set me up with a muggle family that she knew and she sent me off.
On the train ride there I pulled my wand out of my waist band and rubbed my fingertips over it.
I wasnt supposed to have it because I was supposed to be cutting myself off of magic but I just couldn't bare to leave it.
The train whistled and came to a stop. I looked out to see it was my stop already.
I got up and took down my suit case. I straightened out my black suit and walked off the train to find the family I was staying with.
There was a mom and daughter holding a sign with my name on it.
I walked over and greeted them.
"Ah you must be Draco Malfoy. I'm great friends with your mother!"
"She's said a lot about you." I reply.
"All good things hopefully!"
"Of course."
"Wonderful! Y/n! Take his suitcase would you? Let's be nice to our guest."
The girl, a little younger than I, was staring at a glowing piece of metal and rolled her eyes.
She shoved the device in her pocket and grabbed the suitcase.
"Holy cow what's in here? Rocks?!" She huffed.
I stifled a chuckle and walked behind Mrs. L/n.
The girl put the suitcase in the back of the... car I think it's called and got into the back seats with me.
"Y/n? Is it?"
She looked up at me and I finally saw her face. She was actually quite beautiful.
"Yes." She replied shortly and went back to her glowing thing.
"What's that?" I pointed to the strange block in her hand.
"This is a phone. Do you guys not have phones in magic land?"
I shook my head and leaned over.
"What can you do on phones?"
"Play games, call people, text, listen to music, FaceTime, write, take pictures, anything really."
"What's texting?"
"It's like virtual instant letters."
"Cool! And what's calling?"
"It's where you can talk to people like you would face to face be you can be really far away and all you can do is hear them."
"Then how do you see their faces?"
"That's what FaceTime is for."
"What's that?"
"It's basically virtual Face to face talking."
"Weird but interesting. Show me some games."
She showed me games called flappy bird and Minecraft which blew my mind.
First POV
"And you get all of this on a tiny thin little thing like this?" He asked astounded.
"Yeah." I laughed. I never thought of how wild a phone was until now.
"We are here kids!" My mom cheered. She parked the car and we got Draco settled in his room.
"Feel free to make it your own. You may be here for a while." My mom told Draco.
"Thank you ma'am."
"Of course sweetheart."
My mom left the room and closed the door behind her.
I ran my fingers along the dresser and started a conversation.
"So can you do magic?"
"Yes I can. I shouldn't though."
"Why not? It's a gift! I'd kill to be able to do magic."
"I shouldn't because the people who are after me could track my magic. They could find me and kill me. So I shouldn't."
That stumped me.
"So does everyone have like a different magic stamp? Like fingerprints?"
"Kinda yeah."
"So... what if I did magic?"
"It doesn't work like that. You have to be born being able to do magic."
"Well how do you know I can't?"
"I guess that's fair."
Draco handed me a wand.
"Woah. This is so cool. A real wand."
"You're amused by the wrong things."
"What do you mean?" I asked holding the wand close to my chest.
"You have a thin piece of plastic that can talk to anyone in the world, has unlimited games, can send as many letters as you want, can order food, can order cars to pick you up and yet your concerned about a stick?"
"A stick that can magically grow things, make things fly, use the four elements, use it as a flashlight, and basically anything else. A phone is nothing!"
He laughed at my amusement and nodded.
"Okay, lets see if you have the ability."
"Point the wand at that necklace over there, the one with the broken chain and say clearly 'repairo'."
"Repairo."
The chain lifted in the air and fixed itself and neatly placed itself back on the dresser.
"Woah!" I squealed.
Draco flinched and covered his ears.
"I guess you're magical."
"Cool! What else can I do?"
"Try to turn this into a light. Hold it upright and say lumos."
"Lumos."
The wand exploded a bright white light which blinded us.
"Woah, too bright." Draco groaned.
"Nox!" I shouted and turned it off.
"How did you know that?"
"They are all Latin rooted right? Well nox means dark or night so I just tried it."
"Good guess then. I think we should be don't with the magic for today."
"Probably." I have him the wand back and he put it in the bottom drawer.
"Wanna go watch Tv?"
"What's TV?"
"Right... no technology. You have a lot to learn."
