I was never one for school. Hated the work, the people, the musty old smell of books. Never liked it at all. But I'm forced to sit here for 7 years of my life, and not retain anything given to me.... ever....
I can't tell you how many times I've been yelled at for drawing, whistling, not turning in work, etc. and it was always the man himself... Severus snape. Can't say I've ever liked him either. If I had to choose between school and him, I think I'd throw him off a cliff first!
Always was stuck up and never let anyone slack off, ever. I can't say I've ever seen him smile on the five years I've been attending this school... forcefully.
I sat in class humming to myself as we worked. I waved my wand around, making a sheet of paper fly in circles.
"L/n!" Snape yells into the silence, not only breaking it, but shattering it into a million pieces.
I sighed, rolled my eyes and pulled my feet off of the desk.
"Yes?" I ask slumping back and folding my arms.
"How many times have I told you to get to your work and at least try and act like you have a brain." He said monotonously. That voice made me want to stab my ears out.
"342, and counting sir." I said checking my invisible watch.
"Now, how about You take the effort you put in to not doing your work, to do your work."
I scoffed and put my feet back on the desk and continued to send the paper through the air.
"Come on y/n. Just do as your told!" I heard from beside me.
"Draco, if I cared in the slightest what he thinks, I wouldn't do this. But I don't care about what he thinks, so... no." I laughed and he rolled his eyes and went back to writing with his overly fluffed quill.
"Ya know. Maybe you should come to a party with me. It's tonight." I leaned over to him. He just shook his head as he clenched his jaw.
I sighed heavily and leaned back into the backrest of my chair.
Snape soon slammed his hands on his desk and walked over to me.
He spoke to me lowly and growled "well this is the last straw, you clearly seem to think you know everything if you do not want to do your work. So help me Salazar, if you do not look down and start reading at page one I'm going to put you in detention for the rest of the year."
"Oh? So you think I don't know anything?"
"Well do you?"
I lifted four different objects from the opposite corners of the room and brought them to me, I lifted one the highest and then descending to show my differential placement of more the one object at the same time. I put them all back one at a time and stood up to bow.
"Thank you." I snapped to Snape in sarcasm.
"Well..." He was at a loss for words as I proved him wrong.
"That's what I thought."
I sat back down and Snape went to his desk.
Draco's eyes were wide.
"This... this is exactly why you are my best friend." He laughed and chucked a pencil at me.
I laughed back and walked out of class after we were dismissed.
