Tails: Hyakkimaru, the Half-Demon Ronin from Dororo.

Luigi: And Gabimaru, the Hollow Shinobi of Iwagakure from Hell's Paradise.

Tails: We have seen perfect examples of how tragedy could change a person for the better or for worse.

Luigi: But in the cases of these two tragedy struck since they day they were born which mold them into dark and edgy slayers who will destroy anyone who dare crosses them. He's Tails and I'm Luigi.

Tails: And it's our job to analyze their weapons armor and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle.

Hyakkimaru

Tails: Sengoku Period is an era of all out war where rival warlords in fought bitterly for control of Japan which became one of the most violent periods in Japanese history and it became known as the Warring States Period.

Luigi: You could probably imagine what that era is like as we have dozens of samurai terrorizing enemies on the battlefield and are willing to do what ever it takes to win the day and one of the best examples is Kagemitsu Daigo. It's people like him who make you realize that Madara Uchiha was right.

Tails: Kagemitsu was a ruthless tyrant who will do anything for power going through lands slaughtering innocent people and stealing their goods and riches all for himself.

Luigi: And if you think that it's enough well you couldn't be more wrong as it's never enough for people like him as to obtain more power he decided to turn to 48 demons.

Tails: This came at a very cost as the demons took away the piece of the body of his unborn son making completely unrecognizable. Showing no remorse for the horror he caused on his son Kagemitsu decided to just... throw him away.

Luigi: Talk about a piece of shit of a father that he is.

Tails: Fortunately the child survived and was found by an old man who gave him the name Hyakkimaru.

Tails: Turns out if Hyakkimaru slays a demon he regains parts of his original body making him more and more human, with this knowledge he set out on a journey to regain his body by slaying the 48 demons.

Dude could probably slice up a pizza if he wanted too.

Tails: And despite being blind, Hyakkimaru actually has incredible senses being able to tell from humans and demons and the more demons he kills the more new abilities he learns.

Luigi: like demonic strength, speed, and durability he also has a healing factor as he could reattach limbs he regained.

Tails: Plus many more and thanks to his agile to give him create.

Luigi: Yeah the punkass dad really made a huge mistake making an enemy out of him.

Tails: Hyakkimaru's prosthetic body parts also come with unique gadgets like a grenade, caustic water, and a green plum poison. With all these abilities he went on a journey alongside a girl named Dororo.

Luigi: Now that's just bizarre. But hey if bizarre is what it takes to win then so be it, the guy's battle all kinds of demons and managed to hurt them in the most extreme ways, like a giant turtle, a shark, and even a freaking ghost!

Tails: He's survived multiple strikes like an explosion, fire breath, and even lightning.

Luigi: And speaking of lightning while Hyakkimaru isn't really as fast but considering he has fought a demon who can use lightning I think the high end speed could be potential lightning level of speed.

Tails: He's also fought demons who could destroy entire buildings and given that he's also soloed entire armies almost single handily it's possible he's even stronger.

Luigi: With all these abilities and incredible feats he's getting even stronger the more demons he kills and the stronger he gets and the more body parts he regains.

Tails: He's also defeated several samurai from his own family like his brother Tahomaru and his father Kagemitsu.

Luigi: The epic final battle we've all been waiting for and after reuniting with his long lost mother, Hyakkimaru finally regained his human body.

Tails: Though tragically his family would ultimately end up dying much to Hyakkimaru in end felt sympathy for them.

Luigi: He may have had his downsides but in the end Hyakkimaru regained his humanity can finally live the life he wanted.

Hyakkimaru: The path I choose to take does not lead that way. I'm human you're human as well. Live on and do not become a demon.

Gabimaru

Tails: Iwagakure, the Village Hidden in the Stones is ons of the most powerful villages in all of Japan during the Edo Period filled with corrupt politicians and land of ninja.

Luigi: Remember Naruto with the whole thing of kids training in academies to become ninja assassins and learn ninja magic? Yeah it's basically that.

Tails: Except it's much darker than that as the village's Chief is a cruel and ruthless leader obsessed with power and immorality taking children away from their families and brainwashing them into becoming the heartless killing machines.

Luigi: And nobody could even become as close as heartless as Gabimaru the Hollow.

Tails: But before he was Gabimaru, he was just a simple baby named Tsuki after his birth his parents planed to leave the village to live a normal life.

Luigi: Too bad the Chief caught on to their plans and proceeds to execute them on the spot and take their infant child and place him through some gruesome ninja training.

Tails: And with this training and a new named Gabimaru was forced to have several missions spreading terror across the country and bringing fear into the hearts of many for years until he met the Chief's daughter Yui

Luigi: Yui taught her the values of love, compassion, and humanity and the two fell in love and eventually got married.

Tails: After some time together Gabimaru decided to abandon the life as a shinobi in exchange for a normal life alongside his wife, so he requested the Chief for permission. The Chief agreed as long as he did one last mission.

Luigi: You're probably thinking: "Aww he had a change of heart what a nice guy." Except he was not. The Chief set Gabimaru up and stabbed his ass in the back and was arrested by the authorities.

Tails: Having lost the will to live Gabimaru gladly accepted his execution until he was given an offer by his executioner from the Yamada clan a second chance to see his wife again, the mission was that Gabimaru is supposed to go to the mystical island believed to be Shinsenkyō and retrieve the legendary Elixir of Life to be pardoned for his crimes.

Luigi: Yeah too bad the island is all Hell filled with monsters, demonic creatures, and even immortal humanoid demons known as the Tensen. But luckily for Gabimaru he had the tools needed to survive the day. The dude can take hits that would normally kill a human being, you can try an decapitate him, burn him alive, or even rip him apart I guarantee you that you'll fail trying to kill this guy.

Tails: As a ninja he's an incredible martial artist and is a master of different kinds of Jutsu or ninja techniques.

Tails: Actually it's not chakra it's Tao a form of life force energy that exists in every living and non-living beings that people can use and weaponize like Fire, Water, Air, Earth, Metal, Wood-

Luigi: Heart!

Planeteers: Go, Planet!

Tails: No, no, Yin and Yang.

Luigi: Goddamnit.

Tails: Gabimaru's primary element is fire which he can use to weaponize as projectiles, fire breathing, cover his body for deadlier attacks, and create explosions.

Luigi: Way later on he gained another form of Tao. Man the guys really staking these like a prime sub on YouTube.

Tails: This Flower Tao gives Gabimaru so busted abilities some like healing injuries and even regeneration.

Luigi: Regeneration such has stuff from having half your body being destroyed, being split in half, decapitation, reattach limbs, pretty much every situation where a normal person would get fucked up and would not survive unless they have a broken healing factor. Only way to counter this is if someone has a way to over tax it.

Tails: And Gabimaru can combine his normal Tao and Flower Tao making him even more stronger than before.

Luigi: Too bad the downside of using Tao is you lose your memories.

Tails: As the say goes with great power comes great consequences. If one uses Tao too much they would suffer severely.

Tails: He's also comparable to other Tao uses who could destroy massive chunks of the land and even create shockwaves.

Luigi: He's soloed entire armies without breaking so much as a sweat and his training was so intense that it was nearly impossible to kill.

Tails: In order to find the Elixir of Life Gabimaru and several death row convicts and executioners all teamed up to battle against the Tensen and survive.

Luigi: It took a while but eventually they became successful and found the Elixir of Life. Oh and the village Chief was eventually arrested and died after they tested the thing out on him. Karma's a bitch.

Tails: Meanwhile now pardon of his crimes, Gabimaru returned to Yui and can finally live a happy life free of life of bloodshed and sorrow, he may have started off rough but in the end learned the values of his humanity.

Gabimaru: My own life takes top priority and I'm not planning to die. My whole goal's to survive and make it home. Home to my wife. I'm not about to lay down my life. But I'll sacrifice whatever it takes otherwise. My ideals, reason, sense, even my humanity.

Verdict

Tails: Alright the combatants are set and we've run the data on all possibilities.

Luigi: IT'S TIME FOR A DEATH BATTLE!!!!!!

Redemption's Paradise

At nighttime in an open Japanese field surrounded by several sakura trees as well as a river two young teenage combatants stare each other down. On one side is the Half Demon ronin samurai Hyakkimaru with Dororo behind him as the former protects her. On the other side we have the former Iwagakure ninja and death row convict, Gabimaru the Hollow. Gabimaru talks in his dark voice.

Gabimaru: I suggest you step aside I have a mission to complete so I can go home to see a certain someone. I don't have to to deal with whatever the shogun send after me.

Dororo clutches on to Hyakkimaru.

Dororo: Big Bro?

Hyakkimaru gives Dororo the signal to run away and hide and Dororo does so and disappears from the scene after she left, Hyakkimaru faces Gabimaru drawing his sword in the process.

Hyakkimaru: I don't know who you are but if you're after Dororo I won't let you touch him.

Gabimaru gets annoyed and decides he has no choice but to fight Hyakkimaru.

Gabimaru: (sighs) Good grief. Since you won't listen I guess I have no choice but to put you down for good.

Hyakkimaru is unfazed by this threat and responds by saying.

Hyakkimaru: Then I shall do the same.

The ronin charges and attempts to land a strike only for the ninja to deflect, but Hyakkimaru continues his assault as the two clash attacks. Gabimaru takes a deep breath and briefly uses Tao.

Gabimaru: (thinking) Focus.

The Iwagakure shinobi manages to knock Hyakkimaru back as the Half-Demon is surprised.

Hyakkimaru: (thinking) How does he do that? No nevermind that. How is it that my sword strikes are ineffective against him? Is he like me?

Gabimaru then throws a furry of punches but Hyakkimaru barely manages to dodge them.

Gabimaru: Hey I suggest you pay attention.

As he says the ninja chops the samurai's sword in two. And prepares to land another attack but Hyakkimaru pulls of his prostatic arms to reveal his arm blades and slashes Gabimaru much to the former's surprise.

Gabimaru: What?

Hyakkimaru: You'll have to do better than that.

Hyakkimaru throws his prosthetic arms to the side and charges to continue his assault on Gabimaru launches a fury of slashes forcing the ninja to be backed to a corner however Gabimaru lifts an entire tree and throws it at Hyakkimaru.

Hyakkimaru: Nice try!

He manages to land a good slash in knocking Gabimaru to the ground.

Gabimaru: Let's turn up the heat!

Gabimaru unleashes his flames surrounding his body. The fight continues as the two clash attack surviving blow for blow. Hyakkimaru then uses a his prosthetic leg and shoot out Caustic Water.

Hyakkimaru: (thinking) looks like I have to keep my distance and strike.

As the fight goes on Hyakkimaru and Gabimaru go absolutely beast mode as the entire battlefield is almost covered in flames. Gabimaru gets the upper hand

Gabimaru: I'm not done yet! I will fight to get back to my wife!

Gabimaru throws off a fury of fire attacks overwhelming Hyakkimaru so much that he's forced to dodge but still never gives up.

Hyakkimaru: You're not the only one who has people worth fighting for!

The heir to the Daigo clan continues to doge until he's able to land a devastating blow on Gabimaru with the tides now in his favor, Hyakkimaru gets close to his opponent and stab two blades right in his chest. Hyakkimaru takes a breath thinking he'd won the day but Gabimaru only gets angry much to Hyakkimaru's surprise that his opponent is still alive.

Hyakkimaru: (thinking) No way? He's still breathing?

Gabimaru then uses Tao energy and knocks Hyakkimaru in the air. Taking advantage of his now vulnerable opponent, the shinobi lands a fury of fire punches to his foe while yelling at the top of his lungs.

Gabimaru: I'm done with you!

He grabs Hyakkimaru's broken sword and stabs him in the chest with it before kicking him straight to the wall. Gabimaru takes a breath but just as he celebrates his victory a dying Hyakkimaru makes one last question.

Hyakkimaru: Tell me.... Are you really after Dororo?

When Gabimaru takes a closer look at his dying foe and realizes that he's truly not a threat he also notices Dororo crying in the distance. Realizing his mistake Gabimaru drops into tears.

Gabimaru: (sniffs) No.... I'm not going to.... I thought you were....

Hyakkimaru stops him mid sentence.

Hyakkimaru: It's alright.... We both made that mistake that's what makes us... (coughs) human.

Gabimaru then goes to comfort his dying foe as Dororo runs to Hyakkimaru's side.

Dororo: Hyakkimaru!

As Dororo mourns her brother figure, Gabimaru makes a vow.

Gabimaru: I promise I will protect Dororo and make sure no harm comes to him... Hyakkimaru.

Hearing this words Hyakkimaru smiles knowing Dororo is in good hands.

Hyakkimaru: (coughs) Thank you... Gabimaru...

With these last words Hyakkimaru passes away peacefully. Gabimaru respectfully mourns his opponent as Dororo cries uncontrollably. Gabimaru taps Dororo's shoulder. Gabimaru gives the look of a remorseful and guilt ridden look on his face something that Dororo understands. Gabimaru then reaches out his hand and Dororo does the the same though hesitant the young orphan thief finally accepts the shinobi's help as the two walk away holding Hyakkimaru's corpse along with his prosthetics as the screen hits black.

KO!

Results

Luigi: (sniffles) I'm.... I'm not crying you are! (Cries)

Tails: This was a fairly unique and surprisingly close matchup if we use some high ends this means that both Hyakkimaru and Gabimaru were roughly equal in power and speed so it truly came down to their skills and arsenal.

Luigi: And boy do they have some deep bags of tricks, even some of the same tricks. Both could create explosions, both could survive huge disasters that would kill a normal person, and both have pretty similar endurances due to battles against incredibly bizarre foes.

Tails: However Gabimaru had just about a few more options ahead of him edging just enough to earn a win.

Luigi: For starters as a ninja, Gabimaru's bound to be more agile than a samurai and thanks to Flower Tao he could regenerate from being ripped in half, decapitation, and even having nearly half his body being destroyed. While Hyakkimaru did have regeneration of his own he absolutely has never been shown the same type of insane regeneration Gabimaru has nor does he have was to counter such.

Tails: Plus thanks to his verity of jutsu, Gabimaru would simply overwhelm Hyakkimaru especially with his fire attacks and while Tao is limited Gabimaru could still continue fight for hours on end eventually lasting long enough for Hyakkimaru to get tired out.

Luigi: And last but not least, Hyakkimaru's sword combat means that he would be up close and personal with Gabimaru which means he would be left valuable to being overwhelmed by Tao and despite his demonic abilities it still wasn't enough at the end of the day.

Tails: Hyakkimaru was an absolute monster and could win in many specific ways but against Gabimaru's Tao, busted regeneration, destructive capabilities, and better ranged abilities it all proved to be futile.

Luigi: In the end Hyakkimaru Tao-tally see this loss coming.

Tails: The winner is Gabimaru.
