Tails: They're grim, nihilistic, and dreadfully ominous. Even when they fight on the side of good, they'll never crack a smile or share in their reward.

Luigi: Aw man we're talking about edge lords and anti-heroes aren't we?

Tails: Red Hood, formally the second sidekick of Batman.

Luigi: And Winter Solider, formerly the partner of Captain America, he's Tails and I'm Luigi

Tails: And it's our job to analyze their weapons armor and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle.

Tails: In Gotham city a lot of bad things happened.

Luigi: And when he says bad things he literally means bad things. Like who would even wanna live in a city where crime is everywhere?

Tails: Enter Jason Todd who didn't have a very nice childhood.

Luigi: Yeah his parents have constantly always argued a lot. His mom was in depression and drug addiction, and his dad... well let's just say he's some kind of thief. Oh and to add insult to injury Jason's mother.... died. How you may ask? Because of overdose drug addiction. Oh yeah and his dad works for Two-Face so that's terrible. But luckily his ass was thrown into prison so that's a good sign.

Tails: Orphaned at a young age, Jason had a horrible time with his life.

Luigi: Yeah but fortunately he met this ninja chick named Talia al Ghul who saw him while she was investigating the Red Hood Gang, and took an interest in him so naturally she and her father decided to keep an eye on him in the future.

Tails: But one faithful day changed Jason's life forever. He was seen taking a tire from a mysterious and awesome vehicle.

Luigi: But that vehicle belongs to the caped crusader himself, the goddamn Batman. And that vehicle is the awesome Batmobile.

Tails: Seeing young Jason as an orphan Batman took him in, trained and became his sidekick: Robin.... The second one.

Luigi: Wait what do you mean by that?

Tails: Jason was actually the second Robin, the first Robin was Dick Grayson who later grew up and became his own hero Nightwing but that's a story for another time.

Luigi: Uhhh okay.

Tails: Sure as Robin, Jason was a great hero but he is very reckless at times.

Luigi: Yeah he was helping Batman beating the s**t out of the bad guys and he was good at it.

Tails: Unfortunately success doesn't last forever. Long story short Jason found a photo of his mother who was surprisingly alive. So he went in a mission to find her without telling Batman.

Luigi: And then sh*t went down real quick. Turns out it was nothing more than a trap by the Joker who just used her mother as bate and beat the sh*t out of him. Fortunately Batman arrived to save the day. Unfortunately Batman arrived to late.

Tails: The Joker placed a time bomb in the room Jason and his mother are in and it exploded, killing them both in the process. And thus Batman is seen holding Jason's dead body.

Quick heads up: Their are several different stories on how this went but it was always the Joker who kills him.

Luigi: Yeah turns out bringing kids to the battlefield is a terrible idea. Rest In Peace Jason at least you were a great hero. Which is what I would've said if somebody didn't bring him back to life.

Tails: Apparently Talia thought that Jason was too good so she used the Lazarus Pit and brought him back to life at full strength.

Luigi: So now Jason's back from the dead and is stronger than ever.

Tails: Angered at the Joker for killing his mother in the time bomb event, and that Batman didn't do anything to avenge his previous death, Jason took on the Prince of Crime's previous mental in his quest for revenge, from then on he would be known as.....Red Hood.

Tails: Thanks to his training from Batman and the League of Assassins. He's a master at stealth, escape artist, and more, Red Hood is a force to be reckoned with.

Luigi: He even as a tolerance to pain probably from being back from the dead. But hey what's a Batman sidekick without his weapons? He's got multiple arsenal of weaponry.

Tails: Sure he has body armor but his most noticeable weapon is his Red Hood helmet. This protects Jason from knives, gun fire, can use night vision and can use it to detonate.

Luigi: Is this the helmet you're talking about?

Tails: Uh sure.

Luigi: Alright what's this button do?

Tails: WAIT! don't touch that button!

Luigi: (Touches the button) Why? Uh get this helmet off me.

Luigi and Tails get the helmet of Luigi's head as Tails throws it out the window. Which the helmet explosions.

Tails: (sighs in relief) Close shave.

Luigi: So that's how it works.

Tails: Anyway Red Hood is equipped with combat knives, shurikens, a small laser which can cut through glass windows, and grappling gun.

Luigi: He can knock you out with tasers, has skinny explosives which can knock people out, and has gliding which are electric? That's awesome. How do I get in of those?

Tails: He's also welded many guns throughout the years.

Luigi: He's had many guns over the years but he usually carries two.

Tails: And with all these abilities and weaponry, Red Hood has proven to be one of Batman's toughest sidekicks.

Luigi: Supergirl even said that the full should've killed him. Oh and also he gave the Joker a taste of his own medicine thus getting revenge for his mother's death.

Tails: And as we've said before he's fought Batman and dueled him to a draw.

Luigi: Don't forget he was trained by Batman himself and the dude can do crazy things like staying in space for 40+ seconds and outsmarted Ra's al Ghul you know Talia's father who has lived for like 500 years.

Quick heads up: This was determined in Batman VS Moon Knight.

Luigi: Plus Red Hood can definitely compare to his predecessor Nightwing who spent 4 days along with 5 hours and 13 minutes without sleeping looking for Two-Face.

Tails: According to a 2010 study on sleep deprivation noted that 72 hours without sleep leads to a number of horrendous side effects, including hallucinations.

Luigi: And Nightwing didn't need any sleep and just took down Two-Face anyway. Red Hood can definitely compare to that I mean both have been trained by Batman himself.

Tails: Despite all the great things he's done he's got some downsides.

Tails: The only reason why Red Hood survived as long he did was because of his armor and it can be damaged if someone had enough force or something like that plus he's still a human being at the end of the day and without his helmet he is completely venerable to being shot at.

Luigi: Plus all of his weapons run on limited ammo and can run out or someone can disarm them. But despite all that he's goddamn tough.

Tails: After fighting Batman (and not killing him), Jason went back to his days as a crime fighter in his own way, though he teamed up with with his former mentor as well as the Batman family and several occasions, he still finds his own way to defend Gotham city from crime. So Jason chose to protect his city from crime in the shadows just like Batman, and become the hero he had always wanted to be.

Luigi: Despite his reckless and short tempered personality, and despite only killing criminals, Jason is still one of the protectors of Gotham city. People can rest easy as long as people like him are around, and those criminals watch out because if they see a man wearing a red mask, you better count your sins and say your prayers because the Red Hood will show you no mercy.

Red Hood: I wanna word with your boss, Black Mask. Where is he?

Thug: You ain't gonna kill me. You ain't gonna kill me!

Red Hood: Do I look like Batman to you? Rethink your answer before I fill you up with lead.

Thug: Downtown! His office! But you ain't gonna get him! He knows you're coming freak!

Red Hood: Good. Shoots the thug.

Winter Solider

Tails: In the years between 1925 and 1935 Bucky Barnes's life was anything but perfect.

Luigi: Yeah when he was an orphan at age of 10 by the time his mom died and his dad died due to an accident at training, and he got separated from his sister. So yeah like many other superheroes, villains, and anti-heroes, Bucky's also in the department of dead parents. It's so sad and yet I'm not surprised this would happen.

Luigi: But then World War 2 happened and Japan dropped some bombs on Pearl Harbor in 1941, so Bucky decided to join the army in the fight in WW2.

Tails: While in training he became best friends with his fellow solider Steve Rogers.

Luigi: Who you may know is the superhuman solider with a shiny shield named Captain America and the two guys fought and began kicking some Nazi ass side by side. Wow they are the perfect dynamic duo. That's awesome. Two best friends fighting together as comrades and heading straight for victory cause that's what best friends do.

Tails: Unfortunately all that didn't last long. In 1945 near the end of the Second World War while on a mission on the trail of Nazi scientist Baron Heinrich Zemo. They duo was discovered knocked unconscious and was strapped to the drone plane to be delivered to Hitler in Berlin.

Luigi: Aww man just when things were getting good all Hell decided to break loose anyway. Why can't we have a story for once when everything starts getting good from start to finish.

Tails: Trust me Luigi it's not over yet and it's all about to get worse.

Luigi: Great. Just great.

Tails: While Steve and Bucky are trying to escape the plane, Bucky jumped out first however because his suit was sleeved snagged onto the cockpit of the plane. The plane exploded, and Bucky fell into the into the icy waters to his death.

Luigi: Aww man now that was disappointing. Worse part is that his body was never found so he was confirmed dead, crud.

Tails: But in reality Bucky survived and was discovered by Soviet Union in the submarine. The Soviet's took Bucky's supposed dead body and revived him in 1954 with an outfitted with a replacement bionic arm which had been made after a Soviet spy had recovered schematics for cybernetic appendage. While he had no memory of his past, Bucky still had considerable physical skill. He was indoctrinated to hate the West and was provided with mental implants during sensory deprivation, molding him into the perfect assassin, and brainwashing him. And so Bucky Barnes was reborn into.... the Winter Solider.

Tails: Winter Solider's most noticeable weapon is his Bionic arm a replacement of his original arm that he lost during the events of his supposed death.

Luigi: This arm gives him superhuman strength and speed, punches much harder than a normal human's arm and it sends out electrical discharges and EMP.

Luigi is seen with the Winter Solider's arm.

Luigi: This arm is super strong. One hit can easily knock down an opponent with one hit.

Luigi uses the arm and punches Tails in the stomach by accident.

Tails: Oooooooooooooooooohhhhhhh.... My stomach...

Luigi: Oops.

Tails: That..... hurt

Tails collapses on the ground.

Luigi: Uhh.... like that..... sorry Tails.

Tails: Gets back up. It's fine. Moving on aside from his arm he's got all kinds of weapons he can use in battle.

Luigi: His Domino Mask is not much but map out the environment and locate his opponents and even see them invisible. Hey Winter Solider just pulled a Daredevil right there.

Tail: He has so many grenades, grappling gun, holograms, listening devices, and knives.

Luigi: Oh and did I mention he has guns guns and more guns? He wields so many of them.

Tails: As an assassin he welds sniper guns, and rifles.

Luigi: He even carries a goddamn missile launcher. Holy cow yeah that's hardcore right there.

Tails: And with all these abilities Winter Solider has proven to be one of the most deadly martial arts in comic book history.

Luigi: Hey Tails not only has he survived electricity but the Winter Solider once fought a bear for one whole month. One whole f**king month and did it without eating or drinking or even sleeping.

Tails: According to scientists 3 weeks without eating or drinking means your body will break down and eventually leads to death. And I've already explained what happens after 72 hours without sleep.

Luigi: And Winter Solider just continued to fight that bear like a boss for a month until he emerged victorious and was just fine. Damn he sure didn't give about eating, drinking, or sleeping. And don't forget he fought on par with Captain America himself.

Tails: Cap was able to beat Hulk by hitting his pressure points and even throw him with arm.

Luigi: And not only has Winter Solider dueled Cap to a stand still but he's caught his shield before.

Tails: He's pretty tough but has his fair share of downfalls.

Quick heads up: In the movies Winter Solider had super solider serum like Captain America but this is not the case when it comes to the comics.

Tails: On top of that his bionic arm can be damage and destroyed. Also his arsenal like guns and stuff run on limited ammo but at the end of the day he's still a normal human being.

Luigi: But in the end even without all those downsides Bucky is still really tough.

Tails: After getting his memory back Bucky took it upon himself to defend the people from the shadows he even took on the Captain America mental on many occasions.

Luigi: And hey Steve and Bucky are back to being the dynamic duo again. So long as Winter Solider is around nobody will know he's even coming.

Winter Solider: Who the hell is Bucky?

Verdict

Tails: Alright the combatants are set and we've run the data on all possibilities.

Luigi: It's time for a DEATH BATTLE!!!!!!

The Red Soldiers

In an abandoned building at night we see Red Hood kill a thug who attempts to get back up.

Red Hood: *sighs* Now that that's done time to move out.

(*Cues: Dangerous Gaze*)

As Red Hood is walking he notices a man wearing a black hood as he walks by, as is Jason questions the man.

Red Hood: Hey pal what are you doing here?

The man turns out to be Winter Solider who replies back.

Winter Solider: I was going to ask you the same thing.

Jason turns around and points his gun at Bucky and threatens him.

Red Hood: Leave this place now or I'll shoot y-

Before Red Hood could finish his sentience, Winter Solider quickly pulled out his gun an starts shooting, forcing Red Hood to dodge them. The second Robin pulls out another gun and starts firing back.

Red Hood: So that's how it's gonna be huh? Well then.

The two sidekicks start shooting each other dodging each other's attacks until they face each other and stopped shooting. Winter Solider pulls out a knife.

Winter Solider: I'll make this quick.

Buck then charges at his enemy who also pulls out a knife as well. Thus resulting in a knife fight. The two clashed perfect blows not landing a hit on either. But Red Hood gets the upper hand and stabs Winter Solider in the right arm and kicks him away sending him flying. Bucky lands on the wall as Jason uses his grappling hook and shoot the wall next to him and allows himself to be pulled to it, before Soviet spy could react, Red Hood kicks him straight through the wall resulting in a hole in it and knocks him down 2 feet away.

Winter Solider slowly starts to recover but Red Hood stands over him point his gun at him ready to finish him off.

Red Hood: Too easy.

Red Hood shoots Winter Solider in the chest, killing Captain America's former sidekick in the process. Jason takes a moment to put his gun away.

Red Hood: I didn't expect it to be over that easily but oh well.

Just then he hears a familiar voice.

Winter Solider: Yeah I couldn't agree more.

Jason turns around and finds Bucky still alive and with a built on his left hand as it turns out he caught it at the last second with his left hand, leaving his opponent shocked.

Red Hood: What?

He takes out his gun and shoots him again but Barnes blocks it again with his left arm.

Red Hood: No I had you, you should be dead right now and your left arm should be bleeding!

Winter Soldier takes off his sweater to reveal his Bionic Arm making Red Hood surprised. Captain America's former sidekick then explains himself to Batman's former sidekick.

Winter Solider: I know shocking right? Though you did ruin my sweater. Now this is where the fun begins!

Winter Solider gets up and before Red Hood can shoot him Winter Solider blocks it with his metal arm and grabs him by the collar and throws him forward.

Red Hood would still flying pulls out the grappling gun.

Red Hood: Damn you!

He uses it to go up to higher levels. Winter Solider however pulls out a sniping gun and shoots him. Red Hood just barely evaded his shots.

Winter Solider: You can run but you can't hide!

Bucky continues shooting his enemy who again is dodging him. Winter Solider manages to shoot him on the helmet but he's not effected.

Red Hood uses his night vision senses to keep a lookout. He notices Winter Solider comes from behind and attempts to to throw a shuriken but Buck tackles him as the two began to fall in lower levels.

As the full Red Hood attempts to taser Winter Solider only for the latter to block it with his metal arm. Bucky attempts to strike but Jason tases him on the back causing Cap's best friend to scream in pain. The second Robin then kicks him away as they land on the ground.

Red Hood: Gonna feel that in the morning!

Winter Solider: Oh I don't think so!

The two engage in hand to hand combat but Red Hood gets the upper hand and throws two shurikens at Winter Solider's stomach and right arm. Bucky responses by charging at him while taking the shurikens out and clashing with Jason head butting him and violently slamming him into the ground.

Winter Solider: Got you!

Before Barnes can punch him Jason drops smoke bombs as smoke goes everywhere making Bucky lose sight of his opponent. He uses his mask to find Red Hood he was successful but before he could do anything throws something at him.

Red Hood: Hey buddy catch!

Winter Solider catches it as it turns out to be Red Hood's helmet he caught. The helmet starts ticking revealing it to be a bomb.

Winter Solider: Oh Sh*t!

Bucky throws the helmet at the last second but it explodes which results in 1/4 of the building to collapse.

When the dust settles Jason who no longer has his helmet recovers despite being caught in that explosion. Bucky who also doesn't have his mask on gets up as well. Jason cracks his knuckles preparing to fight for the last time.

Red Hood: I'm going to finish you.

With these words Red Hood charges and tackles Winter Solider.

Winter Solider: I'd like to see you try.

The two are in a struggle as the two attempts to hit one another with their martial arts skills but this time Winter Solider gets the upper hand and hits his pressure points making the Red Hood collapse in the ground. Before Jason could get up Winter Solider uses his metal arm to send Red Hood flying out the window. Bucky uses a grappling gun and raps it around Jason's stomach and pulls him back. Bucky then charges up and EMP on his metal arm and jumps in the air and punches him in the face with the EMP metal arm so hard he snaps Jason's neck killing him in the process. It would replay at least 3 times.

Bucky lands on the ground as did Jason's dead body. The assassin sighs in relief and looks back at his defeated opponent and says in a sarcastic voice.

Winter Solider: See you around... You red mask asshole.

After that Winter Solider than walks away into the woods heading towards a nearby city leaving Red Hood's corpse behind.

Luigi: So I guess this means that Jason died a second time huh, okay.

Tails: This was possibly one of the most closest matches to date both Red Hood and Winter Solider are very similar fighters. Both are also very evenly matched with their martial arts skills.

Luigi: But Winter Solider had many more skills and a few extra advantages that Red Hood just didn't have. Bucky has over 70+ years of training in the military in both the US and the Soviet armies even before becoming the Winter Solider so he's been doing this for way longer.

Quick heads up: While both Red Hood and Winter Solider have had training from Batman and Captain America both of which knows every martial arts known to man, Winter Solider and Cap are far more skilled in almost every aspects. Also while Jason did have years of training before becoming the Red Hood he was MUCH younger than Bucky.

Tails: With all that aside let's take a look at let's get into the real facts, like skill.

Luigi: Red Hood may have overpowered people like Batman, Deathstroke, and Bane, even broke free of Supergirl's grip but Captain America was able to overpower the Hulk who are way stronger than them, and since Winter Solider scales to him he definitely takes the advantage. Plus thanks to his metal arm Winter Solider is stronger.

Tails: Both Jason and Bucky seem fairy similar in terms of speed overall however when comparison to their former mentors Batman and Captain America, Bucky definitely takes the advantage.

Luigi: I mean Cap is a superhuman for crying out loud while Bats is peek human. Even with Jason's helmet there's no way he'll be able to keep up with Bucky. Remember just cause he knew an attack was coming doesn't always mean he can dodge it in time.

Tails: Now let's move on to their weaponry both are definitely evenly matched in that category in that category, however Barnes's dual guns were strong enough to damage the God of War so even with Jason's better armor it didn't really matter.

Luigi: Yeah other than that their both even everywhere else but unlike Bucky, Jason has never been shown to weld more op weapons like a f**king missile launcher. On top of that he has other weapons like the listening device, and holograms plus Bucky's arsenal mostly comes from military. On top of that not only his Bionic arm a perfect counter against Jason's electric gliding wins.

Tails: Both are incredibly tough in their own right both physically and mentally however Winter Solider has been shown to be much tougher.

Luigi: Tell me about I mean Red Hood may compare to Nightwing who spent 4 days and 5 hours and 13 minutes to find and track down Two-Face without getting any sleep. Holly cow that right there is hardcore.

Tails: Impressive however Winter Solider once kept fighting for an entire mouth without not only getting any sleep but also not getting food or drink.

Luigi: WAY more than Nightwing spending a few days finding Two-Face also technically yes you can survive without food for 4 days but you can't survive without any food for 3 weeks and since Winter Solider was completely fine without eating or drinking for a mouth this means that Winter Solider is way tougher than Red Hood.

Tails: Plus Buck can survive electric attacks while a simple taser can knock out Jason, and he's the better shooter. Not to mention that there's no way Jason can take out Bucky's arm once survived an attack that can generate over 1000 bolts at once.

Luigi: But Red Hood still has many ways he can take the victory. Hey we don't care who you think wins this matchup is far closer than people think.

Tails: Because of their similarities this battle is close in so many aspects making it truly difficult to see how the fight would go out as there is a lot of ways, but Winter Solider's training, experience, toughness, and larger arsenal of weaponry ultimately took the victory.

Luigi: He wasn't Buck-ing around when fighting the Little Red Robin Hood.
