Today this battle features two teenagers from Sci-Fi novels with magical powers in hand head to the battlefield and only one out of J.K. Rowling and Rick Riordan's main heroes will leave alive in this epic Season Finale.

Mario: All sci-fi have incredible stories so much so that many people have idolized them for many generations.

Sonic: Yeah all these sci-fi stuff looks pretty great when you ask me like Star Wars for example. And today we have two sci-if heroes who originated for similar novels. And also the movies.

Mega Man: Like Harry Potter the Boy Who Lived.

Sonic: And Percy Jackson the Son of Poseidon.

Mario: For this battle we will be using the books as a primary source for our analysis.

Sonic: And while it is difficult to see any feats in the books, we'll also be using other media such as the movies, comic books, and video games as supporting evidence for both combatants.

Mega Man: Their Mario and Sonic and I'm Mega Man.

Mario: And it's our job to analyze their weapons armor and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle.

Harry Potter

Mario: This is a world where magic exist and can be used to it's fullest extent and can be taught at schools.

Sonic: Yeah just look at all that magic everyone's making.

Mega Man: Unfortunately not everyone is living the best lives in the magical world.

Mario: Harry Potter who would later be known as the Boy Who Lived.

Sonic: Why is he called that you asked well you're about to find out right now because Harry's life was screwed from the start.

Mega Man: Once upon a time long long ago aka 1980, Harry was born to a wizard couple and they were all gonna live their happy lives together. Until spoiler alert: Some dark wizard bust into their house and killed the sh*t out of them.

Mario: This dark wizard is Lord Voldemort and is perhaps the dangerous wizard in the world and anyone who crosses him is dead.

Sonic: Long story short there was a prophecy that says that Harry will defeat him one day, obviously like any other bad guy Voldemort doesn't want that happening.

Mega Man: So naturally Voldemort came up with the best decision all villains always came up with: Kill him. So tracked down the Potters' house, broke in and killed his parents on the spot, without mercy and without second thoughts. Obviously this was bond to happen like sever other hero origins

Mario: Luckily, Harry survived. In her last moments his mother put a protective charm on Harry and that protective charm is... Love... It may sound confusing and lame but because of her love and her sacrifice, Voldemort was defeated and destroyed when he attempted to kill Harry and the curse responded back at him causing him to be destroyed with along a fraction of his soul left and it lived on through Harry. Thus putting an end to his reign.

Sonic: Yeah but unfortunately he is now an orphan well to keep his mother's charm alive a wise wizard named Albus Dumbledore decided to drop him off in his aunt and uncle's to be raised by them.

Mega Man: But they ended up treating him like sh*t all because his aunt was jealous of his mother. And Harry never found out about his magical abilities until he was 11 years old. So he was taken to an education school about wizards and witches called Hogwarts.

Mario: Harry wields an 11 inch phoenix core holly wand. This let's him use several magic attacks such as charms, curses, and jinxes.

Sonic: Expelliarmus which basically disarms an opponent, Confundus tricks people, and his most noticeable is Stupefy which basically stuns people.

Mega Man: He even as shields one of which can scare away dark creatures in a form of an animal, and he can use acc- or something like that. Furnunculus makes the victim have pimples all over their face.

Mario: Accio a summoning spell.

Sonic: Oh kinda like Naruto.

Mega Man: Harry also has some jinxes Furnunculus makes the victim have pimples all over their face. Or how Flipendo sends people flying backwards, Locomotor Mortis uhhh makes you jump up and down with both of your legs together? WTF did this come from?

Quick heads up: There are several occasions where Harry has casted a spell without saying the magic word.

Mario: You wanna see more weird: A spell that turns your head to a pumpkin.

Sonic spits out the water he's drinking.

Sonic:

Mario: Uhhhh..... Lets pretend that doesn't exist.

Sonic: Sure.

Mega Man: Okay. Hold on while we're on the subject of spells let me try and test them out.

Mega Man pulls out Harry's wand.

Mario: Uhh where'd you get that wand?

Mega Man: Don't worry about it. Okay let's see... So let's start with um... Aha Expelliarmus!

A spell hits Sonic and sends him flying to the wall.

Sonic: Hey! Watch where your aiming.

Mega Man: Sorry about that let me try this again and....

Mega Man slips and drops the wand.

Mega Man: I'm okay.... Uh oh shoot the wand is broken let me use some type to fix it. Ah there we go now it's all fix now let's try another one let's see....

Mario: Well speaking of which if the user's wand were to be broken any spell they casted will rebound back to the user.

Mega Man: Expelliarmus!

The spell rebounds back to Mega Man sending him flying towards the wall as he lands on the ground with legs crossed. Mega Man takes a second to groan before screaming.

Mario: Uh moving on, Harry has also can uses curses. Reducto destroys objects, Sectumsempra slashes like a sword, and uses objects as attacks with Oppugno.

Sonic: And lets not forget the 3 unforgivable curses, oh man the terrible things Bowser, Eggman, and Wily would do with those, like how Imperio controls minds, Crucio causes pain and the most deadliest out of all 3 is the Avada Kedavra aka the killing curse.

Mega Man: Damn I didn't expect this to go down hill real quick.

Mario: You all should be scared. It is an instant kill and unblockable.

Sonic: Unless it hits a wall... or a sword... or anything really.

Mega Man: Yeah if you're between yourself and a wall then you're good the killing curse won't touch you.

Mario: While Harry's never used the unforgivable curses it is implied he can. In fact he's used the Crucio curse before. Almost all magic requires a line of sight and eye contact to perform. The killing curse is no exception.

Sonic: Harry also knows appara-teleporting, and can do it without a wand.

Mega Man: His training in Occlumency defends his mind from any sort of mental attack or illusion. Illusions? I don't know about that but whatever.

Sonic: And he's got all sorts of other spells, but I seriously doubt the tickle charm's gonna help him much in the fight, so let's move on. His firebolt is a racing broom that can reach 150 miles per hour in less than 10 seconds. But if we highball that and compare it to speed distance time calculator than to travel at 150 miles per hour in less than 10 seconds than the broom can technically travel over 54,000 miles per hour now this is a stretch just to let you know, anyways Harry owns the Cloak of Invisibility, an unrelenting Deathly Hallow that hides the wearer from sight and cannot be detected.

Mega Man: Unless he makes a noise or pokes his foot out.

Mario: And at certain times, Harry can use the Sword of Gryffindor, a legendary longsword used by one of the founders of Hogwarts. Although the sword itself didn't possess outright magical properties, after being coated in the venom of the monstrous Basilisk. Harry is a quick draw with his wand and has performed many great feats at very young ages. He has also mastered non-verbal spells.

Mario: He even clash with Voldemort who welded the most powerful wand the Elder Wand one of the Deathly Hallows. Voldemort once used this wand to destroy a barrier that surrounds Hogwarts.

Sonic: This guy has taken down sever dark wizards and witches during the battle of Hogwarts.

Mega Man: Even before he was 17 he was still going toe to toe with so many Death Eaters.

Mario: But that's why it's a good thing Harry has such a wide array of spells to call upon in these dangerous situations. Such as a freezing spell which should be capable of delivering 22 million newtons or over 2000 tons (2,472 tons).

Sonic: Harry can all compare to who is continuously stated to be the most powerful wizard in possibility all of history was able to draw in a massive fog bank with his magic. A feat worth 13 kilotons of TNT.

Mega Man: Yeah now that is insane right there.

Mario: Harry has battled so many dark wizards, and other magical foes.

Sonic: So he technically decided to drop out of his 7th year.

Mega Man: Yeah decides to skip school huh. Well I guess if you kill the most dangerous wizard in the world I guess get a G.E.D. Well at least he can start and raise a family.

Harry: Come on Tom let's finish this they way we started. Together!

Percy Jackson

Mario: Despite living a normal life in New York City like everyone else, Percy Jackson was a pretty troubled kid.

Mega Man: So Percy is just your average kid protagonist with a lot of problems he's a trouble-maker who has been expelled from school more times than I could count, doesn't pay attention in class, has an abusive stepfather and last but not least: the classic sitcom bully. No story like this is complete without it, but his troubles hit even worse when he was 12 years old.

Mario: However despite all these troubles one fateful day changed Percy's life forever. During a school field trip Percy was annoyed and harassed by one of his bullies Nancy Bobofit.

Sonic: Luckily like many protagonists who have been bullied before there is always that one best friend who protects them and for Percy that was Grover Underwood, at least he has one best friend during that time.

Mega Man: But Percy also had some other unexpected protection, while he was angry some water from a nearby fountain pulled Nancy's ass straight into the water, haha serves you right Nancy don't ever touch him again.

Mario: The water pulling her from the fountain is an important fact for later. Witnessing this incident, one of his teachers Mrs. Dodds, brings Percy to the museum to talk to him.

Sonic: Turns out to be a trap, cause right off the bat Mrs. Dodds transformations into a demon and tries to kill him, but luckily another one of his teachers, Mr. Brunner and Grover saved his life and Mrs. Dodds is dead..... Well for now at least.

Mega Man: And this is the part where things get crazy turns out that Percy's father is a Greek God and Percy is a Demigod the Son of Poseidon who can control water which is what explains why that one bully was grabbed and through in the fountain, and guess what: Grover is a half human and half goat like damn things is getting intense.

Mario: Long story short Percy was in a car on his way to a place called Camp Half-Blood a place for Demigods alongside his mother and Grover.

Sonic: S**t when down and a monster showed up and attacked them and while Percy and Grover were making it to safety his mom was caught and was basically killed by a flash of yellow light.

Mega Man: And Percy was pissed so bad that he jump in the air grabbed the monster's horns and killed him on the spot but then he passed out too. But luckily 3 days later he recovered at a Camp Half-Blood were all of his adventures take place.

Mario: As a Demigod, Percy has superhuman strength, speed, durability basically all the same abilities as a normal human being but stronger.

Sonic: And as the Son of Poseidon he has the ability to control water and use it to it's full extent, he can create weapons, heal wounds, increase his abilities, can breath underwater, gives him immunity to water, and make huge waves, he can literally make anything he wants.

Mega Man: That's awesome! Suck it Aquaman! While were on the subject of water since Percy can breath underwater right so I say we do a challenge to see who can breath underwater water the longest. Me and Mario, not Sonic cause we all know what happens what happens when he's underwater.

Mario: Alright. Let's do it.

Sonic: Alright in your marks get set go.

Mario and Mega Man jump in the water the moment Sonic starts the timer.

Sonic: Okay so far so good-Whoa!

Sonic accidentally slips and falls in the water!

Sonic attempts to swim up but can't as the drowning music ends. Mario and Mega Man managed to save Sonic as the all come up for air and get out the water.

Sonic: Thanks guys.

Mario: No problem.

Mega Man: Yeah. And this is why you should learn to swim.

Mario: moving on he also carries his most iconic weapon the Riptide. It may be a pen but it can transform into a sword, a a Greek sword made of Celestial Bronze, a mythical metal harmful to monsters, ghosts, gods, demigods, basically nearly anything.

Sonic: Even though this is a stretch, Percy has been shown to control other elements aside from water, like fire, lightning, air, earth, and ice. As well as the weather, poison and can cure wounds.

Mega Man: Too bad those other elemental abilities are completely limited though, even though he is probably capable of using them though, but hey it's not like he always uses them nor does he need to anyway cause water alright makes him stronger just like his pops. And he has some many feats to prove it,.

Quick heads up: While Percy did have a magical shield which can take the form of a wristwatch when not in use, made by his half-brother Tyson he no longer has this shield by the time he was 16 and 17 but thanks to his water versatility, Percy can easily create a shield of his own made out of water.

Mario: Not only has he gone toe to toe with Ares, the God of War but he's also alongside the Seven demigods battles Mother Earth Gaia, who sorely teed off that her kids got overthrown by their kids.

Sonic: Percy is fast enough to react and deflect lightning from Luke. The distinction appears to be about 12 feet so divide that by the speed of lightning he must've reacted at 6,288,219 meters per second (14,066,345 miles per hour) that's 18,333 times faster than the speed of sound. Okay sure that's non canon but in the books Percy can definitely compare and keep up with fellow Demigod, Jason Grace who did a simpler feat at blocking lightning that means he would react around 62,148 miles per hour (27,867 meters per second) or Mach 81.

Mega Man: If you think that's cool try the time when he held up the sky! I'm not even joking! Look at this! Since when is that even possible?!

Mario: Well keep this in mind Percy is not LITERALLY holding the sky or at the very least that "weight" of it and he only  held it for a limited amount of time. Given Percy's height and the height of the "sky" he must've held it with the force of 22 gigatons of TNT.

Quick heads up: I've seen the claim of Annabeth survived the sky fall on top of her however I read the Titan's Curse comic book and the sky didn't exactly fall on top of her so that claim is false.

Mega Man: Still there's a difference between lifting strength and striking strength, like how in comparison to Jason who created a storm powerful enough to contain Gaea, can also create storms as a side-effect of his powers as well which is about 18 kilotons of TNT and Gaea's is said that it was about 24 megatons of TNT so that's impressive.

Mario: I'm not sure if Percy can create THAT amount of power but if he's anywhere near close then it should be his max power.

Sonic: Dude who cares it's still freaking awesome.

Mega Man: Also while his Demigod powers make him a big OP that can definitely drain his stamina if he uses it too much, and he's probably at a disadvantage in the air for some odd reason. But hey he's still a powerful warrior. Also his mother's not dead she was captured in the first book by Hades and he had to save her which he did so not that big of a deal.

Mario: Percy would continue to save the world and Olympus time and time again along with his friends. Rather your a Demigod, God, or human you all can rest easy.

Sonic: Even though he has water which is my greatest weakness ever.

Mega Man: Oh shut up, Sonic next time learn to swim and don't put your stupid drowning music in everyone's ears.

Percy: Yeah. I think I am the Son of Poseidon!

Verdict

Sonic: And we've run the data on all possibilities.

Mega Man: It's time for a DEATH BATTLE!!!!!!!!!!

Wizard Gods

Inside the forests of Konohagakure, the Village Hidden in the Leaves (from Naruto) we see Harry Potter walking in the forest. He is seen Reading some wanted posters of Mario, Sonic, and Mega Man. As he was reading he hears a crashing sound.

Harry: What the?

Meanwhile Percy Jackson is seen recovering from a fall but wasn't hurt.

Percy: Ugh. Well that was lame. Better luck next time.

He is also seen holding wanted posters of Mario, Sonic, and Mega Man. But as he was reading them, Harry appears via Apperation as Percy turns around to meet him.

Percy: Oh hey.

Harry: Ummm you okay yeah?

Percy: I'm fine it's just-

Percy notices the same wanted posters Harry has and narrowed his eyes.

Percy: Sorry pal but I'm not gonna let you get them first. I suggest you step aside.

Harry: Find go ahead. I'll step aside and let you catch them...

Percy starts to leave thinking that Harry will let him catch Mario, Sonic, and Mega Man. However, unbeknownst to him, not only is the Boy Who Lived being sarcastic about what he's saying but is not going to let the Demigod capture Nintendo, Sega, and Capcom's mascots.

Harry: ...After I kick your arse!

Harry pulls out his wand and shot sever spell shots at Percy notices this and dodges them. Percy responds by pulling out his pen which he latter turns it into the Riptide sword and gets into a fighting stance, as Harry shoots out another spell at Percy.

Harry: Stupefy!

A jet of magic shoots out from the edge of his wand as Percy jumps in the air and used his sword to deflect the spell back at Harry who dodges and shoots another stunning spell which hits Percy as he is sent flying backwards flying by several trees one of which Kakashi Hatake was reading his book on and dodges the Son of Poseidon who is flying backwards.

Meanwhile Percy gets up as Harry teleports in front of him and attempts to shoot out another magic spell however before he could, Percy trips him by the leg and kicks Harry down a nearby hill. Percy walks up to the hill Harry slide down on.

Percy: That it for you?

The wizard gets up on his feet and responds to the Demigod's question.

Harry: Sorry but, we wizards don't go down that easily.

Harry disappears with Apperation as Percy is shocked and tries to look for him by calling out to him.

Percy: What? Hey get back here! And fight back you cooooooooohhh!

Harry appeared by behind him and shot him with the stunning spell. Percy is down on his knees and attempts to fight back only for Harry to shoot him with another spell.

Harry: Levicorpus!

Percy is lifted upside down as Harry shoots another spell at his opponent.

Harry: Expelliarmus!

Percy attempts to block the spell with his sword but is send flying backwards all the way down into a lake his sword lands 20 feet away as Percy lands right near the lake. He coughs out dust from the fall. Harry appears and steps on his sword and taunts him.

Harry: Give up now, huh?

Percy looks at the lake and makes a smirk look at Harry.

Percy: Oh I don't think so!

Percy closes his eyes as the water behind him begins to start making bubbles. Harry is confused especially as the bubbles start growing larger and then Percy opens his eyes as a huge wave of water surrounds Percy and lifts himself into the air as Harry is shocked at his opponent's ability to control water. Shocked Harry used another spell.

Harry: Accio firbolt!

However by the time he was finished saying his words, Percy washes the wand out of Harry's hands and taunts him.

Percy: Most impressive. But nice try!

The Camp Half-Blood member dives straight towards Harry and knocks him down. Before he could even recover, Percy uses his hand to hand combat skills and starts beating Harry up only for Harry teleports away and reappears at his wands location and notices his racing broom 30 feet away heading for Harry. Find a way to get it Harry casts another spell in the mean time.

Harry: Confundus!

He shoots another spell but Percy makes a shield made out of water and blocks the attack but he notices Harry is gone again much to his annoyance.

Percy: Gragh! Dude I don't know how many time you're gonna keep disappearing but play times over!

He hears noises coming from the bushes and here's footsteps. It was then that Percy realizes that Harry is under the Cloak of Invisibility trying to sneak up on him. Percy uses his water to pull his sword back to him and gets ready. Just then he turns to the side and slashes Harry removing the Cloak of Invisibility and leaving a small scratch on his cheek due to Harry trying to dodge it. Harry's firebolt arrives and hits Percy giving Harry a chance to ride it ride it and uses a spell at his enemy.

Harry: Reducto!

Percy is hit by the spell and is sent flying in the air as Harry bumps him and flies into the skies above the Hidden Leaf.

The two novel teenagers are send in the sky struggling, Percy attempts to knock Harry off his broom but Harry spends Percy off sending him falling back to the ground. Harry dives down and uses another spell.

Harry: Crucio!

He uses the curse and causes pain on Percy as Harry pulls him towards him and spins him around and slams him into the ground. After that Percy coughs out blood from the impact from the Half-Blood Wizard's attack. Harry hovers over him and prepares to finish him off. But before he could the water from the lake forms a fist and punches Harry so hard and his broom breaks apart sending him flying to the other side of Percy. The Demigod gets back up and heals thanks to the water around him. Percy shoots out water fist at Harry but manages to block them thanks to the shield charm. Percy gets his sword ready with the water aura all over him.

Percy: I'm not done yet.

With the water at his side Percy charges at his opponent at full speed as Harry gets up and raises his wand.

Harry: Neither am I!

Percy continues to charge at Harry only for the Boy Who Lived to cast another spell.

Harry: Sectumsempra!

This spell slashes Percy catching the Demigod off guard and fall to the ground and flitches, but he quickly gets back up continues charging ahead and leaps forward. Harry charges up one last spell the killing curse and gets into a stance as Percy comes closer.

Harry: It's over.

Harry leaps forward and casts the spell while Percy uses the combination of his sword and water and unleashes it to clash with his opponent's wand.

After the clash both Harry and Percy end up on opposite sides. Unfortunately in the clash Harry's wand falls apart in two pieces from Percy's water sword attack. Harry chocks as he coughs out blood from his mouth and a lot of blood comes out from his chest. Harry falls on his knees and then on his stomach dead. Percy heals all of his wounds form the battle and looks back at the deceased Boy Who Lived.

Percy: That is so uncivilized.

Percy shakes head as he says this.

Mega Man: So let me get this straight: Harry can survive a spell that can pretty much instant kill almost anything and anyone it touches yet he couldn't survive being stabbed in the chest by a sword.

Sonic: I don't understand how that logic works but let's move on.

Mario: Now this was a very close match and both Harry and Percy has many advantages that could go either way.

Mega Man: While Percy's water abilities came in handy, Harry's magic versatility continue to put Percy to the test again and again.

Sonic: Yeah so as far as arsenal and versatility goes this means that Harry actually has the advantage.

Mario: But unfortunately that doesn't matter because Percy's skills and abilities lead to his victory.

Mega Man: While Harry is a tough fighter he's not really that much of a physical fighter while Percy has  definitely been in several physical fights before he even knocked out a guy out with one punch so that's something.

Sonic: Even if we wank Harry's firebolt to 54,000 miles per hour, Percy's reaction speed is 1.15 times faster than Harry more than fast enough to keep up with Harry, and while technically Harry's teleportation means that Percy can't touch him, Percy is still fast enough to stop it from happening so regardless it doesn't matter.

Mario: Now time for their power output in comparison to what Dumbledore and Jason they seem fairly comparable overall, however Percy has been shown to have MUCH better feats than that.

Mega Man: But hey don't give up on Harry yet I mean we can compare him to Voldemort who destroyed the barrier that sounds Hogwarts.

Sonic: Highballing this let's say that the barrier Voldemort destroyed was 10x bigger.

Mario: According to Hogwarts park, they couldn't make the castle 700 feet tall and instead 15 stories tall. Taken literally that means that Hogwarts castle is about 700 feet tall. With that and multiple it's surroundings which is about 414,000 square feet we've determined it's full sizes to be 289,800,000 with that in mind the energy of something of that size is at 2 gigatons of TNT.

Sonic: Absolutely we didn't do the best calculations and their could be some problems in how we got this but remember we were highballing Harry's maximum power.

Mega Man: But Percy has some way better than that. Remember that Jason guy who created that storm? Yeah he's comparable to Percy.

Mario: The new storm revisions says the minimum radius of a cloud should be 20 km. According to DMUA's calc, that means the cloud's weight is 10,083,255,780,961 kg. Jason gathered the clouds around him, so the clouds probably moved all towards a point so that they formed a cloud. In this case, the radius (20 km) should be used instead of the diametre. The clouds moved at a frightening speed, but I'll assume 1 minute, 30 seconds and 10 seconds. This mean the energy need is more than 4 gigatons of TNT.

Sonic: That is 2 times stronger than the Hogwarts barrier.

Mega Man: Yeah and we were definitely highballing Harry so with it without the highball Percy is still way stronger than Harry. Plus he has some more combat experience and has superhuman strength, speed, durability, agility, and stamina. Seriously don't underestimate the Demigods.

Quick heads up: Even if Harry ties to control Percy's mind, Percy has survived magical attacks that effected him physically, mentally, and spiritually so Percy should be able for resist Harry's mind curse.

Sonic: I know this sounds ridiculous to some of you guys from when we highball but it's still a close match.

Mario: Now something to note is that while Percy has survived magical attacks but he can still die from attacks like the killing curse. And yes Harry's never actually used it because it's an Unforgivable Curse but it's still implied he can.

Mega Man: But is you enter a Death Battle it doesn't matter because this is a maximum potential fight to the death.

Sonic: And while Harry's magic can hurt Percy, Percy still has many advantages to work his way around it. Plus Percy has survived magical attacks that effected him physically, mentally, and spiritually sure it probably hurt him a bit but he was still damn fine from all of it. Wow.

Mario: Harry's magic arsenal, veracity, and tricks put a close and great fight but Percy's Demigod abilities, speed, and experience trumped in the end.

Mega Man: Yeah Percy's victory went by in a splash.

Sonic: Well looks like Harry is now known as the Boy Who Died.

Mario: The winner is Percy Jackson.
