Great, now I'm lost.
You kept on walking in the direction you thought your house was. After about five minutes, you gave up and sat on a rock.
You observed the area around you. It was pretty light out considering it was the middle of the night. It must be the moon, it is really bright tonight.
What time is it? I wish I brought my phone with me. Even if I did, who would I call?
You couldn't call your parents, for obvious reasons, and it's not like they would come and get you anyways. You could call Y/B/F/N , your best friend.
Even though she only has a permit, she wouldn't mind driving illegally to rescue you.
Why did I leave my phone at home?
So you were stuck there.
You could tell that you weren't too far away from the amusement park, since you could still hear all of the voices and sounds from inside the park. The sounds were fairly quiet, but still audible.
As you were listening to the sounds of the amusement park, you began to hear other sounds. The sound of rustling leaves, like footsteps.
You started to feel a little scared, as you really thought about the situation you were in.
You were in the woods, in the middle of the night, all alone.
You took a deep breath, and climbed on top of the rock to see if you could get any sense of direction. Every direction looked the same.
It's all trees.
"What do I do now," you ask yourself, and step off the rock.
Then came more footsteps. Sounded like one person. You couldn't tell what direction they were coming from.
You tried looking around, but the moonlight was blocked by some clouds. So now it was really dark. You could only see a few feet ahead of you.
You kept looking around, until something grabbed your wrist. You were about to scream but something covered your mouth as well.
"Sh, it's just me," said a voice. Crap.
You calmed down a little after that, but the voice brought a whole bunch of other nerves. You weren't ready to confront this person.
You move your mouth away from his hand so you can speak.
"Mario?" you asked.
"It's okay, I'm here now." He said while pulling you in for a hug.
"Mario, you scared me!" you said while pushing him away and lightly punched his arm.
"Hey, I wasn't the one who ran out of the restaurant."
"Well, I wasn't the one flirting with the waitress!" you retorted.
Oops. Did I really just say that?
"Wait, what?" said Mario.
You turned away from him, trying to hide your face. He took hold of your forearm, and spun you back around.
"Wait, you think there is something going on with me and the waitress?" He asked.
You put my head down. This was really embarrassing. How could I be so stupid? He lifted up your chin.
"Y/N, there is nothing going on with me and the waitress."
"I know but..." you didn't know what to say.
"But what?"
"Nothing. Let's just go home." He looked at you for a few seconds until he responded.
"Ok. Follow me."
***
You both had only been walking for two minutes before Mario brought up the subject again. He was starting to get on your nerves.
"So did you really think I was flirting with the waitress?" Um....
"I guess so."
"You must have been pretty upset."
"Kind of." you said, half paying attention, because you were trying to focus on where you were stepping since you were both still in the woods.
"Like really upset?" He's enjoying this too much. Now you were upset.
"Mario, I swear if you don't stop asking questions, I'm going to-"
"Fine, fine, I'll stop."
You were really annoyed at him at this point. Saying there was a little tension between you two would be an understatement.
"Can I tell you a secret?" He asked. I'm so not in the mood for serious talk.
"What?" you questioned in an annoyed tone. He went in front of you, as you were walking, and started walking backwards while talking to you.
"Ever since the moment I met you I-" He fell backwards before he could finish. His fall was immediately followed by a loud splash. Any anger you felt towards him was replaced with concern.
"Mario!" you screamed.
All of a sudden he came back up, grabbed your arm, and pulled you in.
The water was coldish and deeper than you expected. You decided to get back at Mario.
"I can't swim" you lied. And just as you had thought, Mario came to save you. When he did, you pushed his head under the water for a couple seconds.
He started splashing water at you the second he got his head above the water. You splashed back.
Mario stopped for a second and looked at his arm.
"What?" you asked, swimming towards him.
"I have an idea," he said. He took your hand and started rubbing it against his arm. What the hell?
You looked closer at his arm, there was something written on it, a number. Oh, it's Molly, our waitress's number. She wrote her number on Mario's arm.
You continued to wash away the ink on his arm until it was all gone.
"All gone," you said as your ponytail fell out. I guess I didn't notice that it was falling out.
"All gone," he repeated, putting a piece of your hair behind your ear.
You thought of something funny, and started to laugh.
"What?" He asked. You splashed him in the face and he gave you a pretend shocked look.
After that you both kept splashing at each other until you got out of the water.
***
You both had walked all the way home hand in hand. You were now in front of your house. "Do you need help climbing back up the tree?" He asked.
"Actually, I'm going to use the front door. I know where the spare key is."
"Ok, so I'll see you at school?" He said. Then you remembered something.
"Oh, your jacket!" you exclaimed while taking it off.
"It's okay, you can keep it."
"I don't want anyone to question where I got it from."
"You're right." He said taking the jacket out of your arms.
"Bye." He said.
"Bye."
You both turned around, and you started to head towards your front porch as he stared to walk back to his house.
You couldn't help but feel like you were forgetting something. And then it hit you.
"Mario!" you shouted out to him as you turned around.
"Yes?" He said turning around as well.
You ran up to him and wrapped your arms around his neck and he wrapped his arms around your waist.
You didn't know what came over you but you kissed him.
And he kissed back.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
The kiss was short but that was okay. It still felt amazing. You rested your forehead on his, afterwards.
"Thank you for... everything." you said.
"Anytime," he said.
You both stayed like that for a couple minutes. You, reluctantly, let go of him.
"Goodnight, Mario" you said, slowly walking up the steps of your front porch.
"Goodnight, Y/N" he said.
And with that, you grabbed the spare key from under the mat, opened the door, and walked in.
