Once everyone is back at the Winter Palace as well as grabbing another Purified Darkmess Energy Crystal, Rabbid Rosalina looks at Captain Orion, who had his arms crossed with a serious look on her face. She hugged the Spark plush close to her and sighed, glancing to the side.

"Sorry for wandering off, Orion."

"A-hem. I'm still 'Captain Orion' last time I checked, thank you. Though it seems I needn't have worried. No sad excuse for a Siren can torpedo my Rabbid Rosalina!" he said. "Still, with my duties here keeping me occupied, perhaps you could look after our new friends along their journey."

"Ugh... Seriously? I don't have time! I need to find a way to get to Rosalina." Rabbid Rosalina said in annoyance.

"You're looking for her too?" Y/N asked, surprised.

"Rosalina? Ah, of course - I can see you're a fan. The likeness is er... uncanny. You know, WE'RE on our way to find her, too. We could use someone with your er... 'enthusiasm'? You get what I mean." Beep-0 suggested.

"Eh. I mean, yeah, that's cool, whatever. I'm down."

"Great! Welcome to the team." Y/N smiled.

Rabbid Rosalina looks at Captain Orion fondly.

"Captain Orion? Thank you... for everything. I promise to make you proud."

Captain Orion looks like he's about to burst into tears, but he kept his posture up.

"You already have, child... You just take good care, now. THAT'S an order."

"Aye Aye, Captain." Rabbid Rosalina smiled.

Y/N looks at Rabbid Bowser, who's busy scaring Rabbid Luigi who quickly hides behind Rabbid Mario.

"Haha! What a wimp!" Rabbid Bowser laughed.

"Hey! That's not nice, you know." Rabbid Y/N scolded, making him flinch.

"You're Rabbid Bowser, huh?" Beep-0 said in a deadpan tone. "Not surprised that you'd do something like that. Would you care to join us? We could use some more help. You don't have to come if you don't want."

Rabbid Bowser was surprised at the offer before grinning, wrapping his arm around Rabbid Y/N.

"I'll gladly come, robot! Gotta makes sure someone like this pretty lady is safe!"

"But I can handle myself..." Rabbid Y/N mumbled.

"Right, right, whatever..."

Y/N giggled along with Mario and Luigi, knowing what it's like to deal with Bowser. Jeanie appears and floats over to the statue.

"We now have enough purified Darkmess energy to create a Warp Tunnel to Palette Prime. The ship will be ready for launch upon your return." she said before disappearing.

With that, everyone explores the Winter Palace for a while and made sure to destroy anything that are covered in Darkmess before heading out and heading back to the ship. Captain Orion begins to cry.

"Be well, Rabbid Rosalina! With my Rabbid Rosalina on board, Cursa doesn't stand a Jelly Orionid's chance in a Shimmering Heliopus nest! Ha!"

"Goodbye." Rabbid Rosalina said, smiling.

They eventually went inside as the ship takes off from the planet and into space.

The flight took a while as Y/N stares at her phone, wondering if he had gotten her message, not knowing he's in danger. Everyone gathered around the table as the hologram appeared.

"We are on approach to Palette Prime. Known for the warm orange and yellow foliage of its woodlands, its ambrosial pumpkin spice and uplifting poetry! I've been wanting to visit for ages." Beep-0 announced, looking excited to go there.

Jeanie as usual burst his bubbles as she spoke in monotone voice.

"The presence of Darkmess Energy on this planet has obstructed the natural active synthesis of anthocyanin pigments, leaving its forest canopies drab, while its labyrinthine woods swallow visitors in a shroud of impenetrable darkness, where enchanted creatures observe and consider whether to help... or to harm. Also, pumpkin spice is overrated."

Beep-0 looks offended while confused and shocked.

"Why Jeanie - was that a JOKE?"

Rabbid Bowser and Rabbid Mario are having a glaring contest for a minute until Rabbid Bowser grabbed Rabbid Mario and rolled him into a ball and kicked him straight into the wall, making him groan in pain. Rabbid Y/N shook her head and turned away from him, shocking Rabbid Bowser. Y/N shook her head as well in disappointment and whispered something to him to get him to understand about women as she too has experience with Bowser and would make sure he doesn't do anything mean and stupid. Rabbid Bowser understands a little and looks at Rabbid Y/N, who's helping Rabbid Mario out with Rabbid Luigi.

Rabbid Rosalina glances at the window to see they have landed Palette Prime, but the autumn weather doesn't look good as almost everything is covered in Darkmess with trees falling off, foods being rotten or broken, and animals fleeing and hiding. As the ship was about to take a land, it started to act out like it's out of fuel as the ship starts to shake before hitting the floor hard. Everyone runs out of the ship, not expecting this as Beep-0 looks at Jeanie in shock and slightly mad.

"Jeanie! What kind of approach was that?! Did you optimize your landing protocols? Or did Rabbid Luigi spill chili on the orbiter controls again?"

"The 'hard landing' was caused by abnormal interference. Not Darkmess related, but perhaps... dramatist-related?" Jeanie calmly said.

Just then, a tall Rabbid in a dark purple coat with pink bowtie and black hat. He holds an umbrella that has some holes on it. He brings out his notebook and pulls out a feather pen and starts writing as he speaks to them.

Begone, friends. Begone!

Jeanie floats up next to the tall Rabbid.

"This is T.S. Woodrow, warden of Palette Prime and 'locally famous' amateur poet - mostly self-published."

Woodrow speaks in a poem again as he keeps writing.

A gold and ruby coiffure,
now dead and gray dross! Most horrid than this torture-
I am too NUMB to feel their loss!

Jeanie floats over the trees that are turned gray and purple and sees the tree covered in Darkmess with purple glow inside.

"Translation - the trees are being drained of the anthocyanin pigmentation and carotenoid compounds needed to change color. This is undoubtedly the work of a Darkmess Tentacle somewhere inside the Spellbound Woods."

Jeanie looks over the village that are also covered with Darkmess with the giant tentacle in the middle of the area then to the broken bridge and to someone's house.

"Elsewhere, in Town Plaza, villagers are terrorized by a second Tentacle, and something else that's tearing it apart. However, the bridge to the Plaza is destroyed. The only access is through a secret passage underneath Woodrow's home."

Mario and Y/N puts a thoughtful look on their faces as Woodrow then left. Beep-0 though was speechless at Jeanie's words.

"How did you get all THAT from a few lines of really depressing poetry?"

"An analysis of all 7,643 of Woodrow's poems divulged his communication and thought patterns. I... I suppose I understand him." she said a little nervously before disappearing back into the ship.

Beep-0 turns to the group

"A forest befouled by Darkmess? A village cut off and under siege?" he asked before sighing. "We're not going to have time to go to an apple pressing while we're here, are we?"

They went over to Woodrow again who's sitting by the tree trunk.

"Tragedy in town! Horror in the forest! Two halves of a bitter fruit - nee of fiendish root."

"He really is worried about the people and the forest. We better fix this planet." Y/N said.

Everyone nodded in agreement and went off to the path, except for Rabbid Bowser as he was talking to Woodrow about how to get the girl to like him as he overheard that some girls like poetry, which proceeded Woodrow to tell him about it through his poem. Rabbid Bowser brings out the notebook and starts writing as he listens. He then managed to catch up with the heroes after thanking him for the advice and purposely pushes Rabbid Luigi aside for him to walk next to Rabbid Y/N. They head towards Woodrow's house, only to bump into another one of Cursa's goons called Medician. They immediately dash through it that's guarding the bridge to Woodrow's house.

They found themselves in another dimension as they're standing on the platforms with dark night sky beneath them that could lead to abyss if they fall. They find 3 Medician's they need to defeat along with 7 Goomba Squads, and 2 Flamin' Stooges. Suddenly, a shiny Spark that resembles a disco ball comes over and stops next to the Medician.

"Look out for these Medicians - they can heal their allies AND put-up Team Barriers to protect them. They even have a Shock Super Effect that spreads from its original target to other Heroes nearby! The name's Glitter, by the way!"

Glitter then comes up to the heroes.

"What's your motivation, you ask? ME! If you win, I get to ride your coattails out of here."

Mario, Rabbid Peach, and Rabbid Rosalina begins their fight as the other heroes help out. Mario dash through the Goombas near him, then activate his Spark Toxiquake and attack Medician as it disappears. Rabbid Rosalina help defeat the Goomba Squads nearby and attack the Flamin' Stooges with Rabbid Peach. Rabbid Peach get as close to another Medician as possible with the help of Y/N or Beep-0 flying them over to the next platform, activate her Pyrostar, and attack it with her three rockets shooter. It only managed to get weak a little and Rabbid Rosalina help finish it off with her Kaboomer as it launches several projectiles towards the Medician. Y/N and others made sure the portals are destroyed.

Mario help finish off the last Medician with his dual slingers and the help of Toxiquake, finishing their mission. When they spawn back on the Planet, the bridge is no longer blocked as they're able to enter the house. Once inside, they look around for anything to get them into the Town Plaza. They eventually saw the bookcase and pushed it to the side to reveal the hidden path. They head inside to find themselves in the underground as Beep-0 looks over the edge to see nothing that could help them go to the other side as everything is dark. He looks at the heroes with unamused look.

"Our path to the village plaza is blocked by a chasm! How is this a convenient shortcut? Can anyone shed some light on that for me?"

Suddenly, a familiar voice spoke that made Y/N immediately recognize.

"Looks like I lit upon you just in time then!"

Twinkle comes in view, looking bright as ever as he flies around the surprised heroes above their heads.

"TWINKLE?! But I thought we left you on Beacon Beach?"

"You did, but with all the Spark Hunter talk I thought I'd be better off with you, so I followed you here." Twinkle said. "But I'm not here to be a burden! In fact, if you need help, maybe I can lighten up your load?"

Twinkle flies up above Beep-0 before diving into him, causing his face to turn from blue to yellow as he looks happy.

"I CAN SEEEE THE LIIIIGHT!"

He calms himself down as he looks around the area.

"And other things as well, I think - all thanks to Twinkle. Suddenly, crossing that chasm doesn't seem like such a shot in the dark after all!"

Edge grabs Beep-0 as she begins to scan what appears to be nothing only to reveal an invisible bridge for them to cross as they did while jumping into another battlefield to defeat the Depletors. Afterward, you'll return to the Planet, and the path will no longer be blocked. As you follow the path, you'll run into another puzzle. To solve it, go to pressure plates, use Scan, and a wooden crate will spawn in. You'll need to put the crate on the Orange Pressure Plate. A path will then open up, and before you reach the other blocked area, use Scan again. Another crate will spawn in, and you'll need to push it on the Green Pressure plate to leave the area.

Once they leave the underground, they're now in Town Plaza where they can see a giant Darkmess Tentacle in the middle of the town. Just as they're about to approach it, Y/N noticed there's a phone on the ground and picked it up to examine the screen has the crack. She turns it around and her eyes widened with recognition at the familiar cover that a certain person would use. She turns the phone on to see the profile background picture of... herself. Before she could question in realization, a loud crashing noises was coming behind the houses as giant clouds of dusts could be seen as it makes its way to the pink house with a golden acorn on top of the roof.

The house started to break as windows and house parts are being torn down until it explodes into pieces, causing the giant dust to blind everyone for a small amount of time. When the smoke cleared, Y/N heard a familiar growl and her eyes widened to see...

"Bowser." she gasped, both relieved and shocked to see him.

Bowser shook his head from the pain he had suffered before growling and looking up to see the enemy he was fighting with. Standing before him was a pink haired female Rabbid with two round pigtails. She wears the black-pink clothing of a Greco-Roman wrestler. Her major physical distinction is her square and blocky body. She glares back at him and throws a punch at Bowser when he caught her fist and went to punch her, only she too caught his fist. The two growls at each other as they struggled to push each other off. Bowser took a quick glance at everyone and was surprised to see Mario and Y/N, who are just as surprised to see him. His eyes softened to see a worried look on Y/N as he gave her a small smile before glaring at Mario and went back to trying to push the stone female Rabbid back and thinking of how to beat her.

The stone female Rabbid smirked and took a quick glance only for her to stop smirking as she noticed Edge in the group of heroes as everyone continued to watch. Edge sees her and smirks at her. This shocked the stone female Rabbid and which Y/N and Rabbid Mario noticed. Bowser took the opportunity to headbutt her hard, nearly knocking her off her feet as she was flung backwards. Bowser roar in victory only for her to smirk and immediately headbutt him back but harder as Bowser went flying. She quickly grabs his tail and spun him around fast before throwing him in the air. She jumps up after him as Bowser fell into the Darkmess Tentacle, and she too dive in after.

"That round fella a friend a' yours?" Edge asked curiously with a thoughtful look on her face.

Before Y/N could answer, Rabbid Mario beat her to it.

"We could ask you the same about that stone-faced but oddly attractive woman."

Y/N, Rabbid Y/N, and Rabbid Bowser looked at him funny of what he just said while everyone else was confused. Edge was disgusted at how he would think anyone like her differently.

"Spark Hunter. Name's Bedrock, and she's no friend of mine."

"Bowser's no friend of ours either. Does A LOT of kidnapping of Princess Peach. Still... we can't leave him to the Darkmess, can we?" Beep-0 asked.

"No way. Even if he is a villain, he's not that bad. He even helped us defeat the enemies that are a huge threat like Cursa. Plus, leaving him here won't make us look good." Y/N exclaimed, already marching into the Darkmess before anyone could say anything else.

Mario was surprised at how she immediately defended Bowser and curious on what is going between them. Without further delay, everyone went after Y/N as they found themselves in a battlefield where they can see Bowser and Bedrock having a faceoff with the controlled Goombas at her side.

"For all his strength, even the mighty Bowser is helpless in the Darkmess dimension without a Spark-powered weapon!" Beep-0 explained as Y/N watched from behind the big rocks.

"We do have a weapon we can spare - it was designed for Rabbid Mario but proved too heavy for him to wield effectively." Jeanie explained.

"Haha! Can't wield something that's too heavy for you? I thought you're the strong one since you've got those two gauntlets." Rabbid Bowser teased.

Rabbid Mario looked embarrassed as he quickly made an excuse lie.

"N-Not true! It chafed my skin!"

"Suuure it did."

Edge chuckled a little to see how embarrassed Rabbid Mario is while Rabbid Y/N shook her head.

"Bowser!" Y/N called out.

Bowser turned to her, and she gestured him to look to his left, which he turned a little as Jeanie summoned the weapon called the Bowzooka and landed it next to him. Bowser was surprised at the weapon and picked it up and placed it on his shoulder for him to wield, looking a little confused on what it could do. He did a test by firing it towards the cliffside, causing a lot of damages as the smoke was made. Bowser was impressed by this weapon and looked at Y/N, who gave him a smile. He let out a hearty laughter before getting serious and smirking at Bedrock.

Beep-0 looks around after analyzing Bedrock before seeing barrels with Rabbid face warning signs on it as they're covered with autumn leaves. He gets an idea.

"I've got it! Bedrock is too strong for our attacks to cause much damage. Try luring her onto those explosive traps, first!"

The battle zone is a giant circle and Y/N sees 4 Goomba squads, 2 Depleters, and 1 Stooge. Bowser use the Jump Pad, get to the explosives closest to the rest of the group, and then attack the Depleters as he fired it off with his Bowzooka. Y/N use the Team Jump to get near Bowser and help attack the Depleters. Rabbid Bowser came after and help them out as Bowser was surprised to see a Rabbid version of himself as he hammered them away. Edge then dashes through the Stooge near the rest of the group and eliminate it with her Flying Blade.

The heroes made sure to destroy the portals that came out. Mario and Luigi help eliminate any nearby Goombas with Edges attack as they hop onto those Goombas just like old times.

Y/N and Bowser fallback and attack Bedrock with their weapon at the same time. This caused her to jump to perform a ground pound and walk in toward them, not knowing they're luring her towards those bombs as she stands on it. Rabbid Bowser get behind Bowser and attack her again as he throws his hammer right at her face as it flies back to him. She does the ground pound again, only for her to cause an explosion and destroy the platform they were standing on, sending everyone flying back, but it did inflict a lot of damage on her as she lie there on the ground for a moment before getting back up.

Rabbid Peach Team Jump to the Jump Pad to her right and kept doing that until she reaches the other platform. When she arrives there, she shoots Bedrock to lure her towards her as she did. She then dashes through Bedrock, then use her main attack against her with her Triple-Troll. After she did so, Bedrock hit the explosives and send them both flying back. Y/N use the Jump Pad to go towards the other platform with explosives. Bowser sees some enemies nearby and quickly shoots them. She nodded him in thanks. Y/N gestures the rest of the group to follow her to the other explosives while they take down more enemies that appeared from the portal. Bowser then lure Bedrock to the bombs as he shoots her and have her set them off. Now all that's left is the last platform as they lure Bedrock to the final one as Rabbid Y/N shoots her with her beam pistol two times, causing her to bring out her last ground pound, having her set off the bombs. Bowser then collected the fifth purified Darkmess energy crystal as he catches it.

Once Bedrock is defeated, she collapsed on the ground with a grunt. Bowser wiped his snout from the pain he endured. Bedrock placed a hand on her head, looking in pain. Everyone cheered at their victory as Rabbid Mario and Rabbid Luigi did a special fist bump with Bowser laughing heartily and Y/N smiles at him. Rabbid Bowser brings out a hand for a high-five to Rabbid Y/N. She looks at him for a moment before high fiving him. He was surprised and blushed at the contact before she pulled away much to his disappointment. Mario smiled at the victory of defeating Bedrock by working together as a team. Luigi wiped the sweat from his forehead with a relieved sigh.

Their victory was ceased when the ship that's familiar to theirs appeared and hovered over Bedrock from a distance. The hatch from the top of the ship opened to reveal the growing vine with thorns slithers down, which shocked Bowser and others. Edge though had a grim look on her face as she recognized on who's controlling the vine. Bedrock got up quickly and grabbed onto the vine as the ship flew away with her. Bedrock looked back at Edge with a glare, who just gave her a blank stare, much to her shock. Y/N watches on between Edge and Bedrock before calling out the Spark called Screech to go after Bedrock, which he salutes her and flees after her.

Bowser starts raging in anger as he stomps his foot before roaring that his enemy got away with Luigi letting out a disappointed whine. Mario and Y/N glares to where the enemies have gone off to. Later, everyone got back to Town Plaza as Bowser destroyed the Darkmess Tentacle with his claws, which it disappeared instantly from its existence. He then faced the group and crossed his arms.

"WELL, wimps? A 'thank you' would be nice! I did save your lives just now!"

Y/N giggled at his words as she catches him staring at her with a fake look of annoyance.

"Never mind all that. What are you DOING here, Bowser?" Beep-0 sighed.

Bowser punches his hands.

"Roarrr! Looking for Cursa, same as you! It corrupted my army of weak-minded imbeciles and I want them back!"

Jeanie appears and faces Beep-0.

"Beep-0, by allowing Bowser to join us, our mission success rate increases by 11.34756%."

"That's up from...?"

"The estimated probability given to pigs sprouting wings and flying."

"What...?" Y/N questioned Jeanie's statement.

"Bwahaha! That sounds about right! No wonder you're trying to trick me into leading your little wuss brigade!" Bowser said as he laughed.

"Seriously...?" Rabbid Y/N deadpanned.

"Absolutely not! I don't care what the odds are, right Mario and Y/N?"

Mario had a thoughtful look for a moment before making his decision.

"We could use some more help. After all, Bowser did help us with a lot of things we couldn't deal with alone." he said, shocking Beep-0.

"Plus, we could use some muscles such as yourself, Bowser. No offense, Rabbid Bowser." Y/N added.

Rabbid Bowser nodded to her that it's fine.

"BWAHAHA! Don't worry. I promise not to pound you into bits until AFTER I pummel Cursa and rule the galaxy again." Bowser said, grinning.

With Bowser now on their team, they proceed to explore the town as they head down to find a Darkmess Puddle next to the stands that sells food. Rabbid Luigi stands in front of it bravely with determination.

"No one puts delicious desserts in danger while I'M around! I'LL deal with this, PERSONALLY!"

Bowser stands next to Rabbid Luigi, looking pumped up for another fight.

"We're not here for the pie, Rabbid Luigi! Thankfully, Bowser's itching for a fight, too. At least HE'LL take it seriously." Beep-0 reminded before looking sheepish. "Though... Rabbid Luigi - if there ARE any salted honey crisp fritters in there, please bring some back?"

Rabbid Luigi clapped his hands excitedly and nodded. Before Bowser goes into the Darkmess Puddle with Rabbid Luigi, Y/N tapped his shoulder. He turned and immediately gets giddy just seeing her.

"I think you might need this back." she said, handing him his cracked screen phone.

Bowser was surprised that his phone is saved and okay. He takes it and places it inside of his shell.

"Thanks... Little Butterfly." he said quietly without anyone hearing it.

"I'm glad that you're okay. You had me worried there."

"Ha! You're talking to the King of the Koopas! I think I can handle it just fine! But it's cute that you worry about me."

Bowser smiled and gave her a pat on her the head, making Y/N blush.

"Be careful out there."

"Always will."

With that, he and Rabbid Luigi head into the puddle, leaving her to wait for their return along with the heroes. Though this interaction between Y/N and Bowser went unnoticed by Mario as he starts to look suspicious even more. Rabbid Peach though was grinning as she looks at her phone where it showed pictures of Y/N and Bowser. She wonders if they're together so that she could post them on social media for the world to see.
