"Barbecueeeee!" I heard Bennett sing. Leo never too far away from Bennett watched amusingly as his mate span and danced down the garden path towards us. Caspian and I were relaxing outside in the early morning sun peacefully talking before Bennett interrupted.

"Come on Jojo, we can't let this weather go to waste let's have a barbecue later!"

"Only if you help me cook it this time?" I replied.

"Sure, sure, do you remember once when you forgot you were cooking and burnt everything?"

"Yeah," I laughed. "That was mainly your fault though; you got too drunk to stand so I had to look after you whilst doing all the food."

"Good times, good times." Bennett sighed looking up to the cloudless sky.

"And how much do you remember?"

"Umm, none." Bennett giggled. I looked at Leo who was watching Bennett so lovingly. He watched his every step making sure he was completely safe and happy.

"Are you going to get the food, or will I?"

"You? I can clean the barbecue," He suggested. "Actually Leo can do it." He flashed a hopeful smile towards Leo.

"What is a barbecue?" Caspian asked sitting up and pulling me between his legs.

"Honestly," Bennett shook his head in mock disappointment. "Leo didn't know either, you Mer people."

"Bennett, they live in water." I laughed as the look of realization crossed his face.

"Oh yeah, oops I forgot," He smiled. "Anyway, write down what we need." He said passing me a notepad and pen.

"Leo, why is it glowing like that?" I had just entered the kitchen after showering to see Leo with the crystal in his hands, examining it closely. His dark eyebrows furrowed and his violet eyes were squinted whilst he checked each side.

"I don't know but I've felt drawn to it all morning, I think someone's trying to contact us." Leomaris held the light blue crystal in his hand turning it slowly which making it sparkle in the light. My eyes never left it as I walked towards Leo feeling a pull like a fly to a light.

"Can I touch it?" I asked hopefully.

"Uh, I suppose."

Hesitantly I reached out my hand and let my fingers slide over the cold, smooth surface. I was so memorized by it I didn't notice the small zaps of energy that sparked from my bracelet Caspian had made for me when we first met, traveling down my hand and into the crystal.

"Uh Jonah..." I heard Leomaris say warningly but it only registered as background noise.

The crystal and my bracelet combined were generating only what I could only describe as a force field of electricity. My whole mind had opened and my attention and focus was solely on the crystal I now held in my hands. I blanked out any voices or electricity crackles that sounded from around me. The crystal reached scorching temperatures but seemed to have no effect on my hands which welcomed the heat. My eyes burned and colours of blue, green, purple and gold danced in a circle around my hands. I felt powerful and strong as I let the energy seep through my veins sparking every nerve into action. My head pounded and my body now felt weak. I can't remember breathing or moving as I stood in a daze staring at the crystal. It was almost like I forgot who I was, just a mindless empty shell of machinery with electricity charging through its wires. I felt my brain begin to slow and shut down with the last bit of energy that seeped through me. The crystal began to cool down and the colours became less vibrant and were absorbed back into the crystal. I heard noises all around me but never having enough energy to reply or process what was happening. It was like everything in my body had stopped working but all my energy and all of the energy I had just absorbed went to a different place. I could feel it but it made my body weak at the same time.

One sound I could muster up enough strength to focus on was one from my mate. Caspian. I fought with myself mentally to try and come back around. I tried so hard to focus on his voice, his touch, his love and his warmth all radiating into me. I felt our bond connecting us and pulling me further out of the darkness and back into reality.

Wanting to comfort him I attempted to move again but only to see dots before my eyes before I turned away from everyone and threw up.

Relaxing music, no, just one song was all I could hear. I was very warm and cosy wrapped up in the arms of Caspian. I had memorised his touch now, it was embedded in my mind and no one could come close to make me feel like he did. I knew it was him by his scent, body shape, breathing pattern, position, I could go on. The melody that lulled me in and out of consciousness was so peaceful but sad at the same time. I shifted slightly in Caspian's arms feeling deep vibrations in sync to the music. Then the realisation hit me, it was Caspian.

"Casp..." I whispered. The beautiful tune stopped abruptly as I was gently turned on my back. Caspian hovered over me and a look of pure relief crossed his face. His once dark, sad, blue eyes were eaten away by the familiar light blue and gold.

"Thank you Aphrodite," Caspian murmured. He still looked completely shocked before I called his name again and he wiped the faraway look off his face and started bombarding me with questions. "Jonah, are you hurt at all, can you remember what happened, are you okay?!"

"Mmm, I remember and I'm okay too." I mumbled.

"I was so worried kitten," He whispered trailing his thumb over my full pink lips. "I couldn't stop it, I-I didn't know what to do."

"Casp, it doesn't matter now it wasn't your fault, I'm okay." I nodded starting to wake up more.

"I'm so sorry kitten, I love you so much.""I love you too Casp." "Are you hungry at all? Bennett has started on the barbecue."

"He went shopping? How long was I asleep for?"

"About three hours kitten, I'll go and tell him to make you some will you be okay on your own for a second?"

"Yeah fine, I'll be out in a moment." Caspian kissed my forehead then left the bed to go and talk to Bennett.

Unwillingly, I rose from my warm bed and slowly walked to the bathroom. I used the toilet and brushed my teeth before dragging a comb through my unruly light coloured hair. All that was running through my mind was the crystal incident. Goose bumps appeared on my arms thinking about it. I twirled the seaweed bracelet around my wrist wondering if Caspian was anything to do with it since he had made me the bracelet one of the first times we had met. I reached into a cabinet to get my face wash to wake me up a bit more when my hand brushed against the metal handle giving me an electric shock. Something snapped and I found myself in the same daze as earlier.

"Prince Jonah there isnt time," I heard a voice say quietly. "You have to warn-"

"Jonah?" Caspian's voice broke me free of the trance. The energy left me once again and I felt slightly light headed but not anything near as bad as last time.

"Y-Yeah?" I replied turning around to face him. I had to mask my face as my emotions and thoughts were going into over drive at what I thought I just heard.

"Foods ready, are you okay?"

"Uhh, yeah fine, um, just hungry." I lied.

Caspian smiled and picked me up bridal style before walking outside into the sun where Leo and Bennett were just finishing up with cooking. Caspian kissed and licked at my mark making me shiver and bat him away slightly as I didn't want to be getting aroused here. I heard his deep chuckle and his blue and gold eyes sparkled with mischief. I didn't want to dwell on what had just happened so kept quiet and pushed all thoughts to the back of my mind. Right now all I wanted to do was relax in the sun with Caspian, Bennett and Leo talking about normal things and none of me collapsing shit.

Lunch was great thanks to Bennett. He did burgers, sausages and fish mainly for the brothers with lots of salad, chips and little bits like that. He fussed over me a lot but I assured him I was fine. Everyone kept bringing up the incident but I either brushed them off or changed the subject. In the end I think they understood I wasn't ready to talk about it. Caspian was even more affectionate than usual, every chance he got he was nipping at my mark or running his hands all over me and cuddling me close. I wasn't complaining though, I think what had happened scared him.
