Marichat May Day 7: Prompt: Roommates
"Princess, how is this gonna work?"
Marinette shrugged. "I don't know yet. All I know is that I'm lonely and I need a roommate. Alya is all the way in America for college and I need a friend. I have decided that you are that friend that will live with me."
Chat closed his eyes and sighed. "Marinette. I am a superhero. You are a civilian. How can we live together? I can't stay in this suit forever."
"So don't."
"What?"
"Tell me who you are and then we can live together."
Chat was incredulous. Was she serious? No, she didn't mean that. Did she? "Ha, ha, Princess. Very funny. I'm sure you have other friends that would be more than happy to be roommates with you."
Marinette pouted. "But you're my best friend. Besides, the only "friends" that I have are the ones that I usually team up with for projects. That's it. We don't hang out after school, we don't eat lunch together, we just know that we can rely on each other for homework and stuff."
"Ladybug will kill me if I tell you who I am."
"No, she won't."
Chat raised an eyebrow. "Really, now? And what makes you think that?"
Marinette shrugged again. "I'm on good terms with her. She's cool with it."
"How good are those terms?"
Marinette grinned. "We're so close, we're practically the same person."
"I don't know..."
Marinette's grin got bigger. "You're hesitating! You do want to live with me!"
"Princess, it's dangerous."
"I like a little danger."
Chat Noir shook his head. "Marinette, be reasonable."
"I am being reasonable! I know how to take care of myself. You come to visit me almost every day so you practically live here already. Plus, no one has taken me for ransom or anything like that so it's perfectly safe." Marinette whipped out her best baby-doll eyes. "Please, Kitty?"
Chat Noir groaned. She knew that her baby-doll eyes were his weakness. Second only to croissants. "Ugh. You're insufferable. Fine. I'll be your roommate."
Marinette screamed in delight and hugged Chat. "Yay! Oh, this'll be so fun! Now that that's out of the way, tell me who you are."
Chat rolled his eyes and shrugged. "Why not? I've already gone this far. Claws in."
Marinette's eyes widened. "Huh."
"What?"
"Y'know, if I couldn't get Chat to be my roommate, I would've asked you next."
"You decided that the best course of action was to ask a superhero then a civilian to be your roommate?"
"Marinette loves to live on the wild side," said a high-pitched voice behind Adrien.
Adrien turned around. "I-is that a kwami?"
"Oh, yeah. I'm Ladybug."
