"Marinette?"

"Can I ask you something?"

Marinette stopped her sewing. "Of course."

Chat scratched the back of his neck sheepishly. "Uh..So...you're parents are fine with me coming over and hanging out with you, right?"

Marinette laughed. "Chat. Maman and Papa are more than fine with you hanging out. They love you. They even asked you to call them Sabine and Tom for croissant's sake! Even Alya hasn't gotten that privilege yet!"

"Ha...right."

Marinette furrowed her eyebrows. "What's wrong?"

"Well...Actually, it's really stupid. I'll get through it. Never mind."

"Kitty..."

"What?"

"What's going on?"

"I told you—"

"Chat, I swear to the god of baking, if you don't tell me what's going on, I will eat a plate of cookies in front of you and not share any of them."

Chat Noir gulped. "Uh...well..T-things aren't that great at home right now. I don't want to go too deep into it. But I...I n-need a place to stay for a while."

Marinette's eyes softened. "Chat, of course you can stay with us. Maman and Papa would be so happy to adopt you. You're practically family already."

"Y-you don't need to adopt me. I'll be sure to stay only a few days."

"You can stay as long as you need." Marinette's eyes lit up. "This'll be so fun. We'll be roommates! I have so many plans for us. Let's go tell Maman and Papa!"

Marinette seized Chat Noir's clawed hand and dragged him downstairs. "Maman! Papa! Chat here needs a place to stay for a bit."

Sabine and Tom stopped what they were doing and grinned. "Of course, Son!" Tom bellowed. "You're welcome to stay with us Dupain-Chengs as long as you need."

"You can stay for forever if you want dear," Sabine said.

Chat Noir smiled. "Thanks, you guys. You're the best family ever."

Marinette hugged her friend. "Kitty, we are your family."
