Adrien's POV

It's been a whole week since I found out that I could be Chat Noir at night. Mari would retire to bed early waiting for me. Plagg would change me back when the sun set.

Tonight Mari and I were laying outside on a blanket looking at the stars.

"Hey Chat?" Resting her head on her elbow she looked at me. "Any luck finding Adrien yet?"

"Not yet princess but I think I have found some leads to figuring out where he went" She laid back down sighing.

I held her hand lightly as we both still looked up.

"Chat do you have feelings for Ladybug. Like... do you love her? "I was taken back by the question.

"I do but she's not like you my purrincess" I purred a little looking at her.

"What does that mean?" She looked at me confused.

You are her m'lady...

"Ladybug is so strong and independent, she can protect herself from the evil." I looked back at the sky. "You're special to me Marinette because I can protect you"

"You're so cute Chat" She laughed a little. "I can see why you two make such a good team"

After Mari fell asleep I quickly carried her to her bed before switching back into cat form. Curling up by her I also fell asleep.

I really am happy here with you Mari.

Marinette woke up in a rush getting ready for school. She was busy feeding Tikki when I jumped into her school bag. Not paying any attention she zipped me up in her bag running down and out the bakery.

"Bye mom bye Papa" She ran across the street, bouncing me around in the bag.

I could hear her talking with Alya on her way into school and dropping her bag on the floor by her seat.

"Girl did you hear about how they still haven't found any traces of Adrien" She sounded saddened, probably more for Marinette than for me.

"Yah I did" She said back sadly.

The door to the classroom slammed again as I unzipped Mari's bag a little. Chloe made her way to her seat laughing a little.

"He probably ran away with some girl" Chloe laughed with Sabrina.

"Shut it Chloe" Mari sounded pissed and stood.

"Excuse me?!" Chloe was standing now. "Do you even know who you're addressing with that tone?!"

Before a cat fight would break out I lunged out of Marinette's bag going after Chloe. Kids yelled, Chloe screamed and our teacher stared to freak out. Marinette grabbed me and held me in her arms.

"Chat..." She was worried and sad.

"Marinette" Ms. Mendeleiev yelled. "Go to see Mr. Damocles now!"

Marinette's POV

I had gotten suspended for three day for bringing an animal to school. Chloe was not hurt thank god in all that mess. Papa, who had to come and get me, heard that Chat had accidently snuck into my bag and was frightened by Chloe's yelling. He just sighed and sent me to my room. I was glad that Chat had broken Chloe and me up before things went down the wrong direction.

I sat on my bed with Chat, brushing his fur into place.

"Thank you Chat" he looked up at me, his green eyes meeting mine. "Chloe doesn't know anything. Adrien will come back and be safe"

Chat laid on my stomach purring. Tikki was fast asleep on my shoulder before a piercing scream came from the streets below. I got up and saw a metal police officer walking down the street.

"Marinette" Tikki flew by me.

"Tikki spots on!" I smiled seeing the setting sun.

Chat Noir would come soon.
