Ship: Plasma (Jay x Kai)

"Not again!" Jay groans, banging against the door of the closet.

As Jay murmurs under his breath, Kai's eyes are darting around the room, his eyes wide in fear. Jay turns to him. Kai can't hear him, the walls slowly closing around him.

"Koala?"

Kai's head snaps up to look at Jay, his eyes wide. Jay's eyes soften and he walks over, grabbing Kai's hands. Kai whimpers quietly.

"Are you claustrophobic?"

Kai nods shakily, his eyes darting around the room. Jay pulls him into his chest, rubbing circles on his back.

"Easy...it's gonna be okay."

Sinking onto the floor, Jay pulls Kai onto his lap and holds him. Kai squeezes Jay's hands, leaning into him before hiding his head in Jay's chest. Jay keeps Kai close to him.

"I gotcha."

"J-J-Jay," Kai stutters out, his whole body shaking.

Three am, Kai's body forced him to wake up. The walls are all around him, only enough room for him and Jay in there. Kai clings onto Jay's shirt and tugs, trying desperately to wake Jay up.

"Honey?"

Kai jolts slightly and looks up. Jay's tired eyes are looking down at him, his face full of concern. Kai whimpers and leans into him.

"C-Can't breathe."

"You can hon. You can I promise."

Resting Kai's head above his heart, Jay takes deep, slow breaths. Kai bites his thumb and shakily follows, a death grip on Jay's hands. Kai's breath slowly evens out. Very slowly. Kai's eyes close and blink open again. The walls aren't tightly around them anymore.

"G-Gone?"

"What's gone?"

"The w-walls."

"They're not around you...well, not extremely close. I promise you're okay."

Kai yawns. Jay smiles and rocks him, gently singing to him.

Kai's asleep instantly.
