Day 14 | Kashaw
Yes. Yes these are late. But I will get them all out by the 30th because I really want to complete this properly!

Day 14: Do a little world building- but write it from the perspective of a character in the series who hates the world he is in.
Kashaw
The cold, bitter wind blew through the heavy wooden door that he held open. It let in thick gusts of air and lots of snow.
"Hey Kash, close the door! It's cold enough in here as it is!" The female tiefling called out to him. He grumbled, slamming the door closed.
Wasn't it bad enough that they were in the library instead of killing things and getting money? No, they had to stay in here to figure out what in the world these dragons were doing trying to take over the major cities.
He shook the snow from his hair and stomped his way over to the pile of books on the table. He shrugged off his cloak before picking up the first book on the pile.
He couldn't figure out for the life of him in that moment why they were reading anything. He hated this world and everything it represented. There were not many things that made him happy. He lived in a place where he could get married to an evil goddess-wannabe spirit who would most likely destroy everyone that he loved. There were very few reasons why he was putting his own short-lived life on the line for the world, and Zhara was one of them. The other reason was Vox Mochina, who showed him some of the joy that the world still held.
As he flipped through the book, bored, he stopped on a hastily drawn sketch of a beholder. Just thinking about the one they had barely killed the other day sent a shiver down his spine. Any one of them could have died. ANY of them could have just been lost. And they had! Of course, that wasn't from the beholder, but it was still dangerous. The beholder, after all, had damaged her enough for a little curse to kill her - where it hadn't even killed her weak bear. Who wanted to live in a world where people just died all the time?
Becoming a cleric was the natural choice- not just because of his ... wife but because he could make the difference for himself and people who actually had a chance to live. That was why he still traveled around in this hellish world, still worked tirelessly to drag his sorry behind around saving mostly ungrateful people that he'd never see again. Because as much as he hated it, there were some people in the world that he would always risk his own life for.
