Crookedstar is a huge light brown tabby tom with green eyes and a twisted jaw.

Crookedstar was the leader of RiverClan before Leopardstar. As a kit, he was originally named Stormkit but after he broke his jaw, his mother requested that his name be changed to Crookedkit. Rainflower then disowned him and favored his brother, Oakkit. Crookedkit apprenticed was to Cedarpelt as Crookedpaw moons late, and also met Mapleshade, who he believed was from StarClan. Mapleshade promised to make him a great warrior one day if he promised to put his Clan above everything else. Crookedpaw eventually became a warrior named Crookedjaw, and later succeeded his father, Shellheart, as Deputy. Crookedjaw broke off his relationship with Mapleshade when she revealed she was from the Dark Forest. However, Mapleshade promised to continue to ruin his life like his kin did to her many moons ago.

Crookedjaw succeeded Hailstar  as leader as Crookedstar, and became mates  with his childhood friend, Willowbreeze. She gave birth to three kits: Willowkit, Minnowkit, and Silverkit. Unfortunately, Willowbreeze, Willowkit, and Minnowkit died from greencough, and Crookedstar raised Silverkit alone. Moons later, Silverstream died giving birth to Stormkit and Featherkit. Mapleshade appeared, approaching her final vengeance, but Crookedstar insisted she could no longer hurt him. Crookedstar, after a lifetime defined by loss and persistence, succumbed to greencough and joined StarClan, and was reunited with his family.
