I woke yawning as sun flittered through the nursery entrance, I saw my mother grooming herself not far off outside. I padded outside, I had to squint in order to let my eyes adjust. I sighed as I was the only kit in Thunderclan which meant no one to play with, I wished my brother had lived but he was born dead. I padded to go eat some fresh kill, Viperstar came over.
"You must be really hungry to try to eat a squirrel," Viperstar said a purr hinting in his voice, I flattened my ears embarrassed.
"Y-yeah I haven't eaten since yesterday," I squeaked, he purred.
"You really do look like your mother only no white," Viperstar said.
"Well my daddy is a solid colour," I said confused as to why her brought up my colouring, he shook his head.
"Go on now take your kill and share with your mother," Viperstar said, I dragged the squirrel into the nursery. Daw flare looked at me from her grooming, she began to purr.
"Got enough there Maplekit," Dawnflare purred, I dropped the squirrel.
"I want to share it with you mamma," I said, she let out another purr.
"That kit will be a strong loyal warrior let me tell you that Dawnflare," Sparrowfoot said purring, Dawnflare took a bite of the squirrel. I ate my fill and left my mother to finish it, I noticed Foxflare coming through the entrance. I snuck behind him, I leaped onto his back and he let out a purr.
"Oh no thunderclans greatest warrior has got me," Foxflare purred, I giggled.
"Hehe you should have never attacked my clan," I say giggling, Sparrowfoot came over.
"Ok ok break it up you two Foxflare I need you on a border patrol," Sparrowfoot said, I jumped of Foxflare as he went to get more cats. Sparrowfoot glared at me, she leant down and whispered into my ear.
"Look Maplekit Foxflare may be your uncle but be aware he will be my mate got it, if you try to stop me and him from being together you watch out," Sparrowfoot hissed into my ear, I was shaking when she padded away. I bolted back to the nursery too scared incase she hurt me, I slowly drifted off to sleep.
