So my chapter titles have been rather vague. I'm not going to change it so just live with it.
May
Cali snapped a spark twig, and sent it into the air, the wind pushing it to spark. "What's that do?" Alen asked her and she looked at Kya, who was in her arms then sighed. "I'm calling a griffin, they usually travel in large packs, so we'll be getting 1 griffin per original familiar. I'm going with Kya." While we waited, I racked my brain for books about 'fictional things' like dragons. Ethereal wasn't the same as space, ethereal dragons could be any element. And that's about a minutes worth of thinking.
The griffins were huge. Not these strange creatures that are around the size of a horse. No, humans got their own fantasy creatures wrong. The griffins' feathers were dark coloured, and their wings roughly matched their size. I decided now was the time to talk to Ikasi. 'You said you were an ethereal dragon. Ethereal dragons are dragons without bodies, so they are just dragon souls... how exactly are you an ethereal dragon?' She didn't take long to respond.
'I am part ethereal, i can inhabit living things, but i need to keep some part of me outside of the body I inhabit. Allow me to demonstrate.' She flew to me, and disappeared, showing only purplish black feathered wings. Her wings weren't connected to me, instead they just hovered near my back. Ikasi then showed an outline of pale, translucent purple connecting her wings to me. 'The purple outline is what would be there, go ahead, swipe your arm through it' sure enough, my hand glided through as though it wasn't there. 'I can also make more of myself visible and actually there,' she added the rest of her wings. 'I can add my tail, head... Anything!'
A few hours passed, and we reached a sacred site, where all the elements were linked. "Ikasi, here you should be able to see the different planets. We just need a name of a planet." I thought hard, i had an idea, it was stupid, but an idea either way. "Try Earth." Everyone looked at me confused. "Look, we all saw the footage of earth exploding, but i'm testing the limits." I clarified.
Ikasi stared at me. "What are you talking about? Where are you getting your information?" She eyed me suspiciously, her brown eyes digging deep into my brain before she stepped into my body, revealing her wings, tail and head. "We had a satellite watching Earth, I barely know anything about it, but the earth exploding was the most well known thing for a year..." I didn't need to say more. On the second year, every was talking about earth, then the unexpected bloodshed of 4.
None of us expected what happened next.
"Earth is alive."
