Fast forward a few months, and the school added magic control as a class. When you turn 12, you get the choice if you want a power or not.

  She was waiting patiently during the class. All Familiars were kept in the training yard, sorted in element. All she could think of was Chrys in a pen with wolves and a couple deer. The luck dragon had indeed hatched first, and Josa non-stop bragged the whole day. Orchia was apparently the most common luck dragon, as said by Ye Ol' wise Bear, though luck dragons were extremely hard to find. Josa couldn't care less, because she won. Her wonderful wingless dragon floated above all of the common air Coatl. Turns out being a gemstone guardian gives us the strongest Familiars. And this hack works, avoiding questions by scratching down notes. Damn she loved science. "What does the Bear Familiar do?" Was the next question. Her hand shot up like a rocket.
  The bear familiar is of the earth element Chrys told her, and May mimicked her. It has the ability of surprise, while also being the strongest earth element familiar. The bear creates fast bonds with it's Partner, and grants them the ability to hear and smell better than any human.

  "Correct, you always know when it comes to earth." Then she was saved by the lunch bell. They are allowed to retrieve our familiars during lunch.

  Just as she was close enough for Chrys to teleport to her, Brad comes and bumps into her shoulder, "teacher's pet!" He jeers. The rest of his gang surround me. "What's the Orange eyed freak doing here?" He snickers. The gang erupts into laughter. "Just a few meters from here, and you can summon your stupid deer! We're going to make sure that doesn't happen."
  May kept Chrys being her Familiar quite secretive. "My familiar is a wolf, mind you, and he doesn't like to be yelled at." I lied, referring to the most aggressive wolf.
  Do you need me? Chrys asked.
  Not now, I got em. The games might go on. Chrys ran to the edge of the cage, making her " to summon. The bullies pushed on shouting things like orphan and idiot at her. She played on with the act. Until someone mentioned her friends. Thats when she snapped. She summoned Chrys, and she flung the Orange-Eyed girl on her back as they approached Brad the brat. He whimpered like a pup. "I-I you- your the element guardian! I'm so sorry I didn't-" he was cut off my a low growl. In a flash, May's  friends and their familiars in a line, all glaring from their mounts. Except Kya, because Phoenixes can't be mounted. Husk bat-walked up to Brad. Ethan pulled Brad up to his face, and whispered something in his ear. Brad looked to May and shivered.

  They walked off on their mounts, Evia and Kya sharing Orchia. Everyone turned and stared. They hadn't told anyone about being Gem Guardians, and it seemed no one knew. Fun.

  Then they had an earth study project in history. We got to pick our study groups and which country they wanted to study. The group was split into 3. Evia and May wanted to do Ecuador so badly, but Alenor and crispy cheesecake Kya voiced an opinion for Finland. Josa and Ethan voted for their homeland, Australia. It took a whole movie to convince the group of an option, Scotland.

I should have gone with Ecuador, because I studied it. Also, the 3 choices, Ecuador, finland and Aus were chosen because of the statistics, 33.3333% of people reading at the time of writing were shown in those 3 countries, so I made the book just slightly longer!

  They decided the study could wait, so they went home. May decided to continue her book on Wattpad, wondering about the stats. When i found out the gender of my viewers, i flipped. My book was written by a 16 year old. A 16 year old female who doesn't have many male friends, so naturally, when i found more than half of my readers are male, i was flipping in my seat. But low and behold, it doesn't matter if it doesn't matter, who cares? Not me. I'll just sit back and write.
