Grace took great care of me, and even defended me. When hydro soldiers came to find who was saved that night, I took on a new Identity. "Who are you? State your name, element and species." The first one said.
"Genya. Earth mage." I responded, using one of the names from my favourite book and show, Shadow and Bone (free advertisement). "State your magic level."
"Well, I like to think of myself as a high ranking scholar, but I am a low level amateur. Couldn't summon plants if my life depended on it." I used Genya's personality, too. "Test her." That was when I slid my hand on a rock, bringing pain to my body. They stuck a needle in my finger, and I didn't bring the lonely mushroom to the damp cave. "She's not lying. Apologies, m'ladies." He bowed, and the two soldiers left.
"Didn't know Alen's lot were such gentlemen. The real god couldn't be kind if his life depended on it." I joked.
"How do you know his personality?" Grace asked curiously, and I had to find a believable answer.
"Earthman's talk. Rumours, really. There isn't much we know about any of the gods but our own, except we know that the Darkling has a thing for Maybell." The darkling was a villain in Shadow and Bone, but who could blame me? 'Darkling' sounds like 'darling'. And I wasn't wrong, Ethan was a terrible romantic. "Right, I wouldn't really know, I've never really been up there." I just wanted to cuddle her. She was, surprisingly, my height.

"Ever had ice cream before?" I asked as I prepared to embark on an adventure. I knew the best place for ice cream, but I needed to keep my disguise. "Oh, and I'm Genya Safin, I guess. She's a Character from one of my favourite shows." I kinda hated that I'd have to hide behind not 1 but 2 fake names. I'm Maybell Ganis, hiding behind Cathrin, who is hiding behind Genya Safin. Cath doesn't even have a last name.

The sign had read 'Food of the Gods ice creamery.' "You ready for you life to have meaning?" I asked as we walked in. I had a look at the wild variety of ice creams. Only 2 could sing to me. I pulled out the wallet of Mora, and decided not to treat myself today. Dark chocolate or Moonash berry? Grâce ordered first. "I'll have the Moonash, Please." Good choice. I couldn't see who was serving the ice cream, until they finished with Grace. It was Ethan. They hid their surprise as they asked me what I wanted. I got dark Chocolate, and 2 coffees. "May I have a name for your order?" They gave me a subtle wink. "Genya." I smiled, and they got the idea, that I was in fact, Genya Safin. "Alright, Genya, just wait a sec and I'll get your coffees." I waited with Grace, who was standing and eating her ice cream. "Bite it." She did. She took the bait. She bit ice cream. "Ummm, I don't think you're meant to bite it."
"I know. Rookie mistake, listening to me." I laughed.
"Genya, 2 coffees?" Ethan had my order. I went to go grab it. "Thank you." I smiled, thanking them for the food, and protecting me. "Ok, Genya Safin, where to next?" The definite answer was the Dendro Park.

"What's better than rock climbing and swinging on vines? Riding on a Dendro floating slime through a Dendro course, using vines to climb up steep cliffs." I joked as I twirled around the open course. "Oh look! Fire fried pizza! I am starving, are you?" I skipped to victory. A beautiful golden brown pizza, with thick crust, and melty cheese. With a topping of salami and capsicum. Delicious. Also Kya worked some shifts there so I was wondering if I could assure her I was ok.
The pizzeria was packed, and the only seats were outside. Kya was working there. "Hi, can we have 1 meat lovers?" I asked the beautiful young woman who was taking the orders. "That's all?" She confirmed, and I nodded. Grace went to look at the view. "I'll get us a table." I told her, and went outside. I closed my eyes briefly, before I heard a click, and felt the collar rest on my neck. "It was fun while it lasted." I opened my eyes, and assessed the situation. Alenor had me in his grasp. "Adios, freedom." I might have seemed happy. Grace came running out, and shot water at my attackers, and I sighed. "Go inside, find the cute girl at the counter, tell her Cath is in trouble." I gave her the signal to runaway. I was dragged to my feet, and my hands were cuffed, the chain connecting to my collar. Kya came running out, and she might have burst into flame. "Leave her." She growled.
"Sorry M'am, strict orders from the general. Only person changing my mind is a god." He made a remark. He was trying to give the 'I aint giving up' impression, but Kya thought I was worth her cover. "Oh, only to a god, you say? Then leave her. Now." She shifted, and her brown eyes lit to a dark red. The soldier dropped me, and bowed. "Miss Kya, I'll leave the traitor to you." He shoved me forward, and I fell against Grace. My neck had a huge lump of weight. Kya took off the restraints, and hugged me. "Umm, sorry to butt in, but why exactly, are you wanted?" Grace asked, and I brought my list of reasons in my head. "Nearly killed my bestie's mate, he was awful. Escaped Alenor's custody... Oh, and I brought back a dead mouse." I lied about the mouse part, because a extremely good mage could bring back small rodents. I saw another question form on her lips. "I quit working at the pizzeria a couple months ago." I had to get a few things in line. "Grace... it's been fun, but I don't want to bring you any trouble. Bite some ice cream for me." I left her one last laugh. "I'll have to disrespect your parting request." She laughed with me, and I hugged her.
"May!" Ethan blew my cover as they jumped on to me. "You could have died! You are an IDIOT!"
"Did you just... did they just call you 'May'?" She asked. No recovering from this one. I punched Ethan, and they lost focus, and dropped their fake arm, revealing their identity. "Ethan, you're the idiot. I'd be surprised if Orchia didn't hear you." I pouted, and made my first attempt at shifting since I tried to kill Mian. "Kya... when did we plan on cutting me from my shift?"
