And that's what we did, when we flashes back, we were in the centre of camp on a large stage, lights flashed and a horn sounded, confetti was shot, but I couldn't even see. The light was blinding, the sound was unbearable, people were cheering, how could they cheer when hundreds of demigods are dead? I blinked repeatedly and looked around more, taking a moment to adjust.
"Welcome the winner of this centuries games!" Ares said into a microphone, I saw the gods all standing front row, they were probably the loudest, they didn't care about their kids, only some seemed down, such as Apollo, Hermes and Hestia. "Anything you'd like to say to the crowd?" Ares offered, it took me a moment, but I nodded, I was in a daze. This was so overwhelming, I felt like I couldn't breath.
"Fuck you all." I said blankly. "We aren't toys that fight for you, we aren't toys that you can make fight against each other for your own pitiful entertainment when you can't get into anyone's pants." I snarled into the microphone, handing it back to Ares before storming into my cabin, slamming the door. That's when I made my marks for each person. I was angry. That's when I caught my reflection, a framed photograph of me and my friends, well over a month ago. A month ago was normal, 3 weeks ago was not. That's when there was a knock on my door.
"Go away!" I shouted angrily, but whoever it was didn't care, the door creaked open, and I grabbed riptide, I wouldn't hesitate if I was angry. "I said go away!" I growled, but that's when I saw who it was. Riptide clattered against the floor, it was her. "How, how are you alive?" I asked Maddy, who was showered now, other than a few cuts, she was fine, clean, in a skirt and crop top, like nothing had happened.
"I came back, we all did. None of us are actually dead." She smiled, hugging me. That's when I broke into sobs, I hugged her tightly, this was all I had right now, I felt torn and destroyed.
"I'm a killer, I can't live like this. I lost you and I went crazy, I couldn't see, I couldn't hear, but people were being killed by me but I couldn't stop. They kept falling." I sobbed, hugging her tighter.
"Hey, it's not your fault. How about you take a shower, and we'll talk after, okay?" She asked, and I nodded, heading into my bathroom, and I stared at myself. I was covered in blood, and all I could see was a monster. I couldn't live like this anymore. They might be able to, but I can't. I turned on the shower, letting the steam fill up the room. I opened the mirror, grabbing all the pills I could find. I hopped into the shower fully clothed, and I sighed in relief. My clothes hugged my skin tightly, I could see the blood roll off my body, clumps of dirt also fell. I ran my fingers through my hair and grabbed shampoo, scrubbing like there was tomorrow. At least if I die, I won't be dirty.
I sat on the ground, pouring the pills into my hand and quickly threw them into my mouth. I'll be gone, I can restart, never live this life.

And that was the end of the story for Perseus Jackson. He passed from a drug overdose by himself in the shower. Maddy had waited for 40 minutes before checking up on him, and finding him unconscious, but by the same Maddy got help, it was to late. He was dead.
"These games should be banned!" Maddy screamed at Ares, who looked surprised. The hero who had faced so much had faced his last battle. No one knew who won in the end, it seemed like there was no winner.
"He shouldn't have signed up." Ares said truthfully, he shouldn't have, but he had saved someone from suffering the same fate as many of the others. Instability, insanity. Everyone had came back, but whatever stability and peace of mind they went into there with didn't come back. They were all jumpy, scared, traumatized from dying just to wake up in their beds.
"He only signed up because his bitch of a girlfriend would have if he didn't! Her told him to if he didn't want her to do it, and with his fatal flaw he did!" Maddy argued angrily. Tears streamed down her face. "Stupid children of Athena don't know when to stop searching for answers when they shouldn't want to know! Now you've actually killed the hero of Olympus!"
"This is the last game, Ares." Zeus said, causing Ares to glare, but nod regardless. "Apologies, daughter of Aphrodite," Zeus frowned, flashing away, all the gods did, except Poseidon, who had tears streaming down his face. Although his son proved the strongest, he still lost him at the end of the day. Percy had fought the last month for nothing
