Next Day
At Hospital

Nandini went to meet Manik. Her hands were shivering to touch the knob. It's been three years since she saw him. Lots of things were unspoken, lots of emotions were not explained. He was in pain but she wasn't happy either.
Finally she opened the door and found him lying on the bed staring at the ceiling blankly. He looked so thin and pale.

Nandini:- (whispered) Manik....

Manik immediately looked at her. Since when he gained consciousness his eyes were searching for her only.
Nandini slowly went to the bed and sat beside him.

Nandini:- How are you now?

Manik:- Does it even matter?

Nandini's eyes got teary. He hates her and it's clearly showing.

Nandini:- Aryaman tried to kill you once and then we got to know that you were innocent. That day he mixed drugs in your drink. I am sorry Manik. Please forgive me.

Manik:- Can you forgive me for whatever I did to you?

Nandini:- I have forgiven you already.

Manik:- I also forgave you. Can I request you something?

Nandini:- Yeah sure.

Manik:- Never show me your face again.

Nandini:- (shocked) Manik....

Manik:- I hate you Nandini, I hate you from the bottom of my heart.

Tears were rolling down from her eyes. The person she loves the most now hates her the most.

Nandini:- Okay as you say. I will never show my face to you.

Saying this Nandini left there and Manik started laughing like a psycho.

Manik:- (smirked) "Game is on.".

After a few days Manik got discharged from the hospital. Now he was focusing on his therapy but still not talking to anyone without necessity. Abhi always had doubts about him as he was noticing his changed behavior. He was never this quiet and calm person before. Something is definitely wrong with him, but what?
After the therapist left Manik was trying to walk without any support when he was about to fall but someone held him tightly and made him sit on the couch.

Manik:- (shocked) You here?

Nandini:- Actually I came to meet Raj Uncle. We need to discuss something about today's meeting. But Mank why are you walking around without any support? You could have fallen down and hurt yourself.

Manik:- (confused) Wait a minute. Meeting? What meeting?

Nandini:- After graduation I started working at Malhotra Industry.

Manik:- Oh okay.

Nandini:- I am sorry. I thought you would be in your room so we won't meet, but....

Manik:- It's okay.

Manik called some butlers and went to his room taking their help. After the discussion Nandini was about to leave the house when she heard glass breaking sounds coming from Manik's room and she immediately went there.

Meanwhile
In Manik's room

Manik took a glass from the bedside desk and dropped it on the floor willingly. Hearing glass breaking sounds Nandini immediately came to his room and saw Manik pouting sadly.

Manik:- Nandini, see na this glass slipped from my hands accidentally and broke into pieces. Can you call someone to clean it?

Nandini:- All servants are off duty now. Don't worry I will clean it.

Manik knew there were no servants in the house now, that's why he did this drama just to hurt Nandini.

Manik:- (innocently) But....

Nandini:- It's okay Manik. I can do it.

Nandini was picking up those glass pieces when her finger got cut by a glass piece and she hissed.

Nandini:- Ahhh....

Manik saw her finger bleeding and gripped the bed sheets tightly to control his emotions. Why should he care for her when she is responsible for his miserable life. Manik just closed his eyes and let Nandini taste her own medicine. He took a deep breath and said,

Manik:- Nandini leave it, I will call someone to clean it.

Nandini:- No Manik it's almost done.

Manik:- Okay please lock the door before going out. I need to change my T-shirt.

Nandini:- Okay.

As soon as Nandini locked the door Manik went to the balcony. He looked at the sky and said,

Manik:- Why does it hurt to hurt you? Why can't I hate you? Why?

Next Morning

Surprising everyone, Manik came downstairs for breakfast. Raj held him securely and made him sit on the chair when he said,

Manik:- Mom, I am hungry. Won't you feed me?

Neonika immediately served him breakfast and started feeding him by her own hands. After a long time Raj and Neonika were happy seeing their son getting back to normal. But is he actually normal?

Manik:- Dad I want to join Malhotra Industry.

Raj:- Manik I am glad that finally you decided to join the company but right now you need rest baccha.

Manik:- (pouting) I am tired of taking rest. I get bored sitting at home.

Neonika:- But taking stress is not good for your health.

Manik:- (sadly) You guys never listen to me.

Manik stood up and was a about to leave there when Raj said,

Raj:- Okay fine. Be ready tomorrow I will take you to the office with me but remember you won't stress yourself, okay?

Manik:- Okay.

At the time Abhi came there and said,

Abhi:- Wow am I dreaming or the famous Manik Malhotra actually saying something useful.

Manik:- You won't stop pulling my leg na?

Abhi held Manik sideways and helped him to get back to his room.

Abhi:- What's the fun if I don't pull my little brother's leg. By the way how's your leg now? Is it still paining?

Manik:- Not that much.

Abhi:- You still can't walk without any support and want to join the company. What's cooking in your head Manik?

Manik:- Nothing. I just get bored sitting in my room the whole day. So I thought of doing something useful.

Abhi:- Are you sure you want to join the company?

Manik:- Yes.

Abhi:- You know Nandini will be there all the time.

Manik:- I don't care.

Saying this Manik went to the washroom when Abhi thought,

Abhi's pov:- Something is definitely cooking in your head Manik. It's just that I am not able to pinpoint it. I hope this time you don't do anything stupid to ruin Nandini.
