Few weeks later

Manik was doing much better than before. Everything was going well except Soha, who always tried to find ways to cling to Manik. But whenever Manik sees her, he  just runs away from there as if he has seen some ghost. He really doesn't get good vibes from her. Right now he was sitting in Abhimanyu's cabin and playing with a paperweight.

Abhi:- So what do you think about Nandini?

Manik:- What should I think about her?

Manik wasn't focusing on this topic or should I say he doesn't want to talk about it. That's why he was trying to distract himself by playing with that useless thing but whom was he trying to fool? Abhi immediately snatched that paperweight and said,

Abhi:- Trying to be smart?

Manik:- (smirked) Nah, I am born smart. 

Abhi smacked his head lightly and said,

Abhi:- (angrily) Focus on the topic.

Manik:- Ouch Bhai that hurts. 

Abhi:- (irritated) Manik when you know that you can't fool me then why are you even trying? 

Manik:- (cutely) I don't want to talk about it. 

Abhi:- Why so?

Manik:- Because I am confused about my feelings for her. I like her and want her to be with me forever humasha but I don't know if it's love or not. "Love" itself is so confusing. 

Abhi:- So you are just obsessed with her, you don't love her right? 

Manik:- No, it's nothing like that. 

Abhi:- Then?

Manik:- (frustrated) I can't explain it. 

Abhi:- Okay I am giving you one week to think about it. Next week you have to explain it to me. 

Manik:- Why this topic? Can't we avoid it?

Abhi:- No. It's needed for you.

Manik:- But….

Abhi:- Manik do you want me to kick you out or you will go home on your own?

Manik:- (making faces) How rude! I am going, bye.

Next day
At college

Manik and Nandini were sitting in the college canteen when Manik saw Aryaman coming towards them,

Manik:- Oh no, that moron is back. 

Nandini:- (angrily) Manik….

Aryaman came to them and said,

Aryaman:- Hey guys.

Nandini:- Hey Aryaman nice to see you back. How are you doing now?

Aryaman:- I am absolutely fine. Thank you Manik, if you won't have helped me that day then I probably won't be able to survive. 

Manik:- If you are that grateful to me then forget Nandini. She is mine okay, only mine. 

Nandini:- (angrily) Manik what are you saying?

Aryaman raises his hands up and says,

Aryaman:- No hard feelings bro. She was, is and will always be yours. I am just a friend of hers, I hope you don't have any problem with our friendship. 

Manik:- You better stick to your words. 

Nandini:- You both are impossible. Keep fighting with each other as much as you want. I have classes to attend so I am going, bye. 

Nandini went towards her classroom when Aryaman ran after her saying,

Aryaman:- Nandini wait, I need some notes from you. 

Manik:- (smiled) Crazy best friends. 

Manik was sipping his cold drink when a waiter came and placed a pizza written "I Love You" by tomato sauce.

Manik:- What is this? I didn't order any pizza then why are you placing it on my table?

Waiter:- Someone placed your order. 

Manik:- (confused) Who?  

Waiter pointed towards Soha, who was standing at a distance smiling at him. Manik shook his head at her foolish act and went to her.

Manik:- Soha what is this?

Soha sat on her knees and forwarded a flower bouquet,

Soha:- I Love You Manik. Will you be my boyfriend?

It was a very odd moment for Manik as everybody was looking at them.  

Manik:- Soha get up.

Soha:- (smiled) No. First, accept my proposal. 

Manik:- (shouted loudly) What the hell Soha? Why are you doing all this?

Soha immediately stood up and said,

Soha:- I love you Manik and I am just expressing my feelings for you.

Manik:- But I don't love you.

Soha:- (crying) Manik….

Manik:- You heard me. Now please don't create any scene here. 

Soha:- Manik please don't do this to me. I really love you a lot. Please be mine. 

Soha tried to hold his hand but he immediately jerked it and said,

Manik:- (shouted) Enough Soha. I said I don't love you, why can't you get this simple thing, damn it? 

Soha:- You are rejecting me for that Nandini Murthy right? That bloody orphan, what she gave you that I can't give you? 

Manik:- (Shouted loudly) Soha….

Manik raises his hand to slap her but somehow he controls himself and said,

Manik:- (dangerously) Dare you utter a word against her otherwise you will see the devil in me. Don't provoke me Soha, don't make me do something that you will regret later. Trust me I have zero control on my anger issues. 

Saying this, Manik left there but Soha was still standing there. She felt so humiliated as he didn't just reject her but also insulted her in front of the whole canteen. 

At Malhotra Mansion

Raj was sitting on the couch and watching news on tv when Manik came home. He saw his dad watching the news channel so he went to him and sat beside him. He wanted to talk about something to him but he didn't know how to say it. So he grabbed the tv remote and changed the channel. Raj knew why he was doing it but he kept quiet and focused on the tv screen. Seeing this Manik kept changing channels to get his attention but to no avail. Finally he gave up and stood up to leave when Raj said,

Raj:- You don't need to hesitate to ask me anything. 

Manik sat in his previous place and said,

Manik:- I want to tell you something.

Raj switched off the tv and said,

Raj:- Yeah say. 

Manik:- I want to join the Malhotra Industry. 

Raj immediately kept his hands on his forehead and checked his temperature.

Manik:- (irritated) What are you doing?

Raj:- Checking if you are alright or not? 

Manik:- And what made you do so?

Raj:- From the very first day you were back in India, I was asking you to join Malhotra Industry but you wanted to  pursue an MBA. Now suddenly what happened to you? 

Manik:- Nothing. I just want to settle down.

Raj:- (raises his eyebrows) Do you think I will buy this shit? Spill it already my boy.  

Manik closed his eyes, took a deep breath and said,

Manik:- (in a go) IwanttomarryNandini.

When Manik didn't get any response from him, he opened his eyes and saw Raj looking at him confusedly.

Manik:- (nervously) What?

Raj:- Which language it is? 

Manik:- English. 

Raj:- Oh then let me on Amazon Alexa because I am not even getting a word of that sentence. 

Manik:- (whinnied) Dad.

Raj:- What?

Manik:- I want to marry Nandini. 

Raj slapped his own forehead and said,

Raj:- There we go….
