In Malhotra Mansion

Nandini was sitting beside the swimming pool when Manik came there and forwarded some papers towards her.

Manik:- Here is your notes.

Nandini:- (rudely) I don't need your notes.

Manik:- of course. Why will you need my notes when you have your boyfriend to give you notes. 

Nandini:- (shouted) he is not my boyfriend, okey?

Manik:- Then why he always tail around you like some love sick puppy?

Nandini:- well you also tail around me like that. Should I consider you also to be my boyfriend? No right?

Manik:- (angrily) You are comparing me with that jerk?

Nandini:- (shouted) Manik Malhotra mind your language, okey?

Manik:- Wow so much love for that moron.

Nandini:- Manik trust me if you utter one more wrong word about Arya, then I will….

Manik:- (angrily) you will what?

Nandini:- I will call Raj Uncle and complain against you then he will straighten your language properly. 

That's it Manik's anger reached another level. If anything goes wrong or this monster of her's doesn't come handy then she knows how to shut his mouth by using her uncle's name. But she forgot that Manik isn't a kid anymore who will get scared by hearing such empty threat.

Manik:- (shouted) Nandini don't make me angry and say sorry for your misbehave, right now.

Nandini:- (smirked) What if I don't say sorry? 

Suddenly Manik pushed her in the swimming pool and Nandini started shouting.

Nandini:- Manik...Manik I don't know swimming. Please help me, pull me out.

Manik:- (smirked) Why? Call your uncle. He will teach you swimming.

Nandini:- Manik...Manik I drowning.

Manik's face turned pale when he saw Nandini drowning in the water. He immediately jumped into the water and pulled her up by holding her waist.

Manik:- Say sorry.

Nandini:- (confused) Huh?

Manik:- Say sorry for your misbehavior.

Nandini:- I won't.

Manik:- Okey then….

Manik left Nandini and she again drowned in water.

Nandini:- (shouted loudly) Aunty, Uncle.

Manik:- (smirked) Mom and Dad went to attend a business party so nobody is there to save you. Come on say sorry or drown in water, choice is yours.

Nandini:- Okey, sorry. Now pull me up.

Manik:- What? I didn't get you.

Nandini:- (shouted) I said sorry.

Manik:- Pyaar sa Nandu, pyaar sa.

Nandini:- Manik...Manik I am really very sorry. I am drowning, please pull me up.

Manik again pulled her by holding her waist and she immediately held his shoulders tightly. In that way their height match each other and they were lost in a cute eye lock that she didn't realize when he made her sit on the edge of the pool.

Manik:- Go inside and change your clothes.

Nandini:- (lost) Huh?

Manik:- (loudly) Nandini Murthy go inside and change your clothes.

Nandini:- (whispered) Monster.

Saying this Nandini went inside when Raj and Neonika returned from the party. They saw Nandini going towards her room all wet and Neonika said,

Neonika:- Nandini beta how did you get wet?

Nandini:- Aunty actually I was walking around the swimming pool when I slipped and fall into the water.

Raj:- (panicked) Did you get hurt? Should I call doctor?

Nandini:- No uncle I am absolutely fine. Manik saved me.

Raj:- oh he is a swimming champion. He won many prize in swimming competition.

Neonika:- (rolling eyes) Of course, like father like son. Nandini go to your room and get changed otherwise you will cought cold.

Nandini:- Okey Aunty.

Nandini went to her room. Raj and Neonika also went to freshen up.

On the other side

Manik:- Damn this girl will make me crazy. She just needs reason to fight with me always. Why can't she listen to me once? Why can't she understand that it hurts, it really hurts to hurt her.

Manik took a deep breath, opened his arms wide, closed his eyes and sinks into the water like a lifeless body. Nandini's struggle to breathe in the water flashed in front of his eyes. He will give himself the same pain he gave to her and that's his way to love her. But will she understand his love or judge him by his dominating impulsive side. All that glitters is not gold and exactly what we see isn't true always. Every coin has two different side.
After freshen up Raj and Neonika came downstairs to have dinner when Raj noticed that Manik wasn't there.

Raj:- Nandini where is Manik?

Nandini:- I don't know. Maybe he is still in the swimming pool.

Raj:- This boy doesn't have any time sense. Neonika set the table I am going to calling him.

Raj went to the swimming pool and didn't found Manik there.

Raj:- Manik…Manik. Where are you?

At that time Manik opened his eyes and was about to come up when he found himself breathless. He tried hard but till then water filled his lung & stomach and made his whole body partially paralyzed. Seeing movement in the water Raj understood that Manik is still in the water and totally breathless.

Raj:- (panicked) Shit.

Raj immediately jumped into the water and pulled Manik's almost lifeless body up. By then he was totally unconscious. Raj made him lay down on the floor and checked his breathing and pulse rate. Unfortunately Manik wasn't breathing but his pulse was running.

Raj:- (shouted loudly) Neonika where are you? Please call the doctor immediately. Manik has drown in the water.

Hearing Raj's shout Neonika and Nandini immediately came out and Neonika started crying seeing Manik like this. Nandini immediately called their family doctor when Raj kept his hands in the center of his chest and pressed lightly. After repeating the same process for almost three times some water came out of his mouth and he started coughing badly. Raj rubbed his back as he was breathing heavily. After sometime his got normal and Raj said,

Raj:- Manik what was that stunt for?

Manik:- (innocently) it wasn't any stunt. I just drowned in the water.

Raj:- (angrily) A swimming champion like you can never drown in the swimming pool. So you better tell me the truth Malhotra.

Manik:- (sadly) Mom see he is scolding me without any reason.

Neonika:- Raj stop it. Manik go to your room and change your clothes, okey.

Manik:- okey.

Manik went to his room and Nandini supported him by holding his arms. When Raj said,

Raj:- Something is wrong with this boy.

Neonika:- What's wrong you saw in this? It was an accident.

Raj:- It was anything but accident Neonika, and I am damn sure it was all about Nandini. He was all okey when he was in abroad then what happened to him now? Why he is behaving like this again?

Neonika:- Raj you are overthinking, he is just a kid.

Raj:- (angrily) He is not a kid anymore. Stop overshadow him always.

Neonika:- (scared) Raj promise me that you won't rise your hands on him again. It was your strict behavior which made him this stubborn.

Raj:- I regretted for my behavior, didn't I?

Neonika:- Of course you did but your regret feelings couldn't bring back his childhood. Did you forget that it was your decision to bring Nandini in this house and it's all started when she entered in our house. Sometimes I feel like she is a course.

Raj:- (shouted) Neonika….
