Are mornings always peaceful..??

Nah. The answer should be a big NO.

Mornings can never be always peaceful. Sometimes, we would feel happy thinking that yes, today I'm almost going to be stress free.

While, sometimes, we would be thinking, today's day is going to be hectic, why am I even living for, I'm so dead.

Mornings could be beautiful which brings you peace while it could also be dreadful which would make you go crazy and you would do something or precisely everything crazy.

This morning is going to be really bad for, Manik Malhotra..

In Malhotra Mansion

MaNan's Bedroom

He was walking around the bushes when he saw a light coming from afar. He, was fascinated with light, every time. This always showed him that his life will always be lighted with hope and love.

And so, he started walking ahead and now, he could see that light was reflecting from someone's face. A girl's face. She had worn a gown but he couldn't see her face, yet he could say she was beautiful.

He moved further and saw the girl was holding a flower in her hand, busy in admiring it. He kept gazing her thinking she might turn to him and just like he thought, she turned to him and his face broke into a beautiful smile..

" Nandini..." he whispered..

SPLASH..!!!!!

And Manik Malhotra woke up in a jerk, drenched in cold water panting heavily. For a second, he didn't know what happened and where he was. But, realization hit him, he was sleeping in his bedroom.

But then now, he's drenched in water. Someone drenched him in water. With his furious eyes, ready to shout, he looked above only to see his Lilliput with an empty bucket in her hand, while smiling at him sarcastically..

Manik ( shouted ): What the hell is wrong with you..?? Were you sleep-walking..??

Nandini: Oh yeah, I was walking in my sleep with a bucket of water and thought of emptying it on you..right..??

Manik glared at her and she returned the same..

Nandini: Like really..?? You sleep like a kumbkharan, ithna tho mein bhi nahi sothi, it's already 8:30. Tumhara patha nahi par mujhe breakfast tho karni hi hai, aakhir kaam hai mere paas unlike you..

Manik ( stunned ): 8:30..?? Aur mein ab thak so raha tha..??

Nandini ( sarcastically ): Nahi..taare gin raha tha..kyu..??

Manik gritted his teeth and glared at her, which she ignored and walked down the stairs. He held his head in frustration and got up from the bed but then soon, he drifted into the land, his dream.

Manik ( muttered ): It was Nandini..The girl who always come in my dreams is Nandini..Ye sab kya ho raha hai mere saath. Mein uske barein mein hamesha sochtha hi kyun..

He chucked all his thoughts and moved inside the washroom to take a shower..

In the Kitchen

Nandini walked inside the kitchen only to scrunch her nose in anger. She marched ahead and snatched something from the person who was already in the kitchen.

Nandini ( glared ): Like really, Mom..? Who's allergic to peanuts, now..??

Nyonika ( pouted ): Bas, ek bite, Nandini..

Nandini ( sarcastically ): Oh yeah, you'll have a bite of this Peanut cheesecake and then fall sick, for example, itchiness, swelling, asthma or worse, drop in your B.P level. If you want, I can add an extra information, this allergy can even cause death and here you were trying to ravish this not-so-beautiful cake..

Nyonika ( sighed ): Hogaya tumhara..? Ab tum meri bath suno, mere allergy ithna bhi worse nahi hai, mine is a very minute one and the sickness which you mentioned right now were for the one who were highly allergic to Peanuts. Ab, Muku ne banaya hai aur mein bina khaake kaise jeeyoon, tum hi bolo..

Nandini ( glared ): Mom, allergies mein minute ya huge jaisa kuch bhi nahi hai. If you're allergic to something, then it can increase or decrease it's level. It depends upon your body aur aap bura math maaniye but you're already 50 years old which means your body won't be able to bear much of such sickness. Aur rahi bath Muku ne banayi hai tho kya honewala hai, aap choti se cheesecake phirse banane keliye kehdeejiye na, without peanuts so that you would be able to devour it too..

Nyonika pouted sadly and looked at the cheesecake and sighed. Nandini held her arms and stretched her lips..

Nandini: Aaj hospital se wapas aane ke baad pehla kaam aapkeliye cake banana hogi, with your Muku..teek hai..?

Nyonika smiled sweetly at her which swelled Nandini's heart with happiness. Surprisingly, she happens to be the motherly figure for her and she couldn't help it but Nyonika's sadness did affect her a lot.

Nandini: Chalo, aap jaake Grand Pa aur Bhai ko bhi breakfast keliye bhulayiye..

Nyonika: Teek hai..aur Manik..??

Nandini ( winked at her ): Uska tension tho leejiye math, ab wo tho mera kaam hai..Agar 10 minute mein nahi aaya tho mera naam bhi Nandini Malhotra nahi hai..

Nyonika giggled and moved out of the kitchen while Nandini looked at Nyonika's retreating figure with a smile on her lips..

Nandini ( muttered ): Patha nahi kyu, par Mom ko dekhke sirf Ma ki yaad aathi hai..Huff chal chod Nandu, emotional bathein karne keliye ek waqt hai jo tumhari zindagi mein kabhi nahi hogi so let's get to my work which is Grumpy Coffee keliye juice banana..

She took the juice machine and started making juice for Manik, not before keeping the cheesecake back in the refrigerator.

Soon, Nyonika came back to the kitchen and started to prepare tea for Raj as he prefers only that tea which is prepared by her. She moved to the refrigerator to get milk when her gaze again fell on the cheesecake and being a lover of it, she couldn't control anymore.

She looked behind to see Nandini engrossed in her work and taking it as a cue, she took that slice which was already cut by her ( Nyonika ) previously and now it was joined with the whole cake by Nandini.

Nyonika, moved out without making any noise and by seeing none around, she took a piece of the cake and moaned after devouring it.

Nyonika: Hmm..I must say, my daughter is a wonderful cook..

She completed the whole slice while with Nandini..

Nandini: Mom, Grand Pa keliye Tea banaya hai kya..??

She frowned on getting no reply and turned behind to see Nyonika wasn't present..

Nandini ( frowned ): Arey, abi tho Mom yahi thi, ab kaha chali gayi..??

Soon, she saw Nyonika entering the kitchen with a smile and she failed to notice the plate in her hand..

Nandini: Mom, where were you..??

Nyonika, stealthily hid the plate which was already covered in her saree's pallu..

Nyonika: Uh, kahi nahi..kyu..? Tumhe kuch chahiye thi..??

Nandini looked suspicious with Nyonika's behavior. She looked quiet nervous.

Nandini: Mom, are you alright..??

Nyonika: Of course, I am. Ab tumhe kya hua..??

Before Nandini could ask more, they heard Cabir's voice who asked for breakfast from the dining room, which diverted Nandini's attention from Nyonika..

Nandini ( shook her head ): Kuch nahi Mom..Maybe, I was overthinking. Chalo, nashtha lagwathe hai, Mom..

Nyonika thanked her God and both the ladies asked the workers to push the trolleys of food to the dining room and they walked out.

In the Dining room

Cabir: Kya, Mom..? Kabse chilla raha tha mein nashthe keliye..Ek bahu aayi tho aap khud badal gayi ab doosri aayegi tho kya hogi aapko..?

Raj: Dosori bahu kyu aayegi..?

Cabir: Mein aapka beta nahi hoon kya jo aapkeliye meri beewi bahu nahi hogi..

Nandini ( raised her eyebrows ): Wo tho sahi kaha, par aapko ladki dega bhi kaun..? Jo ladka har waqt khana khaatha hai uska pet mota hoke pregnant ladki jaise dikhega tho obviously ladki ko bhi shak hogi ki aap ladka hai ya ladki..

Cabir glared at Nandini, who ignored him and sat beside Manik who was looking grumpy, as usual. While, Mukti and Nyonika sat on the either sides of Cabir.

Mukti: Aap apne muh bandh kyu nahi kar lethe Cabir Bhai. Bhabi ko ab thak samjhane ke koshish hi nahi kiya aapne..

Cabir: Arey tu dekhna, meri beewi ko aane dho, phir tumhari badi Bhabi keliye competion banjayegi..

Nandini: Mathlab aap poori zindagi kunwara hi rahe ga..

Cabir ( horrified ): Kya mathlab..??

Nandini: Mathlab, pori zindagi bina shadi karke virgin banke hi jeeyega, aakhir mereliye competitor milna mushkil nahi naa mumkin hai, mere jaise jo hai wo hai meri bestie jiskeliye aap Bhai samaan hai, so just to inform you, Happy Virgin Forever...

Cabir ( whined ): Bhai, aap apni beewi ko apne kaabu mein rakh kyu nahi paa rahe ho..??

Nandini: Arey jab aapka Bhai hi mere kaabu mein hai tho wo kaise kar sakthe hai..

Manik: Oh hello, mein kisike bhi kaabu mein nahi hoon. Bina soke khwaab dekhna bandh karo tum..

Nandini: Beena sowke khwaab dekhne ko kehthe hai, day dreaming, so keep it simple. Aur rahi bath khwab dekhne keliye, na mein kisiko fees dethi hoon na tax, mathlab it's free isiliye tumse permission leke khwaab dekhne ke zaroorath nahi mujhe..ab tum ye juice peeyo..

She filled his glass with the juice and kept it in front of him..

Manik ( angrily ): Mujhe coffee chahiye..Raghu..where are you..

Nandini: Chillane ke zaroorath nahi hai, wo kya hai na..Mein Raghu Bhayya ko chutti diya..

Manik ( surprised ): What..?? Tumne usse chutti diya..uski shadi thi kya jo chutti dene keliye jab usko kaam mein aana chahiye tha..

Nandini: Pehli baath, agar unki shadi hothi tho mein unhe yaha ke job chodke kisi aur ke ghar mein jaanekeliye keh dethi. Aakhir, ab unke paas ek ladki hogi jiske dekhpaal karne keliye tho tumhara chillana sunthe sunthe bichara shaheed hojayega so it will effect that poor girl's life too. Aur doosri bath, fortunately unki shadi nahi hai, mein tho bass morning mein chutti diya thaaki wo tumhe coffee de nahi paaye, either Mom or he can make the best coffee, mom tho tumhe banake degi bhi nahi..so simple..aayi samaj mein baath..??

Manik glared at her like he could even eat her up while she turned to him and took a tissue and made it wet and kept it on his head making him more angry..

Manik: Nandiniii...

The rest shivered with his tone but she sat like nothing happened..

Nandini ( annoyed ): Kya..? Ab chillana hi baaki reh gaya tha. Ek tho mujhe ghoorke ghoorke khana khaana hi nahi dethe ho tho mene tumhara sir ko thoda tandayi diya, ab no more chillay-ing. So, have your food and drink your juice like a good boy..

Manik clenched his fist and tried to open his mouth for shouting when she kept the juice glass in front of his lips..

Nandini: Don't..If you shout, then you would obviously spill this juice on your shirt, agar nahi chahthe ho tho peeyo..

Manik glared at her and tried to move the glass when she glared at him and he clossed his eyes and drank the whole juice in a go making her grin like a kid. She kept the glass back and ruffled his hair..

Nandini: Nice. Tum kithne ache ho..

She dug herself into her plate and Manik tried to get up when she slapped his hand..

Nandini: Khana kaun khayega..Tumhare liye hi hai..

Manik glared at her but nonetheless, he started which made the rest happy. The Malhotras looked at Nandini who was also busy in eating and they smiled at her.

Suddenly, Nyonika felt a sort of itching in her throat and then to her whole body. She felt quiet restless, she tried to drink water when she felt her surrounding spinning. She held the table's edge and tried to balance herself. This was noticed by Cabir and he held Nyonika's hand..

Cabir ( worried ): Mom..

Hearing him, everyone's attention turned towards Cabir and Nyonika and they too saw her holding her head which made them worried too..

Manik: Mom..mom..

Nyonika: I'm fine..It's..it's..

She was about to fall and Cabir held her in the right time making other to get up from their seats..

MukNi ( shouted ): Mom...

Manik ran to Nyonika's side and he saw her sweating..

Manik: Mo..m..You're..sweating..kya hua..

Raj ( in tears ): Nyo..please speak something..

He was choking with tears in his eyes and so others. Nandini, looked at Nyonika and she felt herself sweating with the memories..

" Ma..aankhen kholo..Ma.." said a little girl while crying who was holding onto her mother..

" Nandu...I'm fine...ro math, bata.." said the lady while wiping Nandini's tears..

" Ma..kya hua hai..please don't leave me..Ma..Ab kya karun..Mein kya karun.." Nandini was murmuring with tears continuously flowing from her eyes..

" Get Ma's bag, Nandu..I'll be fine.." the lady spoke with great difficulty. Nandini nodded and got the lady's bag for her..

" There's an...injector.." said the lady and Nandini obliged to it again and on finding the injector she took it from the bag and forwarded it to the lady..

" Baby...inject it to my body.." said the lady..

" Ma..inject..how..mujhe nahi patha kaise.." said Nandini while still crying..

" Aise..bas, press it in my body.." said the lady..

" Will it hurt you, Ma..?? " asked Nandini innocently and the lady smiled at her and nodded in No and she injected it in the lady's body and soon, she saw her mother getting back to normal..

" I thought, I lost you, Ma..Please don't leave me..I love you, Ma" said Nandini while hugging her mother tightly..

" Never baby..Ma loves you the most.." said the lady while hugging her back..

" My..Epinephrine.." Nandini was brought out of her trance by Nyonika's voice..

Mukti ( worried ): Epinephrine..? Mom..that's for..

Nyonika simply nodded and Mukti ran upstairs to get Nyonika's Epinephrine injector.

Manik: Mom, just..just don't close your eyes..please..Mom..please..

Cabir: Mom, it's going to be fine..okay..just relax..

Nyonika nodded with great difficult who was in Raj's arms. Nandini sat beside Nyonika and held her hand in her's but she kept her eyes down and for the first time, after stepping in Malhotra's Mansion, her eyes brimmed with tears..

Nandini ( softly ): Mom, breathe hard. You should keep your eyes open. Okay..Are you listening Mom..??

Nyonika nodded and she could understand the anger behind Nandini's voice even int hat condition. Soon, Mukti came running towards Nyonika and injected the syringe in her ( Nyonika's ) body.

Nandini ( stared at Nyonika ): She'll be fine..within 5-10 minutes..

Manik picked Nyonika up in his arms and took her to his parents bedroom and placed her on the bed and sat beside her. Cabir and Mukti too occupied the vacant places on the bed while Raj simply held his head in stress.

Soon, Nyonika got back to her normal condition much to others' happiness. Nandini could remember how she felt the same feeling when she saw her mother getting fine.

Manik: Mom, how are you now..

Cabir: Mom, is everything alright..?

Mukti: Mom, kuch tho bolo..

Nandini ( irritated ): Shut up. Bachon ki tarah behave math kar..She's weak.

They nodded in understanding while Nandini filled the glass with water which was kept on the side-table and forwarded it to Nyonika..

Nandini ( glared ): Water, Mom..

Nyonika gave a nervous smile to her and took the glass from Nandini and took a sip from it.

Raj walked to Nyonika and took her in his arms and kissed her forehead..

Raj: You're fine, right..??

And Nyonika felt more guilty seeing her husband's concerned eyes. He never shows his worries out, he always behave like a strong person and so only she knew how difficult it would have been for him to see her in this condition. She simply nodded with a smile and through the corner of her eyes, she could see Nandini sighing in anger and surprisingly, Nyonika was feeling scared too..

Manik: Par Mom, ye sab kaise hua..??

Cabir: Haa Mom..You use epinephrine only when you get allergic. And, you've not eaten anything related to Peanuts since ages..

Nyonika kept quiet and looked down making others confuse and suspicious except for Nandini, who was trying to keep a calm face. Suddenly, Mukti remembered about her cake.

Mukti ( surprised ): Did you eat the cake..??

And Nyonika's head snapped at Mukti and she could only nod in No but then seeing so many scrutinizing gazes, she couldn't act more..

Cabir ( confused ): Cake..??

Mukti ( frowned ): You did eat that cake..

Raj: Which cake, Mukti..??

Mukti ( sighed ): That, Peanut Cheesecake. Seriously, Mom..How could you forget that you were allergic to Peanuts..

Nyonika wanted to cry seeing her husband's and son's monstrous glares..

Manik: Seriously, mom. How could you be so careless..?? Agar kuch hojatha tho..??

Nyonika ( meekly ): I..I'm sorry..

Cabir: Sorry..?? Ye mere sorry se sab kuch badal jathe hai kya..??

Manik: Bachpana ke bhi ek limit hai Mom and who m...

Suddenly, Manik's eyes fell on Nandini who was simply looking at Nyonika with concerned eyes as she could see her ( Nyonika's ) eyes getting welled up.

Manik ( furiously ): How could I even forget..!!

And, his tone and gaze made Nandini to look at Manik, who immediately got up and marched to her and held her arms tightly making her hiss, for the first time..

Nandini: What's wrong with you..What..

Manik ( shouted ): What's wrong with me..? Everything's wrong with me and that's why I married you.

She snapped her head at him in surprise, not with his words as he never used any loving words but his tone, that was quiet sharper compared to anytime that he's used before. While, others sat shocked..

Nandini: What did I do, now..??

Manik: What did you do..? You're the most shameless girl I've ever come across off. Ithna kuch kiya aur phir bhi tum pooch rahi ho ki tumne kya kiya..

Nandini was finding it so difficult not to hiss due to his tight hold on her arms lost her control..

Nandini ( shouted ): Haa mein pooch rahi hoon because I don't have any idea on what you're talking about..

Manik ( yelled ): You don't know..? How dare you lie..? How dare you lie when you were the reason for all this have happened..

Nyonika: Manik, tum kya bol rahe ho..? Nandini ko kyu..

Manik ( shouted ): She's the sole reason, Mom. She shouldn't have made the cake..

And Nandini clenched her fist not to punch him..While, Mukti got up from her seat..

Mukti: Bhai, ye aap kya bolr ahe hai..? Bhabi na..

Manik: Mom ke saath ithna kuch kiya phir bhi tum iske side le rahi ho..? I can't believe it, Aisa bhi kaunsa jadoo kiya iss ladki ne..

He turned to Nandini who was still having a stern face..Cabir and Raj didn't know how to react..

Manik: Cake banna hi tha tho khud banake khao na, mere family ko impress karwane keliye aur kuch nahi mili kya..

Mukti: Bhai, please listen..

Manik ( angrily ): Waise bhi, jis ladki ko apne Ma baap ke fikar hi nahi, uss ladki doosron ke Maa baap ke kya fikar karwaegi, aakhir kaunsi ladki hai jiske shadi mein khudke nahi balki apne best friend ke family aathe hai..This proves that she doesn't care about her own parents' likes and dislikes..

( Here's your request granted, Vidyaperla..I can't write much more evil words, I'm sorry )

And this did it's work, Nandini stomped Manik's feet which made him lose his hold on her and he lost his balance and moved back and got hit to the wall..

Manik: You..

Nandini: Mom, I solemnly request you to teach some manners to your son, on how to talk to a lady..

Manik ( shouted ): How dare you, nandini..

Nyonika ( shouted ): Enough, Manik..

And he flinched with her tone while she kept a hand on her heart and looked at Manik furiously..

Nyonika: Don't let others raise a question on my upbringing, Manik. Kya janthe ho tum..? Usne bathaya hai kya ki ye cake usne banayi hai..? Nahi, kya mene bathaya, nahi..Phir hothe kaun ho tum usse accuse karne keliye..

Manik ( shocked ): Mom..

Mukti ( sighed ): Wo cake, mene banayi thi, Bhai..

Manik looked at her in shock while Nandini simply stood there with an emotionless face..

Cabir ( shocked ): What..??

Mukti ( nodded ): Haa, Manik Bhai loves peanut cakes so since yesterday Bhabi made him eat cake I thought she could make him eat my cake too..Par, mene socha hi nahi Mom ye khayegi..

While, Manik felt like the floor beneath his feet has just slipped off. He, looked at Nandini who was simply looking at him and then tried to walk out when she turned to him..

Nandini: For your information, think before you speak. Tongue is sharper than a knife.

And she walked away while he palmed his face in guilt. He turned to Nyonika and for the first time, he saw his mother's eyes welled up because of him..

Manik: Mom..

Nyonika: Mere paas tab aao jab Nandini see maafi maange keliye himmath ho..

And he looked down..He turned to move when he heard his Dad speaking..

Raj: Jaise tumne kaha, Nandini doesn't care about her parents. Aakhir, jiske parents zinda nahi uske barein mein kya sochna hai..

Manik turned around in a jerk and looked at Raj in shock..

Manik: Dad..

Cabir ( sighed ): Nandini is an orphan, Bhai..

And, Manik clenched his fist to control himself. He, simply stormed out of the room while others slumped on the couches with serious faces..

Mukti: This shouldn't have happened..

Outside the bedroom..

Manik searched the entire Mansion but there was no sign of Nandini which did worry him. He couldn't even call her because he doesn't have his wife's number. How romantic..!!

At last, he moved out of the Mansion in search of Nandini..

In a beach

That's a place which can calm all your nerves down and so Nandini's. She sat on the shore and looked ahead.

Nandini ( sighed ): Ma, aapko patha hai, mujhe patha tha ki Grumpy Coffee bohath arrogant hai. Phir bhi, mujhe laga uske dil bohath innocent hai. I could see something innocent in his eyes, par mein galath thi, Ma. Papa, aapko patha hai, aaj uss Monkey Grumpy Coffee ne bohath kuch kaha aapke princess kop, I hate him. I so hate him. I so hate that monkey. I so hate that vagabond. I so hate that monster. I so hate that miscreant. I so hate that Grumpy Coffee..

She kept on curse Mnaik and when she felt the place getting darker, she understood it was evening..

Nandini: Hey Bhagwan ji, mein ithne der se yaha baith rahi thi. Acha hua, pehle se hi leave application bheja warna uss budha Dean mujhe fry karletha, baap fry karega aur beta flirt karthe hai..Meri budhi kismath..

She got up and moved to her car and drove to Malhotra Mansion..

In Malhotra Mansion

Nandini walked inside like nothing happened, only to see the whole Malhotras in the living room. Mukti and Cabir were pacing around while Nyonika was resting on the couch beside Raj who were also with tensed faces.

While, Manik wasn't there..

Nandini: Yaha ithna sannatha kyun..?

And this broke the silence. Mukti ran to Nandini and hugged her tightly..

Nandini: Whoa..choti, aaram se..

Mukti broke the hug and Nandini could see some tears in her eyes..

Nandini: Kya hua..ye Nile river ki inauguration kisne kiya..??

Mukti: Huh..

Nandini: Budhu, tum ro kyu rahi thi..

Mukti ( glared ): Aap kaha the..

Cabir ( glared ): Nandini, ye bhi koi tareekha hai..na phone uta rahi thi aur na hi koi messgaes ki reply..

Nandini ( sighed ): Bhai, mein choti bachi nahi hoon kahi khone keliye. I was out and I had my reasons ab wo math poochna..please..Waise, aap sab mujh bandh karke kya kar rahe the..bina bath karke jeethe bhi kaise..

Malhotras could only gape at her, what is she made of..!!

Nyonika: Kuch bhi tho nahi..bas, tum nahi thi na..

Nandini ( glared ): Waise, aapse bohath bath karni thi mujhe..

Nyonika: um..wo..

Nandini ( glared ): I don't wanna hear anything Mrs. Malhotra. Now, its your turn to get some rest. Grand Pa, take her to bedroom, romance keliye nahi balki unhe rest karne dho..Tab thak mein fresh hoke aathi hoon, she shouldn't move for the whole day. She needs full day medical rest. I'll get her food for today..

Saying it, she moved upstairs..

Cabir ( stunned ): Mom, let me tell you something beforehand, if Bhai happens to fall in love with this antique piece, I'm gonna support him, no matter what..

Nyonika ( still in a daze ): Even I can't oppose..

Mukti and Raj too looked at the duo in surprise but then soon Mukti started jumping from inside..

In MaNan's Bedroom

Nandini walked inside only to see Manik pacing around the bedroom with a stressed face. She looked at him to see him restless.

She ignored him and walked past him when he stopped in his tracks and looked at Nandini in shock. He rubbed his eyes twice and thrice to make himself believe that he wasn't hallucinating..

Manik: Nandini...

He ran to her and held her arms and pulled her in his chest which shocked her to the core. He wrapped his arms around her waist and held onto her tightly which did choke her. She couldn't even move her body due to the shock. What happened to her Grumpy Coffee..??

Manik ( panting heavily ): You..You're..fine..I..I didn't know what happened to you..

He broke the hug and cupped her cheeks and she was pretty shocked.

Manik: I searched for you like a maniac. Where were you..huh..tum kuch bol kyu nahi rahi ho..??

And now, she got out of her shock zone and so his hold while stepping back..He looked shocked while she looked at him keenly and then rushed to her handbag and took something from in it while he was clueless..

She kept it in his ears and he looked at her in utter shock..
