Next morning

*Nandini*

I woke up by the Sunrays coming in the room and also the nurse, who came to give me medicines!!

Ewwwww...I hate medicines and hospital's food.

I was showing tantrums in eating the food when Manik came in and shocked seeing me alone, he said,

"Areee..you are alone? No one is with you?"

"No Manik. Ma ha..but vo washroom gayi hai!"

I said.

"Oh! Thank God..! By the way, good morning Miss Murthy!"

He said in his Manik Malhotra style!!

"Good morning"

I said, Faking a smile!

Why?

What is so good about it? Me having hospital's breakfast, medicines..I don't think that's a good start!

I was thinking all this when Manik broke my chain of thoughts,

" Mosquitoes ne bite to nahi kiya na? Rat ko?"

What the hell! He still remembers!! My face flushed with embarrassment and his face had a smirk.

"Nahi..not at all."

I said trying to act normal!

"Oh..good!"

He said still smirking.

When we were having this mosquito conversation..the nurse who was observing us all this while said,

"Ap hi samjhao inhe sir. She isn't eating anything!!"

As Manik heard this, his smirk changed into a typical daddy's strict expressions!!

"What? Isn't eating anything? Nandini, did I hear that right??"

He said looking at me rather Glaring at me.

Why did the nurse tell him? I don't like her.

"Uhmm...Manik..no!! I..was just going to eat it right now!"

I said trying to lie, but as you all saw, I miserably failed!!

"Ap jayiye. Main khila dunga ise!"

Manik told the nurse and she obeyed him.

Then he came and sat next to me increasing my heartbeats. I won't be able to say no to him!!

I made a puppy face which.. Did NOT melt him!

Cabir is right..he is a sadu!

He took the soup in a spoon and forwarded it to me. I forwarded my hand for taking the spoon but to my surprise Manik brought the spoon near my mouth. I opened my mouth and he made me drink the soup.

The soup never tasted so amazing!

He made me drink the soup and I looked at him thanking ayiappa for giving him to me.

I totally forgot that Ma had gone to the washroom and could barge in anytime.

"Hayeeee!! Good morning Manik. kitna sona munda hai tu! Jo kam main nahi kar sakti vo tune itna easily kar diya!!"

As expected, Ma barged in and seeing me drink hospital's soup without making any faces..she was surprised and praised her sona munda.

But Manik was seeing both of us with confused expression and asked,

"Kaisa kam aunty??"

Ma tapped her forehead thinking how will he know what KAM he had done!

Smiling, she said,

"Isko na hospital ka soup pilana bahut hi BADA KAM hai! Bachpan me ek baar ye bahut bimar ho gayi thi, hospital me admit karana pada tha! Lakh koshish ki tab jake soup piya tha isne hospital ka, par vo bhi muh bana banakar! Aur abhi dekho, kitne aaram se pi rahi hai!"

That "Bachpan ka kissa" made my face red with embarrassment and Manik took so much pleasure in listening to it! He kept laughing while listening to it.

"Aur ye aunty kya hai??Kon hai aunty? "

Suddenly ma said with fake anger!

A confused manik replied,

"Ap hai aunty, aur kon hai yaha?"

"Ma bol bhi do ab, i am not your aunty!!"

She said making us realize why she was saying weird stuff!

Manik, listening to her smiled and said,

"Okay! Ma"

I smiled seeing their bond and my emotional ma hugged manik.

While we were having this happy moment, Nyonika Aunty came in and said,

"Nandini! Kaisi ho beta? Are you feeling better?"

"I am fine."

I could see the guilt on her face!

"Aunty apko guilty feel karne ki koi zaroorat nahi hai! Jo bhi hua usme apki koi galti nahi thi! Please don't feel guilty!"

I tried explaining her.

"Okay. I won't."

She said and hugged me.

"Dekho main tumhare liye kya layi..-"

She tried to say while moving towards the side table but was about to hit her leg with it when i interrupted,

"Mom. Sambhal ke!"

Everyone present was shocked with what i said including myself!!

"K..kya kaha tumne?"

She asked turning towards me

"Vo..main..mom..sorry..vo"

I hesitated to say but tried to.

"Bol na kya bola?"

She must not have heard when i was doing vo main..and all!

" Mom"

I finally said!

She hugged me tight. Thank god she didn't get angry or something of that sort! Manik and Ma were looking at us while i tried to smile.

Ma said,

"Chalo bhai! Nyonika ji apko bahu aur mujhe bete ne ma bula hi liya!"

Nyonika mom getting happy said,

"Sach kaha apne shanno ji par mujhe bahu ne nahi..beti ne mom bulaya hai!"

Hearing her words ma got teary eyed, hugged mom and said

"Pata nahi kya ache kam kiye the pichle janam me nandu ne jo apki jaisa parivar mila hai use!"

"Feelings are mutual, shanno ji!"

Mom replied and we all smiled.

Such an amazing start to the morning.

"Aree! Tumko dikhana to bhul hi gayi main!"

Mom said remembering something.

"Ye dekho invitation card. Cabir Navya ki shaadi ka!"

I had a look and it was beautiful!!

"Par jinko hum card nahi bhej sakte, how will we invite them?"

I asked as there were many family friends who lived in aborad!

"We have made a video invitation too nandini! Have a look!"

Manik said while he came towards me and showed me the video!

"Wow! It is beautiful."

I said

"I know"

He replied while smiling.
