**Nandini**

Today is finally the big day. I feel something unusual today , as if everything will change today. Since, Manik came to pick me and Navya up, we haven't talked except for greeting each other and exchanging smiles.

"Whom are we going to buy clothes for, first?

Navya said, breaking my chain of thoughts. She Is such a sweet friend..I love her for always being there.

"I and Manik will go the men section and you and Nandini go to women section...!! It will save time."

Cabir spoke. I could see Manik's face drop at this, and somewhere mine too. But, why?

"No! We.. We should buy the clothes together!! Since, we have come together."

Manik gave a stupid reason. I could see Cabir and Navya exchange looks..a little surprised but at the same time happy. They tried to tease him a little but at the end, they agreed to him. And we went first to buy clothes for me...as Mr. Malhotra said.. "Ladies first."
Humphhh! Men and their chivalry, you know.

**Manik **

I insisted to buy clothes for Nandini first. So that I could select mine accordingly.

We all settled down in the shop. Nandini, sitting next to me.

"Show the best you've got, for her."

I stated with my attitude, pointing towards Nandini. The salesman nodded and went to take some dresses for Nandini.

I could feel her staring at me. With those brown eyes, innocent ones!! I turned towards her and she instantly broke the eye contact. I could feel her blush even though I couldn't see her face.

The salesman Brought some dresses...and showed us one by one, but I didn't like any of them. They were too simple for Nandini. I know she wouldn't oppose if I bought any of them, as she found them beautiful. But, I didn't.

I roamed my eyes about the shop and saw an awesome attire. Perfect! This dress will be the best.

"What about that one?"

I asked and pointed towards the dress. I could see Nandini's eyes twinkling and Navya and cabir were dumbstruck seeing it.

"Yeah, sure sir. Only one piece has been made of this dress. Please come this way."

The salesman took us closer to the attire.

"Sir, you can buy this attire. But..remember, it's too costly."

He doesn't know me, I guess

"You don't worry about the money. I am there to take care of that. Nandini do u like it?"

It was obvious from her face, that she liked it..but still just for confirming, I asked her the same

" Manik. I don't like it."

I was shocked. But the shock was for a moment only. As she said,

"I loveee it!!!"

She said, with happiness in her voice.

"Okay, then go try it."

She nodded and left to try the dress.

**Nandini **

The dress is so beautiful. No one has ever taken care of me like this ever. I am not saying my parents haven't, but Manik is special. He is.. Different.

Anyways, let me try the dress first.

It was perfect for me. I felt, as if it's made for me and I am made for it. But, I didn't show the dress to manik.

He asked me why..I just replied,

"Roke par dekh lena. Aj sham hi to hai"

He made a grumpy face. But still, didn't oppose my decision.

Later, we left to take Manik's clothes. He bought a kurta pyjama of the same color as my dress. I felt, as if it was planned by him. But I just ignored.

We also bought clothes for Navya and cabir and after having some fun, left for our respective houses.

Now I was waiting for tonight. A night, that will change my life. I will be called Nandini Manik Malhotra not Nandini Murthy. I will be Manik's.

Is my decision right? Of marrying him? Of trusting him? Am I doing the right thing? What If he too betrays me? There is still time Nandini.

Think. Think. Think.
