from now i will be showing the flashback....it is quite lengthy so i made it into two chapters.....

       meeting you was fate , becoming your friend was a choice , but falling in love with you was beyond my control.......

manik was standing there numb only one thought was running in his mind..." Aryan manik malhotra...how..shouldn't he be Aryan dhruv vedant...."

there was a storm of emotions crumbling him....he knew his emotions were all over the place so he silently moved to the next room and close the room as he did not want Aryan to witness his break down.......

 by the time manik closed the door Aryan finally realize what had happened....he realized the blunder he made.....tears started flowing through his eyes as he thought his father hates him....so he ran downstairs into the living room and took his phone to call his mom......

but suddenly he remembered his mumma asked him not to call her as the person who is attacking will be able to trace their calls......

not knowing what to do he finally started crying badly...." you lied to me mumma....a-aap ne kaha tha...papa loves me....he is waiting for me....lekin he hates me....it is all because of me...i am sorry mumma....apne bola tha not to reveal my identity....lekin maine jaan booch kar nahi kiya....." he cried.....

in the next room....

manik was staring aimlessly at nandini's picture.....he caressed her picture and muttered..." h-he is my s-s-son..." " lekin kaise....he should have been dhruv's son right....after all you got married to him..."......

then he remembered that night when they were together.." oh god...ye maine kya kar diya.....how could i be so stupid....aaj whatever is happening is all because of me....agar uss din maine tumhe rok liya hota to today we would have been together....as a family....mujhe aaj bhi vo din yaad hai when i lost you forever....maine uss din apna pyaar hi nahi balki apna best friend ko bhi khoya tha...."

with this he drifted in to the memory lane......

manik and nandini were best friends since childhood as their mothers were best friends.......they use to spend their every summer vacation together as nandini used to live in Delhi while manik stayed in Mumbai....

nandini was a quite girl from the start mostly due to her family background....and our manik was a care free soul...they always had a dream of completing their college together...so after a lot of convincing nandini's father finally agreed to send her to study with manik in S.P.A.C.E.......

manik and nandini were jubilant with this news.....apart from nandini manik had a best friend dhruv...his buddy.....after nandini joined S.P.A.C.E.....the trio became best friends...nandini also had a great friendship with dhruv but she was unaware of the increasing jealousy of manik.....

where ever manik use to see dhruv and nandini together he used to feel uneasy.....he always used to think..." what is happening to me....why is it bothering ki nandini is so close with dhruv....in fact i was the one who wanted her to befriend dhruv and now when they have become good friends then why don't i like it....why do i feel so insecure....why do i feel so possessive for nandini....do i...do i love her..." just as this thought came a bright smile came on his face as realization hit him..." oh god i love her.....pari ke aiyappa thank you for making me realize this.....i love my pari.....i can't wait to confess my feelings to her..." he thought laying on his bed smiling brightly......

the door of his room opened and dhruv entered in with frowns on his forehead and his shoulders were stiff.....looking at dhruv manik immediately got up being worried for him...

" kya hua dhruv....tum yaha...kuch hua hai kya.....tum itne tensed kyu ho...." manik asked worriedly.....

" wo manik....tension ki baat nahi hai....it's just i am a little stressed....i just hope i do not mess up any thing...." dhruv spoke frowning making manik confused.....

" mess up...kya mess up buddy..." manik asked......

" wo i am taking nandini on a date tonight...." dhruv said not knowing what effects his words were having on manik.....who literally felt that he had been stabbed in his heart.......

" nandini....she agreed....she doesn't love me....is liye she agreed with dhruv.....aur main soch raha tha ki she loves me too...." he thought painfully and walked out of his room not knowing that dhruv had forgotten to mention a little detail that he still had not asked nandini for the date........

that evening dhruv asked nandini for the date who immediately rejected saying him that he is nothing more than a friend to her......after that nandini tried calling manik but every time he cut the call........

finally not finding any option she finally decided to trace his phone.....she reached the place to see it was a bar....she entered in only to be hit with the strong smell of alcohol and loud music blazing through the speakers.......

she roamed her eyes across the bar and finally located him sitting in the corner of the bar.....there manik malhotra was drinking trying to forget his pain....nandini straight away marched towards him and shouted..." manik....what the hell are you doing here...." manik was startled on finding her there and was just looking at her......

on seeing manik not reacting to her nandini grabbed his collar and jerked him up and asked..." manik....answer me....tum yaha kya kar rahe ho.....do you even know how worried i was....tumhe pata hai maine tumhe kitne calls kiye....."not listening to her manik touched her cheek  and whispered dreamily ...." you are here....tum sach me yaha ho....."

nandini got pissed and replied...." tho where do you think i would be right now...." listening this dhruv's words again came into manik's mind and he shook his head to clear them and spoke almost inaudibly...." no..no dhruv can't take you away...you are mine only mine...." with this manik moved closer to her lips to kiss her as to show his rights.......

if it would have been some other time then nandini would have not stopped manik but today she could clearly smell the strong alcohol smell from him indicating that he was badly drunk so getting a grip on her emotions she lightly pushed manik and whispered " manik you are drunk...."

but manik thought that she is pushing him away because of dhruv.....so he got angry and he grabbed her waist and kissed her harshly.......though nandini resisted in the beginning but eventually she gave in when her emotions over powered her rational side and the kiss became more passionate......after what seems like eternity they broke apart gasping for air......but manik still din't leave the contact with her skin as he kept peppering kisses from her neck to her shoulder......this brought nandini out of her trance and she pushed manik and whispered...." manik we need to stop....let's go home...."

with this nandini caught his hand and took him out of the bar and they both reached manik's house.....after reaching malhotra mansion she supported manik by holding his waist as he was not able to walk properly....after entering the room and covering manik with a blanket she turned to go when suddenly she felt a hand stopping her......manik at once pulled her towards him and nandini fell on manik......looking in nandini's eyes manik whispered...." don't go pari..."

with this he again moved closer to kiss her....nandini knew it was wrong.....she knew manik was not in his senses.....she knew he might regret it the next morning....she knew she had to stop him now.....but one look in his eyes made her forget about all these things.....he was staring at her with all the love he had for her in his eyes.....and she gave in to him because even though there were many uncertainties.....one thing she was certain of was the love they have for each there......

and what followed that night was the moans and groans of both as they passionately marked each other with their love......uniting them forever as manan.........

next day when manik woke up he sat on his bed and looked beside him to see nandini sleeping peacefully covered in a white duvet.....he smiled seeing her sleep so peacefully but suddenly a memory of him kissing her harshly came into his mind wiping the smile on his face......he tried remembering but he was not able to remember any thing else..only one thought came in his mind that he forced her...tensed he got up from the bed and wore his clothes and started pacing in the room.....

" oh god yeh maine kya kardiya.....how could i do it....nandini and dhruv love each other aur main........ i forced her......how can i force her......now nandini will definetly hate me......and buddy how will i face him....." manik thought feeling guilty......

meanwhile nandini woke up and saw manik....she called him..." manik " manik turned towards her and hurriedly spoke...." listen nandini whatever happened yesterday shouldn't have happened....i am really sorry for that...... it was m-my mi-mistake......" he said painfully and left from there leaving a heartbroken nandini behind......

" he  thinks it was a mistake.....he feels sorry for what happened between us.....but it was not a mistake for me manik....." she whispered as a tear rolled down from her eyes......

one simple misunderstanding managed to destroy three lives.....
