after reading the letter manik was numb...the letter slipped out of his hand as he stared at the boy in front of him.....not able to control his emotions he left to the room where his pari's portrait was present.......after getting inside he locked the room and stared at the portrait with tears flowing through his eyes......

" why ? " he shouted with tears in his eyes.....

" why.....i loved you pari.....i still love you...kyu kiya tumne aisa....pehle to at least i had a hope to get you back....lekin ab.....he is your s-son..you moved on.......kaash maine usi din bata diya hota ki i love you....kaash main uss din chup nahi rahta tho now the situation would have been different....he would have been m-my s-son.....kaash main tumhari engagement dhruv se nahi hone deta.....but now it's too late...." manik cried out.....

" these seven years i tried forgetting you....lekin nahi ho paya....you live in my heart pari......to main tumhe apne aap se kaise door kar sakta hoon jab you live in me.....i want to shout at you and be angry....but i know even i am equally responsible for you leaving me......you asked me to protect him right i will....after all he is your son...your part.....i don't know what danger you are talking about....but i will protect him with my life..this is the only way of redeeming my sin...and when you will come back i will ask your forgiveness...i love you nandini..." manik said and left to down stairs after wiping his tears......

living room.....

manik walked to the man who was still standing with a stiff face......

"wo..." manik trailed off not knowing what to say......

" Mr.malhotra our lady boss must have informed you that our young master will be staying here " the man said with black face......

" ab ye young master kaun hai " manik thought with a confused face....seeing the confused face the man pointed at the 6 year old boy telling he is the young master.....

seeing him manik made an oh face and nodded at him to continue.....

" he will be staying here for a week....since i will be going back now it is your duty to take care of him..." he said with a serious face which scared manik a little but he did not show it....after all he is manik malhotra how can he show his fears to others.......

manik then walked to the boy kneeled down before him and introduced himself.......

" hi i am manik malhotra " he said forwarding his hand and waiting for the boy's reply who was only staring at him......

2 minutes....

4 minutes.....

6 minutes have passed......the boy was still staring at him....

not getting any reply he took his hand back with a frown and asked " what happened baby ?....is something wrong.....why are you not saying anything "

just like that a sudden thought hit him that the boy can't speak...." i am sorry baby....i did not know you were mute...." manik said feeling bad for the boy.....

listening this sentence the man frowned and said " our young master is not mute....it's just that he won't talk if he does not want to...."

manik made an oh face and turned to the man to introduce himself after realizing that the conversation with the boy is not going to happen anytime  soon....

" hi....i am manik malhotra" he said forwarding his hand....." cabir dhawan " tha man said shaking his hand.....

manik looked at the boy and then at cabir as if asking the boy's name...." young master's name is Aryan " cabir said understanding his gesture.....

" Aryan....such a beautiful name.....you remembered pari..." he thought and drifted into flash back.......

nandini and manik were talking staring at the stars in the sky laying down on the floor of manik's terrace......suddenly manik got a thought and turned towards nandini.....

" pari " he called her sweetly....while nandini just hmmed playing with the buttons of his shirt.....

" pari look at me " manik called again....this time nandini lifted her head to see manik staring at her...." kya hai mani..." she asked pouting cutely....manik awwed on his cute best friend and kissed her cheeks....

" wo i decided something " he said smiling brightly....now nandini got curious to know what it is.....

" kya " she asked.....

" wo...i got an idea...agar in future if you have a girl...you will keep her name Myra....if it is a boy you will keep Aryan " he said with finality in his voice....while listening this nandini burst out laughing....

" oh god mani...tum ye soch rahe the...seriously....tum bhul gaye kya we are only 18..." she said controlling her laugh...... manik made a bad face seeing her laughing at him.....

seeing manik's sad face....nandini kissed his cheek and said.." ok mani....i will keep the names you said...."

seeing manik lost in his thoughts....cabir called him breaking his trance.....

" Mr.malhotra...." he said...." huh" manik told coming out of the trance.....

" Mr.malhotra....you seem to be lost some where..." he said....listening mr.malhotra manik frowned and said " cabir...please call me by my name...mr.malhotra seems to be too formal"

cabir nodded and said" ok manik....i wanted to inform that i am leaving...already bohot late ho chuka hai...i have a flight to catch..."

manik nodded and escorted him to the entrance....after cabir drove off....he came back to the living room and slumped on the sofa beside Aryan feeling tired.......feeling somebody's gaze on him he turned to his side to see Aryan staring at him......
