~His arms are my home~

"Tell na.. Bhabhi or nandini.? " He asked, walking near me.

Jaan or star, that's what he calls me. But now. His words made me feel I betrayed him. But it's true indeed I did. I held Aarav closer as if he was going to protect me. 

I looked up at his black eyes, which held so much anger and pain, which was always filled with love and soft,"I.. 

"Bhabhi... " Nandini started shivering, hiding in aarav 's neck who , mumbling something to himself, looking around. All turned to see prithvi standing with an angry look seeing manik closer to nandini. 

"She is my wife, so you should call her bhabhi, right ma. " Prithvi said walking near them, standing beside nandini pulled her into his chest holding her waist tightly. Manik just glaring at him and her with red eyes. 

"Welcome back brother.. You came so late that I took all your possessions. " Prithvi said, smirking, angered manik. Their parents were so worried, cabir and mukthi had glaring at prithvi with hatred. No one stood a girl stood with pale face  looking like she faint anytime. 

"Hahahahaha.. " Manik started laughing, suddenly making everyone frown, except Nandini who looked down and aarav looked at Manik hearing his sound, and smiled with his salivating mouth. 

"Is he gone mad?" Mukthi whispered to cabir. 

"Maybe, without Nandini I think he will become completely mental. " Cabir said shrugging his shoulder,  mukthi gave him dirty look. 

"You forgot manik malhotra don't let his possession go away from. Him. It's his thing or any fav person of his.. " Manik said last words, glancing at Nandini who looked up at him at the same time. Manik's eyes become soft after seeing her eyes. Prithvi gritted his teeth seeing their eye lock. 

"Beta... You go and fresh up, you took a long flight and must be tired. " Neyonika said immediately to stop the tension. 

Prithvi just walked up glaring at nandini who immediately followed him ignoring manik, who was burning both with his eyes. 

"Happy now... I don't know what you guys get to destroy my life and make your elder son happy. " Manik growled and left from there. 

Manik 's parents stood in tears, "Raj, we should say everything to Manik first.. Or else he might do something worse which will hurt nandini or aarav. "

"Yes nayonika, we should tell the truth. Raj said in a neutral tone.

"Ahhh.. " Nandini shouted when Prithvi twisted her arms behind and pulled her closer to his chest. 

"Please leave me.. " She cried in pain. 

"I won't, how fucking dare you speak with him? Is it old love awake seeing him.." He asked angrily, pressing her arms.  Aarav started crying, hearing his shout, and seeing his amma crying. 

"No.. Ahh.. Please.... " She stammered in pain but bit her lips to control from shouting which will scare aarav. 

"Keep it mind, if I fucking see you near him again.... Forget about aarav. " Nandini looked at him in shock, Prithvi smirked, leaving her with a jerk. 

"You know I can do anything.. So be careful. " He warned and walked out banging the door behind. Aarav was startled by the sound and started crying again. Nandini trance broken rushed to aarav took him in her arm, rock to and fro slowly to make him calm down. His crying didn't stop, he struggled more into her chest making her realise she didn't feed him still. 

She opened her blouse, rubbed her bud on his lips who immediately started sucking in hunger, and nandini covered him with pallu. 

Tears rolled down her eyes, "Ayyappa!! I always ask for happiness in my life. But you snatched my father first, turned my mother inti monster who hit me, starve me, make me do worst for her, second her husband who see me as punching bag hit me whenever he want.Ii was happy when manik entered my life, he gave me arms to cry, mother warmth, and love which I was missing years but you snatched him from me. He hates me now.. He does.. Now I have only aarav.. Pls don't take him.. I will die without him..

" She looked down in tears aarav looking at with a mile, sucking the milk, which was flowing down his mouth. She smiled and whipped it, "mumma loves you so much baby.. Don't leave me. I will die.. I can't live without you." She said as if he was going to understand it, but all he smiled and giggled while holding her saree.

Days passed, nandini avoided manik to her maximum which angered manik alot, but didn't burst out till. But how long the storm can be silent, one day it will burst. 

She stays in her room all day to avoid any encounters with manik, who always finds a way to taunt or touch her, which brings back old feelings. Her heart still belongs to manik which she can't deny but prithvi warning not leaving her mind. 

"Aarav.. Shh... Wait, let amma and baby go out." Nandini said, getting down from bed. Aarav is not sleeping at all. Prithvi didn't come home still, it's his habit he always comes home when he wants or sometimes for days he won't return, no one dares to ask him. 

Nandini walked to the garden where many flowers were planted , the favourite place of mother and son. She hugged Aarav closer to her, between slaw.

She looked at the flower too deep , forgetting it. 

"Manik, why are you bringing books or goods whenever you see.? "

"Why are you asking for it? "

"No, I see in movies, bf always brings flowers and chocolate for their gf. But you bring books or good why? " She asked. Manik pecked her lips making her blush. 

"Because it is a fake. It's a movie full of acting baba. Flowers and chocolate are not going to define anyone's love baby. These books and food are necessary for you. Did you see yourself? You are not more than a skeleton in a biology lab. Eat well and study.. My nandu wants to be a teacher na. Is it her dream? "

He said seriously with a soft look, and Nandini nodded in tears. 

"I always give my star which is best.She needs this.. And me.. Only na. " Manik said leaning closer, Nandini hugged him tightly. 

"I need only you, don't leave me. " She said in fear. 

"Not even in your dreams, even if you leave me.. I will search and trap you into manik malhotra arms.. No escaping nandini malhotra. " He hugged her tightly, knowing she was blushing like a tomato hearing nandini malhotra. 

"You can.. I love this place. " She murmured, slipping into deep sleep. 

"I wish you caged me in your arms forever manik. " She said, whipping her tear remembering their past.

"I will.. " She got numb hearing his whisper, felt a hot breath behind her ear soon replaced by his lips, making her body alive again. 

"I know you hiding something... My star is so bad at lying Or hiding.. You know it na jaana." He whispered softly, keeping his chin on her shoulder, looked down at aarav who giggled seeing him. Unknowingly manik to smile, he should hate him for snatching his star from him, but he like this kid. 

"No.. I am not hiding anything. " She stammered and tried to stand but Manik immediately held her waist and pulled her closer to him, making it more difficult for her. 

"You know I don't have much patience, nandini... Tell me why the hell did you marry him when I said clearly I will come back in one year, why the hell do you break the promise you made?.. TELL ME DAMMIT. " He yelled, holding her arms tightly, which made her yell in pain. 

Manik frowned as he didn't press that harder, nandini held crying aarav tightly when her slaw from left shoulder removed revealing her wounds to manik who's eyes widened in shock. She wearing t shirt which is so visible

"How... " Manik stammered slowly, she looked at his gaze hide her arms immediately with her slaw try to run but he pulled her behind

"How did it happened nandini? " He asked in anger, she looked everywhere, not him. Aarav leaned closer to manik and held his shirt, seeing she was not answering. Picking her in his arms made her shout, aarav laughed as he loved the ride. 

"Ma.. Manik.. Put me down... " She yelled whisperly, looking around if anyone saw or prithvi came. But Manik ignored and took her to his room banging the door behind. 

"What the.." Mukthi and cabir stood in shock seeing manan in that state. 

"What the duck should I check my eyes on? " Cabir said, palming his eyes. 

"You should.. But seriously why is he taking her at night? That bitch.. "

"Mukthi.. He still loves her." Cabir warned Mukthi who gave whatever look and walked away. 

Cabir sighed looking up, "nandini ayyappa, make these two crazy one together then only I will get married.. I can't die a virgin. "

"Manik... No.. " Nandini held the slaw other end, manik held other end. Aarav laying on bed giggling seeing her mother and manik fighting tug war. 

"Nandini leave it.. " He warned me of tugging on the other end. 

"No.. You leave it. " She said angrily, pulling her side. Manik pulled his side, aarav looking to and from between them, crawled near her mother, which diverted her attention. Manik, using it, snatched the slaw from her. 

His eyes widened, seeing visible marks on her neck, arms. He failed to notice before she always wears a full sleeved and high neck blouse. 

He walked near her, kneeling down, caressing it, seeing the wound in her body is not new for him. When they were in love, her mother used to beat her. He will heal it every day in college. But now.. 

"Is it painful? " He asked looking up at her with tears, nandini looked down biting her lips. He just pulled her into his arms and hugged her right, that she cried louder in his arms which she stored for one year. His arms are always a home for her, every pain, sadness etc will run away when she is with him. 

"Shh.. It's ok. I am here.. You are fine.. " He said soft words, making her calm down. 

"He.. Manik.. He.. Beat me....hee starves me.. Like amma.. I cry or beg.... He.. He didn't listen.. At night.. He... " She sobbed harder, Manik palmed her mouth to stop her from talking. 

"It's over.. He won't touch you anymore.. ... I am here. Your manik is here. " He said, whipping her tears, nandini nodded but immediately pushed manik who had fallen on the ground due to an imbalance. 

"No.. No.. Manik goes away... He will kill.. He will kill you.. Manik.. No. No.. Manik goes away.." She said like a lost soul repeating the same line holding aarav close to her. 

Manik, heartbroken seeing her state, got up and sat beside her on bed, who crawled more behind till she hit the bedrest. 

"No.. No.. He will kill you.... Aarav..nooo." She shouted when manik pulled her into him carefully without hurting both nandini and aarav. 

"Nandini.. Jaana.. He won't do anything. He won't.. Shh calm down. " He said, whipping her tears.  She was shivering and murmuring something. 

"Manik.. He said.. He will kill you, our baby.. I can't lose you two. " She said looking at him, Manik became numb and murmured, "WhatWhat? our baby? "

Nandini trance broken, looked at him and down aarav who was chewing his thumb, "Our baby.. .. Aarav is our baby. '' She said the truth which he was hiding for so long. 

Manik became shocked hearing it, "Shock right? " She gave a bitter smile, "Even ... You thought I was pregnant with his child.. But how could you think I will sleep with him manik.. " She asked him with angry and tearful eyes. Manik looked away feeling disgusted with himself. 

"I gave my life to you manik. This body, soul, heart all belong to you no one else. " She said, crying. 

 Cabir, mukthi, prithvi even her mother and her husband all think aarav is prithvi's son. But only raj nyonika and she know it's manik and nandini's son. 

"Look at her... " Nandini removed the aarav shirt that showed a mole on his left side which the same manik has. 

"How could you not realise he is your son... Mom found out the second she saw him.. He was like you. " She said, crying looking down. Manik looked at Aarav in tears who giggled and played with his shirt, chewing it. Now he understands why he feels so attached to Aarav. He was his blood, his son. 

He touched Aarav's head with shivering hands who looked at him with widened eyes and giggled, mumbling something in his language. 

"Why did Prithvi marry you? He was going to marry Soha right.. Why did you marry him? " He asked in anger, looking at Nandini who looked at him with a neutral face.
