Abhimanyu Pov.

I sat near the bar, scrolling on my phone until I heard the door opening and then Manik walked in with  sleeping Maria he looked at me with an angry annoyed face.

Thanks to my stars he went upstairs without saying a word.

As far as I remember from the earlier conversation.

I messaged him about Nandini's alliance with Arnav on which I got his message of him being ready to marry my sister but to cancel my new crocked plan.

We didn't exchange a single word just send each other a message.

That's it.

Nandini entered the house after along time.

She stared at my face with a blind expression until she walked towards me with angry steps and a red nose.

And when she stood right infront of my face she had tears flowing from her eyes.

Nan: What's going on in this house bhai ?
She shouted loudly while I looked at her confused.

I had expected Manik to come towards me and ask me this question not Nandini.

She loved Manik, right ?

She should be happy that I changed my decision then why is she so upset.

Abhi: Related to what ?
I asked being unsure.

Nan: Everything.
She frowned and looked behind me.

Mukti stood with two mugs of coffee as she walked out of the kitchen.

Mu: You want some coffee ?
She asked with a smile looking at Nandini.

Nan: NO
She shouted again.

She looked at me with angry eyes.

Nan: What's wrong between you and Mukti bhabhi ?
She asked looking at Mukti.

Abhi: We had some misunderstanding, nothing to worry about, everything is sorted.
I answered looking at Mukti taking the coffee mug from her hand.

Abhi: You okay now ?
I asked giving her my mug.

Nan: No and no to the coffee too.
She shouted pushing the mug away from her.

Nan: Who is Harshad ?
She questioned Mukti with an accusation.

Nan: Why was he waiting for you outside our gate ?
She said making me look at Mukti now.

Abhi: What ?
I stood up from my chair pushing the mug away on the island until I saw Manik coming downstairs.

I decided to go outside to confront that moron but was stopped by Manik.

Man: We need to talk.
He said eying me angrily.

Nan: He isn't there outside anymore.
She said walking to me.

While Manik stared at me in confusion.

Abhi: What did he tell you ?
I asked Nandini while she looked at Manik angrily

Nan: That Mukti had called him to talk about something.
She answered while I looked at Mukti for an explanation.

Mu: No, I didn't call him.
She said quickly looking at me with panick.

Abhi: We will deal with it afterwards.
I told her looking away while Nandini holded my hands.

Nan: I'm not yet done.
She said making me face her again.

Nan: You decided I will be studying in Mumbai for my post graduation and become a cardio ?
She asked angrily.

Abhi: Yes, you have got nice marks and the Mumbai college is highly reputative and moreover you wanted to become a cardiologist.
I said putting my hand on her head.

Nan: My result came out three days back and I didn't even know.
She facepalmed herself being confused.

Abhi: There were so many things going on.
I reasoned while she looked at me angrily.

Nan: Bangalore too has many reputative college infact best of best for medicine then why did you decide to fill my preference form for Mumbai
She shouted on me angrily.

Abhi: You are getting married to Manik in a month or two.
I told her while I saw Manik rolling his eyes from corner of my eyes.

Nan: You decided about me getting engaged to Manik without asking me for once and now marriage ?
She said while I looked at her now angrily.

Abhi: You told me, you love him.
I shouted on her being frustrated.

Why was Mukti giving me so much stress regarding her ex lover.

Might be she didn't call him and he was here lying.

Ofcourse that moron was lying.

Mukti loves me and she won't play with my feelings like this, she surely won't.

Nan: So ?
She shouted equally loud enough.

Abhi: So what, what's the problem in getting married to him then ?
I asked her pointing at Manik who stood quietly now.

Nan: He is still married ? And what about all we talked about ?
She questioned me with more tears flowing from her eyes.

Why was everything so difficult ?

Why can't this all be simple.

Abhi: He is getting a divorce infact Soha has already signed the papers.
I said looking at Manik who raise his one eyebrow in surprise.

Man : Really ?
He asked me with venom.

Now I was being cornered by both of them.

I never thought  they both will ask questions or look for answers from me together.

Abhi: She send the papers for you here.
I spoke calmly looking at him

Man : Yeah right !
He replied sarcastically.

Man : Wait a second, are you sure she didn't walk right in this house to sign the papers or have a meeting for the entire setting or business loss done by you for my gain.
He asked while I rolled my eyes.

Abhi: No.
I told sarcastically shrugging my shoulders as he already knew she was here.

Man: What's the deal ?
He asked while Nandini stood next to me looking at us both quitely and Mukti too stood behind me listening quietly just like Nandini.

Abhi: To sign the divorce papers.
I said casually moving to sit on the couch.

Man: Where are they ?
He asked walking to me.

Abhi: On that table.
I replied pointing at them.

He walked to the table took a pen from his pocket and signed on them without saying another word more.

While I looked at him bewildering.

Wow, No more questions.

Man: Next week's date will be fine for the engagement ?
He asked Nandini while I walked towards him to take the papers from his hands.

I was more than surprise.

Infact it was a miracle.

He really signed them without any questions.

Can anyone believe that ?

Abhi: Ofcourse it is okay.
I told him with a excitement.

Man: I'm asking your sister ?
He replied with a glare.

Abhi: Ohh right.
I looked at Nandini for an answer.

Who nodded her head.

Abhi: That's great.
I exclaimed clapping my both hands in excitement.

I was so happy.

My bestfriend will marry my sister.

I looked at Mukti.

Who was already looking at me.

Abhi: So tomorrow we will talk about others stuffs how everything will be planned for now I'm tired.
I spoke while I walked with the papers upstairs.

Nandini Pov.

He signed the divorce papers.

Really ???

Abhi: I will get them submitted and registered. Don't worry about that man.
My brother said laughing still staring at the papers from upstairs.

He looked so happy and all excited.

As if a child has got his favourite lollipop.

Mukti soon followed him upstairs.

While now I and Manik we both stood facing each other.

I had many more questions to ask bhai but I will asked them later might be tomorrow and I'm not leaving Bangalore for sure not at any cost.

Manik walked towards the bar and filled himself a glass of drink he then looked back at me

Man: Is this much assurances, okay for you Nandini ?
He asked while I looked at him being surprise.

I didn't say anything while he stared at me with blood shot red eyes.

He walked towards me and repeated the same question again.

Man: Is this much assurances Okay for you Nandini Murthy ?
His eyes had anger and hurt.

Nan: No.
I said looking in his eyes.

Nan: No, Manik Malhotra it's not okay.
I said with tears flowing from my eyes now.

He stared at my flowing tears and his hard expression soften while seeing me crying.

Nan: You heard, it's not okay.
I shouted at him pulling his shirt.

I know I was being over dramatic but I was confused, frustrated and moreover tired.

I was emotionally drain.

There were so many Why's running in my head that I wanted to shut my mind and sleep peacefully.

Nan: I don't know what's going on.
I said taking my hand away from him while I kneel down on my feet.

Nan: Bhai he is sending me to Mumbai, even without asking me.
I told him sobbing more and more.

Nan: We are getting engaged and no one even told me or didn't even ask me about that, morning I had met a guy for marriage and evening I get news about our engagement, and now about our marriage too.
I said looking at me as I sat on the floor crying my heart out.

I hate looking so vulnerable while he stared at me now with sad eyes.

Nan: I don't know what's going on.
I have no control over my own life.
I said looking at him while wiping my tears.

Nan: I wish Amms would be here to hold me and make me understand just like old times.
I said looking in distance remembering old days.

Man: You don't need her.
He told me as he sat down next to me.

While I stared at him.

Man : You don't need anyone when I'm there.
He said wiping my tears and cupping my faces.

Man: Nothing will happen without your consent not even our engagement or your admission.
He said and kissed my forehead as a promise.

To make it seal from him to me.
