First day
At college

A girl just entered the college gate. Another girl was following her but when she couldn't match her speed she said,

Girl:- Nandini Murthy, don't you know it's so rude to ditch your best friend. Please slow down your robotic speed.

Nandini:- If you keep walking like a snail then I am not waiting for you Ms. Navya Navili.

Navya:- How rude. Tere jaisa friend ho to log ek hi din mein slim ho jayega.

Nandini:- Did you ever see yourself in the mirror?

Navya:- Yeah, I am so pretty right?

Nandini:- No, you are so fatty.

Navya:- Ya joke tha? Sorry hasi nahi aayi. Tune khud ko kabhi dekha hai? Ice cream ki stick ki tarah dikhte hai tu. Mujhe to lagta hai ek din hawa ma udh hi jayagi tu.

Nandini:- Apna bakwaas bandh kar or jaldi chal. I don't want to be late on the very first day of my college.

Navya:- Oh god kya hoga is larki ka? Koi isko samjhao ki hum school ka bacche nahi rahe jo late hone ke liye teacher punishment dagi.

Nandini:- It's useless to talk to you.

Writer's pov:- Meet Nandini Murthy, our heroine of the story. She is such an introverted girl. She is the school topper and a totally bookish nerd. As usual her life was super boring until she met her best friend Navya Navili at the last year of school. Well what should I say about her? Navya is a chota packet bada dhamaka type of girl. Only she could make the school topper sit on the back bench. Heroin sa jiyada uska best friend ki tarif karna thik nahi hoga. So age dekhta hai kya hota hai.

Nandini was walking beside the basketball court while reading her class schedule. Seniors were playing basketball there when someone hit the basketball and it came towards her but before that ball could hit the back side of her head a boy literally hugged her and caught the ball on time. He threw it towards them and said,

Boy:- Watch it guys.

Saying this he left but Nandini kept standing there like a statue. Navya immediately came there and said,

Navya:- Oh my god. He hugged you. Do you know how lucky you are?

Nandini:- He just saved me. There is nothing to be lucky about.

Navya:- You are lucky indeed. Do you know who he is?

Nandini:- I don't know and I don't want to know. But if I meet him again I will definitely thank him for saving me.

Navya:- You are so so so boring.

Before Navya could sulk more Nandini held her hand and dragged her to the classroom. After attending their last class Navya said,

Navya:- Oh god my head is spinning. How could you hear their lectures so attentively? Tomorrow I am bunking English class for sure. It's so boring and that professor is very rude. You will give my attendance and I don't know how you will do that.

Nandini:- You won't change for good right?

Navya:- Why do you want to change this cute little friend of yours?

Nandini:- You are not only my cute little friend but also a lazy ass.

Navya:- Well being lazy is an art and only a few people can be an artist. You are definitely not on the list.

Nandini:- (rolling eyes) Whatever. I am going home. See you tomorrow if you manage to pull your lazy ass out of your bedroom on time.

Navya:- Ha ha ha. Very funny.

Navya's house was a little far from the college so she took a taxi and went home. But Nandini lived nearby the college. So she decided to walk. She was thinking about today's incident while crossing the road. How that boy came like a knight and saved her today. She was so lost in her thoughts that she almost got hit by a car when someone pulled her aside on time and slapped her. Nandini looked at the person holding her right cheek in pain and it was the same boy who saved her in the morning. He pulled out her glasses from her eyes and said,

Boy:- If these glasses don't work at all then what's the use of wearing it?

Saying this he left there without returning her glasses. She rubbed her cheek in pain as his five finger got painted on her beautiful cheek. Nandini felt very insulted as he had slapped her on the road and now people were staring at her only. Not able to handle their pity stare she started walking towards home as soon as possible.
