As soon as she opened her eyes, her ears started to ache happily with the thunder of claps. She smiled beamingly at everyone, bowed and then descended the stairs.

She had always had a passion of singing and this restaurant has been giving her the happiness to show her talent on weekends. She used to come and sing and get appreciated for her melodic voice.

"One orange juice please"

She ordered at the counter and then heard: 

"Chehra hai ya chand khila, surkh ghaneri shaam hai kya, saagar jaisi aankhon wali, ye to bta tera naam hai kya"

She turned around and looked in front to see a boy smiling charmily at her.

Oh! Flirt. With Nandini?

"Ja re ja oh jhute, teri gallan hum na maane,

Kyu tareefe karta hai tu, hum to sab kuch jaane"

She murmured the song, smirking at the boy.

"Chad di jawani tera, gora gora rang ni,

Gora gora rang kare, mitra nu tang ni"

The boy sang in return, making Nandini's eyes wider for a second.

"Hatt re nigode, neem ke pakode,

peecha kyu na chhode ghume daaye baaye,

tujhko sudhharu, jutti main utaru,

sar pe de maaru tere dhaaye dhaaye"

Nandini sang, drinking her orange juice in between.

"Tauba tumhare yeh ishare

Hum to deewane hai tumhare

Raaz yeh kaise khol rahi ho

Tum aankhon se bol rahi ho

Jaadoo aate hai tumko sare"

The boy said, sitting on the adjacent seat.

"Bikhra Bikhra Bematlab Sa, Toota Phoota Jeena,

Aur Kahte Ho Alag Se Hain Hum Taan Ke Apna Seena"

Nandini said, stifling her laughter.

"Kasam Ki Kasam Hai Kasam Se

Jee Rahe The Hum Tere Dum Se

Ab Yeh Pyaar Na Hoga Phir Humse"

The boy said, looking straight to her eyes.

Nandini looked at him and then got up to leave.

"Oh lal one piece wali, apna naam to bta"

The boy said to which she couldn't stop smiling.

"Dekhungi, sochungi, kal parso kuch kahungi"

Nandini turned smiling widely, singing along.

"Ke thoda thoda pyaar, hai tumse

Ke thoda thoda pyaar, hai tumse"

The boy sang, holding her hand.

Nandini sighed and sang,

"Ab thak chuke, hain ye kadam,

chal kahin baithe, mere humdum"

The boy chuckled. They then sat on the sofa.

"Hmm, so what is your name?"

"Manik"

"I see! So what is the reason behind this flirting and all?"

"Well, I have been coming here in weekends to relieve myself from my 9 to 5 job and it's been two months that I have been listening your performance. From the listeners here, I got to know a little about you and to be honest, I have a deep liking towards you."

"Your voice is nice." Nandini said smiling.

"Nice way to divert the topic." Manik said smiling.

Nandini sighed.

"See Manik. I am not a person to believe in love and all that. All my life I have seen broken relationships and-"

"Not every relationship is same."

"They always accused each other for the false deeds-"

"Not every relationship is same."

"They fought with each other and then resolved their fights through making-"

"Not every relationship is same." He said once again.

"What do you want to hear from me?"

"I want to hear nothing Nandini. I just want to tell you and make you realise that every relationship is different. It doesn't matter how have you witnessed the relationships in the past, all that matters is the kind of person you get and I can be that for you."

"But I know nothing about you other than your name."

"My dadi married my dadu without seeing him and still they had such immense love for each other that they died together. Love has nothing to do with the information about the partner. I know your name, a little about your likings, I love your voice and now, I love your company too. And I think it is enough for me to propose you."

"So you know about my likings na? Then let's test it. Go to the stage and sing my favourite song."

"Whatt?"

"Yeah! Go do it" Nandini challenged.

"But I have social anx-"

"Scared, are you?"

Manik took a deep breath. He then got up from the stage and then went to the stage. He was shivering because one, he didn't know her favourite song and two, he had social anxiety since he was 11 years old.

He sat on the stool and held the mic.

He closed his eyes and saw his grandparents, dancing on Jab Koi Baat Bigad Jaye

Nandini gasped and put her hand on her mouth. By no chance had she ever confessed her favourite song to anybody and he knew it. Was it a coincidence? But how on earth from a million songs did he sang the song she loved?

Manik sang the whole song looking into her eyes as if assuring her of the love she would get in her share. As he ended, the crowd appreciated him with a thunder of claps. He stood up and looked at everybody. His head started spinning and in no time, he fainted.

Hospital

Manik opened his eyes and hissed in pain due to the headache.

"Are you stupid? Keep laying down!" He heard and quickly opened his eyes to witness a teary-eyed Nandini.

He got up suddenly.

"Are you mad? You are not well! Keep laying down."

"You? Here?"

"So what? What was the need to go to the stage and sing if you had social anxiety?"

"I had to prove na that I love you."

"You are very bad! I hate you!" She said crying.

"But I love you." Manik said smiling.

She hugged him murmuring SORRY. He hugged her back.

She broke the hug after sometime and then looked into his eyes.

They then repeated together and smiled hugging each other again.

So here is the another update which I got the idea when I was listening to song.

This OS proves that music is a wonderful language that can make you confess your love and share what you can't through words.
