Kyun Manik? Kyun??

I washed my face and looked in the mirror.

"You are strong Nandini! A guy can't break you." I said to myself and went outside.

I banged with Alya di

"Nandu, kaha Chali gayi thi tum? Chalo, photo session ho Raha hai di aur Jiju ke sath." I faked a smile and went with her.

"Nandu, aja beta!" Taiji spotted me and said. Alya di and I went on stage. Taiji, mummy, Taiji,papa, and all cousins were there. We clicked a picture .

"Chalo, ab sirf tum bache log picture le lo. Hmm" Taiji said and went down. I turned behind to fix my lehenga, which was stuck somewhere.

"Nandu, Alya, in logo ke sath bhi lele picture" I heard Taiji.

"Han, Taiji, main-" I said and turned back.

"Manik" I said softly. It was Manik and Shaina.
I looked away because Manik was looking at me.

"Ji Taiji, guests ki kaise khatirdari karni hai, mujhe ache se aata hai!" I said angrily.

"Guest nahi hai, Manik is a part of our family. Aur ye ladki bhi teri friend hai kya?" Taiji hit me and said, and seeing Shaina, she asked.

"Ji" I said, almost in a whisper. Manik looked at me in surprise because he expected me to tell everyone.

"Manik tu Nandu ke pas khade hoja!" Taiji said. We stood and he whispered,

"Thanks, for not telling everyone. I-"

"Bhaiya, ap photo lijiye na jaldi!" I ignored him.

"Sir, ap thoda shift ho jaye..madam ki taraf." He told Manik. I rolled my eyes. He shifted a little and our hands brushed with each other's. I closed my eyes, I didn't want to feel that way!

"Ma'am, ap us side jaye! Idhar aa nahi Raha apka picture" He told Shaina. She went the other side.

I forced a smile on my face and he clicked a picture.

We all moved downstairs. I was going towards the hall, where the phere were going to take place, when I felt a pull on my hand.

"What are you doing?"  I shouted as Manik pulled me to a side and pinned me to the wall.

"Nandini, tumhe meri baat Sunni hogi!" He said.

"Pehle tum meri baat suno, Kyun? Kyun samjhana chahte ho mujhe? Na hi main, Tumhari friend Hun, na hi tum mujhse pyar karte ho! To tumhe Kyun farak padta hai ki main gussa Hun ya nahi! Mujhe hurt hua hai ya nahi!" I said with tears rolling down my eyes.

Thank god main makeup nahi Karti! Warna, Abhi Kali bhoot lagti!

He didn't say anything.

"Nahi hai na jawab! Mr. Khandelwal, tonight is the wedding and tomorrow, the reception. Uske bad, hum kabhi ek dusre se baat nahi karenge! " I said.

I pushed him aside and moved forward when I felt a hand on mine..

"Farak padta hai Nandini!" I turned around and looked in his eyes.

There was pain.

Nandini, no! You can't melt again.

"Tumhari baatein ab mujhe Sahi nahi lagti. Sachi nahi lagti!" I said and ran away.

*Manik*

Kaise bataun tumhe? Farak padta hai mujhe!

Main nahi chahta tha tumhe aise dekhna!

"Baby, yaha ki wedding kafi achi hai!" Shaina came and said.

I wiped away some drops of tears and smiled.

"Shaina, why did you come here? I asked you to not! Then why?" I asked her.

"Baby, dad ki business conference ke liye hum Ahemdabad aye the! Aur tumse mile hue four days ho Gaye the! I just couldn't resist myself!" She said playing with the button of my sherwani.

"But Shaina..-" She placed her finger on my lips and said,

"Kya ho Gaya hai tumhe! You look so hot. Agar yaha shaadi nahi hoti na, to main tumhe Abhi-" She said, moving towards my lips.

"Shaina, yaha bahut log hai! Not here!" Why was I feeling awkward when she came close to me! It's not the first time.

"You don't love me anymore na!" She started crying.

Oh god! Shit.. kisine dekh Liya to kya sochenge!

"Shaina, stop crying! Please, baby! I love you..I do!" I cupped her face and said.

"Prove it" How do i explain her, love is not something to be proven!

"Fine" I looked around and kissed her on the cheek.

She got happy and hugged me.

I looked around to see Nandini, who ran away when she saw me looking at her.

Why are you feeling bad Nandini? They are a couple! Toh they will come close na.

"Nandu" I heard Alya di.

"Han di" I said, moving towards her.

"Bola tune use?" She asked softly.

Kya batau di Ko! I don't want her to hate Manik!

"Di, hum badme baat karte hai na..iske baare me. Woh mummy bula Rahi hai Abhi!" I said and went from there.

Till when will you avoid Nandini?!

I remembered the moment he said,

"Mujhe farak padta hai Nandini!"

No Nandini! Don't become weak. He is just fooling you.

The night which I wanted to be the most special, became the worst one. Isse acha to ye hota ki main bolti hi nahi! Kam se Kam, Apne man me hi sochti Rehti, he also likes me.
